The W Hotel was terrific. The Great Room is gorgeous and provided the perfect atmosphere for our ceremony and reception. The staff was very responsive and made it the day go smoothly. We had a day of wedding planner, but could have done without one as the staff (John Benke and John Williams)took care of everthing. The W also catered the food which was fantastic. Thank you for a beautiful day!
I always wanted to stay at The W in Union Square and we decided that our wedding night would be the perfect time to splurge a little. I got a suite for the night before (for some BMs and I) and for the night of for us. Pretty close to the day of I decided I wanted to be in the same room for both nights to avoid the hassle of moving rooms on the day of. Sarah, the sales manager there was very accommodating with this and various other questions and arrangements for my inlaws, etc.
I was slightly disappointed for 2 reasons. I spoke to them prior to the day and had my MOH call before leaving the room for the wedding to have the room cleaned. When we got back it was clean but not spotless. I found this annoying. I had also specifically asked and mentioned a few times prior that I wanted there to be a bottle of champagne in the room when we got back after the reception. It wasn’t there. We were so pooped anyway that it didn’t really matter but I found this annoying as I had asked.
