I met Marie Danielle, owner of A Votre Service Events, at a showcase. My husband & I were very impressed with her and her presentation the night we met her. We interviewed a few more planners but eventually went with her because we weren't impressed with anyone else like we were with her. She was very helpful during the wedding planning process. She gave a lot of advice, always offered her help, fast feedback (which I love! I hate waiting days for a reply) & is very knowledgable.
A few of the cons that I came across: 1) a few of my other vendors complained to me after the wedding that they only received the timeline for the wedding day, the day before and they later told me that a lot of things got thrown off because the timeline wasn't the best and they received it so last minute that they didn't have enough time to go over it and make changes 2) I didn't actually see her or a member of her crew until around 3pm, my wedding started at 6pm. There was alot going on before hand and a few vendors kept asking where is my planner so I wasn't happy to see her for the first time only a few hours before the wedding. 3) There was a misunderstanding that occurred during my ceremony that I was told about a few days after the wedding. I called Marie to ask her if she knew what had happened because I was in the bridal suite and I knew she was downstairs with the guests so she would be able to shed some light into the situation for me. Well I was not to happy with our conversation, because the response I received was the situation was my fault because I didn't make my requests clear enough on the form she gave me to fill out and there were alot of mishaps that night, etc. I wasn't calling to point the finger or to put blame on anyone just wanted to know what happened. The conversation really put a sour taste in my mouth. The vibe I got from that conversation was: as a customer I didn't have any right to ask any questions and if there was something off then it was my problem, her part was done. Looking back, I am not sure if we got what we paid for.

We have been told on many occasions (by vendors and clients alike) that the Wedding day itinerary / timeline that we put together is one of the most thorough as it includes not only the exact timing for all wedding day details, but information pertaining to all vendors, special instructions from our clients, etc.
Once an itinerary is devised, all details are subjected to review and approval by our clients well prior to the wedding day, then we share the approved information with other vendors. In the case of this wedding, the itinerary was sent for our clients' review and approval 10 days prior to the wedding day, but it was not returned to us until only 2 days prior to the wedding. Based on the wedding day logistics, it was also noted and approved that Marie Danielle from A Votre Service Events along with other team members would arrive at 3:00 PM and they arrived at the 3:00 PM time- as was approved by client.
On our itinerary, we do ask that pertinent details and special requests are disclosed as soon as possible so that our team can account for them. A successful wedding requires the sharing of information from both sides- the client and the consultant.
While we always assist our clients with questions regarding etiquette... ie. which family members are usually a part of one's ceremony processional, the final decision is always up to our clients who he / she wish to include. And in some cases there is hurt feelings on the part of those individuals who were excluded.
Again, at A Votre Service Events, customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to us, as we pride ourselves on going above and beyond what is expected and contracted by our clients. In this particular case, our client noted above that we readily offered our assistance in resolving issues, even though many of the situations were not tasks that were included in our contract. I became engaged in February. I have no family who live in NJ and knew I wanted a wedding planner to assist me in planning my wedding. I did a search and A Votre Service Events was first on the list. I called on a Sunday and Danielle, the owner, answered. We had a great conversation and I was immediately sold without even meeting her. Her passion she expressed through her voice about planning weddings was apparent and the fact the she answered on a weekend was impressive! The other wedding planners I called did not answer and when they returned the call 3 or so days later I did not get the same response. Danielle's service she provided for me was amazing. She completely understood my vision and always recommended great vendors. Come my wedding day I had no nerves because I knew that Danielle would do an amazing job and she did! Simply said, Marie Danielle from A Votre Service Events did a phenomenal job with my wedding! There were 400 people at my wedding, and everyone was amazed at how organized this event was. More improtantly, Danielle made my money go far, and everything just turned out to be classy and stylish. Somehow she created what truly resembled a platinum wedding, but stayed within my budget which was very impressive. I think this was the key to the success of my wedding. Danielle and her staff did an awesome job on our wedding. They made things very organized. They are very professional. Highly recommended. The first time we met Danielle she already had an idea of what we want for our wedding. The moment you talk to her you know that you are in good hands. She is very easy to talk to and very accomodating to our needs. She does take care of her clients. I don't think we'll be able to have our dream wedding without her assistance. Thanks Danielle! Marie Danielle was amazing. She took care of every detail on the day of our wedding. We were unsure about hiring a day-of coordinator, but it was the best purchase we made. It allowed my mom to really enjoy the wedding instead of worrying about all the details.
We hired Danielle as our "day of" wedding planner. Although she was hired for day of details, she provided so much more. From the moment I spoke to Danielle for the first time, she was attentive, responsive, caring, honest and extremely organized and helpful. She provided me with information about certain vendors, and helped me make key decisions in the wedding process. When it came down to the wedding and rehearsal, Danielle ran the show. I truly do not know what I would have done without her. I did not worry about a thing, knowing she was there and in charge. My family and bridal party all raved about her and her assistants, and commented on how wonderful they were throughout the night.
