I booked a complete package with W.E.D. They provided my decor, dj services, day of coordination and helped me plan the event. I would have never made it down the aisle without their help and support. I had the most amazing wedding and the best possible vendors for what I wanted to accomplish and my budget and they helped me find all of them. Every single detail was perfect and that would have been impossible to do without Lynn and Matt. They added some amazing creative elements and gave great guidance regarding possible snafus I wouldn't have even considered. They really work hard for their brides and grooms and are an amazing team. We also hired Matt as our DJ and he was GREAT! He was so laid back and funny. Our guests loved him! He played all the right music and was SO great at reading the crowd and playing songs to keep everyone on the floor. We couldn't have been more happy with our choice to hire Matt!
Lynn and Matt provided Decoration and DJ services for our December wedding. When we first went with WED we were surprised to find out that their flat rate covered both decoration of our reception and ceremony venue! They were always available to contact and were very responsive. We were also pleased with how hard Lynn worked in scheduling meetings on the weekends for us to meet and go over everything. We were scheduling a wedding from out of town so it was great that Lynn was willing also work out chair rental, and printing of programs with vendors in the area that she knew. We weren't sure what kind of look we wanted to go with but we knew that they were pros to we left a lot up to Lynn and she didn't disappoint. Everything was beautiful and we were happy to see the majority of our guests on the dance floor for the whole evening! We received so many compliments on how beautiful everything turned out. We were so pleased with everything that we would not hesitate to recommend WED to our friends, family, and everyone in the Lansing area!
My new husband and I contacted Lynn just 4 weeks before our wedding for day-of-coordination services. She willingly accepted the task and quickly began offering her guidance and advice. Due to the unusually short timeframe for coordination, Lynn had a lot of catching up to do to understand all of the planning that had already taken place in the many months before. She never once complained or sounded stressed. Instead, she made sure she understood every detail that had been thought out, as well as the vision for our big day. Our wedding taking place in a barn, combined with extensive details for incorporating personal touches of the bride and groom, meant a BIG task for Lynn on the wedding day. Not only did she ensure that all of our details came to fruition, but also ensured that the ceremony went off without a hitch. During the few weeks leading up to the wedding day, Lynn coordinated at least one, sometimes two, phone appointments - showing a great deal of flexibility since we were out of state. She created a detailed wedding day agenda for ourselves and the vendors to outline exactly what the timeline would look like, noting important details that most would never think of - but that contributed to a seamless execution. Lynn ensured that the timeline progressed throughout the evening and dealt with any issues that popped up. After the bridal party's entrance at the reception, Lynn even took drink orders (for a total of 18 people)! I was amazed. I highly recommend Lynn to anyone looking for some help on their big day. She is extremely professional and, without a doubt, understands exactly what is needed to create the wedding of your dreams. I wish we had hired Lynn months before!
My new husband and I were lucky enough to have a flawless wedding, and it was all due to the professionals we chose to hire for our event. W.E.D. was one of them, and if our budget allowed for more services other than our DJ Matt at that point in our planning, we certainly would have had W.E.D. handle a lot more for us. The price we paid and the service we received was phenomenal - our expectations were exceeded. All communications were timely and informative leading up to our reception, and Matt was completely focused on us the entire night. If there were any guest requests, Matt ran everything by us first, which was very important to us. If you are worried about those horror stories about terrible wedding DJ services, just save yourself the hassle and go with W.E.D.. I know I sound like a spokesperson or something, but we were really impressed.
