We couldnt of picked a more beautiful place for our reception site. We had an evening reception outside below Vulcan. Our guests danced and enjoyed the night looking out at the Downtown Birmingham city scape. Your rental of the venue comes with access for your guests to take their glass of wine and tour the museum as well as taking the elevator to the top of Vulcan and to look over the reception. It was breathe taking and couldn't have been any better!
Great deal on the site, gave us a discount for Sunday rather than Saturday. They've been very helpful, both with things pertaining to the site and making suggestions for additional things - music, etc. So far, so good.

1. Is an appointment necessary to view the facilities at Vulcan Park and Museum?
Yes. To inquire about facility usage or to schedule a walk-through appointment, please complete our Event Facilities Request Form.
2. Can I theme my event around Vulcan and/or use the image of Vulcan to help promote my event?
Any invitation or promotional material for non-Vulcan Park and Museum sponsored events may not use the name or logo of Vulcan Park and Museum except as the designated location of the event. The use of the Vulcan Park and Museum name, logo or image to promote, advertise, or sell tickets to an event is prohibited unless the event is sponsored by Vulcan Park and Museum. Vulcan Park and Museum reserves the right to view any invitation or promotional material before its release. Media coverage of an event must be approved by Vulcan Park and Museum in advance.
3. Can any caterer be used for my event?
No. Vulcan Park and Museum provides a list of approved experienced caterers for your use.
4. Is alcohol permitted?
Yes. Alcohol is permitted when provided and served by the caterer in compliance with all applicable laws.
5. Can any florist be used?
Yes.
6. May candles be used for decorations?
Yes. Candles may be used as long as they are enclosed in a votive or vase.
7. Are bands and DJ's allowed?
Yes. Bands and DJ's are allowed both indoors and outdoors.
8. Is parking available?
Yes. Free parking is available for a maximum of 186 cars. Valet service is available for hire.
9. How many rooms are available in Vulcan Center?
One. The indoor Electra Room with its own private outdoor patio is available, plus the outdoor City Overlook is available by itself or in conjunction with the Electra Room. Read about details for both the Electra Room and the City Overlook.
