Vows are Forever

Reverend Ciola is an excellent orator. His words, tone, and gestures all contributed to a very moving ceremony. The primary reason why Vows Are Forever scored so low on professionalism with us is that Rev Ciola and his wife Marcia (who is the ceremony coordinator and handles all the administrative issues) had agreed to both be present at our rehearsal. We had made it clear that the ceremony location was tricky w/ steps, pool, etc. and that a rehearsal would be needed. They both agreed and even confirmed with our wedding planner that they would be present at the rehearsal. But, at the scheduled rehearsal time only Marcia showed up. Marcia told us that Rev Ciola had to go perform another wedding and could not come to the rehearsal. We were surprised (as was our wedding planner) and disappointed/upset but carried on with the rehearsal. When Rev Ciola showed up for the ceremony the next morning, our bridal party reported that it was obvious he was very nervous when he saw the tricky pool set-up. Luckily, everything went smoothly - nobody fell in the pool. But, it was definitely extremely unprofessional for Rev Ciola to not come to the rehearsal and even more so that we were never notified in advance. Another minor, yet revealing incidence of the lack of attention to detail was that they gave us our wedding certificate with our names misprinted. All in all even with the faults, if we were to make the choice again, we would still choose Rev Ciola to perform our ceremony because his oration skills are just impeccable.