Lynn is wonderful!!! I booked W.E.D. about a month before the wedding for day-of coordination services. I regret not having her help from the beginning. We live outside Philly and got married in Michigan and planning a destination wedding was extremely stressful. I realized that there was a mountain of things that I needed to do and I didn't know what 90% of them were despite those nice checklists that are out there. From the first phone call, Lynn completely set my mind at ease. Her experience and knowledge were invaluable and as hard as your mom, sisters, aunts, soon to be mother-in-law, ect want to help, they just can't replicate Lynn. For example, I couldn't get information from the church - who was marrying us, setting up the ceremony and music, ect (kind of important things). Lynn had worked with the church before and talked me through the whole situation. She gave great suggestions, advice and recommendations and she was a perfect sounding board to bounce ideas off of. She steered us in the right direction on so many things and I always felt like she had our best interest in mind. She never tried to sell us on things we didn't want and suggested things that we never thought of like some inexpensive pew decorations that look amazing in photos. And then the wedding day...It was wonderful and perfect and the best day of our lives. And honestly, it would NOT have been that way if Lynn did take care of everything. Here are just a few of the things that Lynn did for me in addition to everything behind the scenes - a crystal fell off my dress and she sewed it back on, the bridesmaids needed bandaids for their feet, my dad changed the father-daughter dance song, my sister didn't want to give her toast and she arranged for another bridesmaid to give it, I dropped a giant piece of steak with gravy on my dress and she got the stain OUT!! I could go on and on. Seriously, I can’t recommend Lynn more highly.
My husband and I used W.E.D for all of their services for our wedding: event planning, décor, and DJ services. My husband and I had a unique situation; we had a three year engagement with me living in Arizona and my husband living in Michigan. Friends of ours in Arizona recommended W.E.D, since she planned their wedding in Michigan and they loved her! With a couple of years until our wedding, my husband I decided to meet with Lynn. The moment we met with her, we knew she was going to be a perfect fit for us. For two years, Lynn worked with us by phone conferences, email, and personal meetings. She kept us within our budget and recommended vendors that would complement our personalities and our vision for our wedding. Lynn also helped to make our wedding personal. For example, my husband I are both musicians and we knew we wanted to incorporated music in our theme. With her creativity, Lynn helped to include this theme, along with several others, with such an attention to detail within the ceremony, reception, and décor. In the same way, her husband, Matt, was just as intuitive as our DJ. We met with him and instantly knew we wanted to book him. His song selection perfectly reflected us and our guests were literally dancing all night long. On the big day, Lynn was extremely organized. If there were any “snafus” that happened that day, I did not know about it. Things flowed smoothly and beautifully. Our guests could not stop raving about the décor, the reception, and the music. They said that the wedding was like “personalized Hallmark card” that perfectly captured our personalities and love for each other. They also raved about how well Matt kept the reception lively and entertaining, along with his song choices that kept the party going. We have even had several guests ask for W.E.D’s information for future events of their own. The entire experience was great and Lynn was there supporting us every step of the way! We loved Lynn and Matt!
I asked Lynn to help with my wedding about 3ish months in advance for day-of planning. I live in Florida now but my wedding was in Michigan. She helped recommend a DJ because Matt was already booked that day and also helped narrow down a few photographers she knew in the area. She did a great job with making me realize what I needed to get done immediately and help prioritize things. I always came out of our meetings with a list, which is helpful to me! It pays off to plan in advance in order to have a stress-free wedding day.
Lynn was the first vendor we hired, and she was great throughout. In our first meeting she took one look at my pictures and suggested the perfect venue for us, then called them on the spot to see if they were available on the date, and arranged for us to go see it. At every meeting, she would listen to my plans - no matter how bizarre - then ask detailed questions I had never thought through and point out any concerns or issues that would never occur to me. If I said I didn't care, she let it go, if she pointed out something that was a problem, she helped come up with a solution. The day of, everything went smoothly and I didn't need to worry about a thing, because she was there throughout to take care of it - for instance, the pouring rain was causing a little puddling around the edges of the venue because their drains were backed up, and she made the venue take care of it and had towels and mops on hand in case it rained more - and I knew her experience was backing all the decisions we made, even on stupid little things like how many candles did I need to buy for the room to really look nice. She also knew what was realistic to plan on doing the day of and in the days leading up to the wedding, so I didn't over-commit myself at the last minute. In all, she helped make the day very laid back and low stress, allowing me to have the most fun day of my life.
