Volle's Bridal & Boutique

I ordered my wedding dress from Volle’s Bridal in Lake Zurich, Illinois. I thought going to a smaller store would be better for me, but in the end I questioned my decision. I ordered my dress a year and a half before the wedding date since the dress I fell in love with was at a Volle's trunk show. I LOVED this dress and couldn’t wait for its arrival. I contacted Volle’s four months before the wedding, when they told me my dress would be in. After all, it was handmade, hand-beaded silk and would take “eight months to make.” When I called, to my surprise, I was told my dress had a flaw in it when it shipped to Volle’s, and they had to send it back. They told me a new one was being made. I wasn’t sure how they were going to pull this off, but I called two weeks later, as they instructed, when I was told my dress had been lost somewhere and they were trying to track it down. I expressed how upset and stressed I was to be dealing with something like this, especially with such a reputable store. A few days later I received a call that my dress was found and I could come to view it. Instead of having my alterations done at Volle’s, I asked for the alterations fees back, and took the dress home that day. The owners of the store tried greatly to make things right since they knew I had paid much more for the dress than I had originally planned and I was driving three and a half hours up to the store for each visit. Although the effort was noticed, it does not take away from the entire experience.