Matt and Lynn were fantastic. I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful it was working with them. Their 15 yr anniversary was on our wedding date so hopefully their luck will rub off on us! :) They were so quick to get back to us and Lynn really took the pressure off me as the bride. It was the best money ever spent!
We used Matt as our Dj. He was very easy going and laid back and that was what we wanted in a DJ. He kept the kids dancing all night and even some of the people who don't normally dance were up there. He was a great Dj and didn't take over the event like most do. We were happy with our choice.
We used Lynn for day of coordination and she was wonderful on the day of the wedding. I didn't have to worry about ANYTHING. Someone stepped on my dress and a bustle came out, bam, she was there with a safety pin. Guests were getting hot, bam, she went and got the venue to turn up the A/C.
The reception was set up perfectly, and the ceremony went off flawlessly because of her direction the night before.
I gave her a 4 for professionalism, not because she wasn't a professional, but because in some of our meetings she was a little abrasive. I'm sure it's just because she wanted everything to be great for our wedding day, but I sometimes felt a little judged, or offput by things she said to me or even how she said them. That's not saying she isn't a friendly person, because she definetely is! However, if you're a sensitive person, you may need to be aware of that!
She did help me think of things I had missed, or helped with ideas in our meetings and was always willing to help me with whatever I needed!
I would totally recomment Lynn to anyone planning a wedding!

Hiring W.E.D to do full coordination, decor, and DJ services for our wedding was the best decision we could have made! Even on a very small budget, Lynn was able to pull our vision together and somehow make it more perfect that we had even dreamed of. She skillfully and professionally guided us through every aspect of the planning process and I am so thankful for her. Lynn took away so much of the stress for not only me and my husband, but our familys and guests as well. It made me so much more confident that our day would be perfect. Her ideas and knowledge far surpassed anything that we could have done on our own, and I completely believe that she is one of the main reasons that our day was so special. And Matt is simply amazing as a DJ! Our guest were dancing non-stop from the first song to the very last. Not only are Lynn and Matt amazing wedding professionals, but they are also amazing people. In short, I don’t know what I would have done without her. I used Lynn for full wedding planning and décor. There is no way our wedding would have been everything that I dreamed of without Lynn. She spent countless hours helping me plan, think of ideas, and nail down every possible detail to ensure that everything went smoothly. I initially met with Lynn and decided that I really needed her as my wedding planner. I’m one of those people who just “knows” when they meet someone, and Lynn was exactly what I was looking for. (It helped that she already had great reviews!)
At first my mother was hesitant about hiring a wedding planner or anyone to do the decor because she felt that we could do it on our own. After a two hour long decoration and wedding detail meeting with Lynn, my mother left it saying, “thank goodness you have Lynn, because there is no way I could do all of that.” The Sunday after the wedding, my mom sighed and said, “you know what, I’m really glad you had a wedding planner. She made it a lot more fun for us”.
I wanted a unique wedding that wasn’t just your ordinary “flowers in a vase” wedding. I met with other planners and decorators and no else seemed to get the vision that I had or was willing to help me pull all my ideas together. Lynn pulled everything together and made everything come to life. I had many people come up to me and my parents saying that it really was one of the most unique, fun, and best weddings they had ever been to and it was really all because of Lynn.
Everything went smoothly (at least I didn’t know if anything went wrong) and Lynn (and her team) helped me pull of the perfect wedding for us! Thanks Lynn, you are truly a lifesaver and I recommend every future bride to book Lynn.
Matt was a great DJ, he really knew how to get, and keep, everyone on the dance floor and keep the evening moving! What I really liked about Matt is that he felt the mood in the room and played the right music at the right time and picked great fill in songs - when my mother-in-law disappeared and we had to wait to cut the cake even though the song was already playing, or when the slideshow went longer than the music I picked, he just kept on going like it was planned. If you're looking for a DJ who will help make your day go smoothly and not be one of those loud and obnoxious DJs, then Matt is your guy! I would recommend Matt to everyone looking for a talented DJ!
Lynn was my all over wedding coordinator and I don’t know what I would have done without her. Lynn was incredible and helped me put on what not only I thought, but my guests also thought, was the most beautiful and fun wedding. My wedding was perfect. Since I live out of state I was not familiar with the local vendors and Lynn helped me hire a great team. There is not one thing I would change about my wedding and everything occurred as planned. Lynn has excellent taste and I grew to value her opinion very much. Lynn even took over to finish the design of some of my printed pieces (menus, escort cards ext.) when the graphic designer was not as responsive as needed. I had the utmost confidence that Lynn would get everything done and I knew no detail would fall through the cracks. Lynn was very responsive and I enjoyed working with her. Now that my wedding is over I really miss talking and e-mailing with Lynn.
Lynn deserves to be paid much more for her services than she charges. She is more than a bargain. Lynn spent a lot of time on my wedding, including driving to other cities to meet with florists and clergy. With Lynn you get an excellent and experienced event coordinator, a very talented designer, a pretty good graphic designer and a compassionate person that is accustomed to helping nervous brides make their dreams come true. I wholeheartedly recommend Lynn.
Lynn is amazing. She is super-human in all respects, above and beyond even with the day of coordination which I hired her for. She was always quick to answer e-mails, even ones that were not urgent. She had great ideas and helped out dealing with any issues with vendors that I had and suggested resolutions to problems NOT related to the actual planning that came up during the wedding. She is incredibly caring and nice. She is smart and knows what she is doing. I have absolutely no idea how she is so organized, but she is. Her day of coordination services were more than worth their price, which was incredibly reasonable as well. I can’t say enough good things about Lynn, she is invaluable and I definitely think she was the smartest “hire” I did for our wedding. From the phone calls and e-mails, to the vendor schedule, to setting up centerpieces and place cards, to making sure everyone was where they needed to be, absolutely incredible. I do not know how the day could have come together as it did without Lynn.
We also hired her husband, Matt to DJ our wedding. Actually, we hired him first before hiring Lynn! Anyway, Matt was fantastic as well, and so nice as well. The price we paid was SO reasonable and included *unlimited* DJ hours. He DJed our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Everything was perfect. He played all of the music we requested and none of the music that we did not want to hear. The lights that Matt used during the reception were great as well! The quality of sound was amazing and we had a great time!
If you are looking for someone to be a day of coordinator, decorator (she does this as well), plan, and or DJ, hired W.E.D. Lynn and Matt are the most professional and smartest vendors we hired, seriously. You cannot go wrong with them! I can’t recommend them enough.
We had a really fun time with Matt as our DJ. He respected our requests for songs we didn't want played, and also made sure all the ones we did want got included throughout the evening. He did a great job of reading the mood and atmosphere as time went by, and played appropriate music at each stage of the reception. He very easily spoke to the crowd and everything flowed smoothly. We had a blast and he was definitely a big part of it!
I hired Lynn for day-of coordination and she turned out to be one of my favorite vendors. She's got a wealth of knowledge and experience, and asks great questions during the planning phase. I have e-mailed the bride personally, asking for greater clarification on these details, as it pains me to a great extent to be anything less than ideal for a client. I do know that we added in several custom details at no additional charge, which turned out absolutely beautiful, and we received nothing but great feedback for both decor and the planning on the day of. I'm distressed to hear these comments 7 months later, especially as during the planning process and the event itself there was no suggestion of anything other than satisfaction. WED did an amazing job on our prom. Lynn took our ideas and turned them in to reality. She is very detail oriented and saw the job through from start to finish. I would highly recommend her for any event.
So you may notice that all my reviews are glowing...I'm pretty sure it's because of Lynn. I had to plan my wedding in Michigan from Arizona, with a 3 hour time difference and I know I could not have done it without Lynn. Here's why you need her:
1) Lynn has made E and I realize the benefit of a third party. She can prompt us to make decisions and bring up the hard decisions encountered when planning a wedding and it didn't end up being an argument. (think E: "you're really spending $900 on a photobooth?" Me "You don't want me to be happy!" sob sob)
2) Lynn really listened to what Eric and I wanted in our wedding and introduced us to QUALITY vendors who fit our vision.
3) Lynn helped us make a vision because as much as we thought we had one when we started, we didn't.
4) Confirmed with all the people so that everything we wanted actually happened.
5) she kept us going with decision making
6) I didn't have to worry what would happen if the cake didn't show or something because I knew Lynn would handle it. (This does not reflect mistrust in our actual vendors, just bridal paranoia)
7) I have to believe that our vendors went the extra mile because they wanted the repeat business from WED. I can't even imagine what could have happened if we were working with vendors for only one day--they could totally not follow through and we would have no recourse because the day was over and we would never see them again.
8) All night long my bridesmaids and guests were asking how I remembered to have snacks on the limo bus (Lynn) or How I thought of having a photobooth (Lynn) or How everything was so thoughtful and planned (Lynn, and me a little. I think I thought of some things).
Her husband Matt is great too--kept the party going. Kept the night going. I didn't have to remember when anything happened because there was Matt telling us it was time to cut the cake or time to dance or whatever event needed to happen. :)

Lynn and Matt were always quick to respond to emails and phone calls -- they answered every question I came up with. They also had no problem when I changed a mom/groom dance the night before the wedding!
Even though I originally hired them for DJ services, I also used their design services for backdrop lighting behind the head table.
Lynn was so helpful and offered a ton of invaluable advice.
Matt was a responsive and good DJ who learned the mood of the crowd. Our guests didn't leave the dance floor until after the lights came on at the end of the night!
Multiple guests said that it was the most fun they have had at a wedding!

I LOVE LYNN LUCAS. I don't know if I would have gotten through the wedding planning had my wife not hired her. During the wedding planning, she was a great friend, confidant, sounding board, listening ear and at times "attack dog" (lol). Most men think that they will be a part of the planning process but as all the little details come up, it starts to get a little silly and frustrating. Lynn walked us through a lot of this. My wife had already planned a good amount when we were referred to Lynn and about this time, I was checking out of the process all together. My biggest problem was dealing with issues that would arise with the different vendors. Lynn played the role of negotiator to make sure my head didn't explode. I could go on all day but have trouble remembering everything she did to keep me sane. My advice to all brides, HIRE LYNN!!! My advice to all grooms; yes it seems expensive, but all the little petty arguments will never happen if you shave your budget in other areas and hire Lynn. You will not regret it!
Lynn & Matt are two of the most genuine people I've had the pleasure of getting to know. While I have yet to work directly with Lynn, the brides I have spoken with who have booked W.E.D. have said what a tremendously generous and helpful person they've found her to be (and in our contact I can see that to be true). Matt and I have worked two weddings together now and he is not only courteous and helpful to the couple, but also to their other vendors making sure that everyone is ready for the big moments throughout your reception. He's excellent at reading the crowds and really keeps the people on your dance floor having fun!
I have had the pleasure of working with Lynn on many weddings I have performed. She is very efficient and enjoys what she does. The bride's always seem pleased with her work and talk about her to me on how much she works with them and gives them what they want. Having worked with Matt from W.E.D. at least four times now, I can tell you that he is one of the most professional DJ's I've had the pleasure of working with! Always being able to accurately read the dance floor, and making sure to play what you want (while leaving out what you don't) he takes care of the dancing so that it's one more item off of each couple's list of worries.
I've yet to work with Lynn, however every bride that we've both connected with has made sure to explain in great length how sweet, personable and helpful she is, and what an asset she has been to their planning. I'm looking forward to my turn to work with her as well in the next year!
