Fallasburg Park/Kent County Parks

We have mixed feelings about this. The people were helpful and the scenery was great. It was absolutely a beautiful site for the wedding and reception. There were added cost that came up at the end, which were unexpected. Also, you have to be willing to end early. The park closes at 10:00pm, with no exception.

We had our reception at the enclosed shelter at Fallasburg Park in Lowell. Since so many of our guests were from out of town they had never been there. Everybody was so impressed with the shelter and with the park...how clean and well maintained it was. The park employees were very helpful and answered all of our questions quickly.

There is an enclosed shelter that is just gorgeous inside. It is cathedral style. Plus a nice open place surrounded by trees just out side it. There was room we could do it inside if weather was bad. It wasn't so we had a beautiful outdoor wedding and had the reception inside the building. It's a great place if you want an outdoor wedding the the option to move it inside to a beautiful place with a fireplace it weather turns bad. Cause that was one thing about planning a outdoor wedding was what if it rains that day. But this takes care of that. great place.

Had to schedule in January for an August wedding. We were approached by another couple who also wanted to get married in our location 2 hours later. We split the cost of the reservation area for our ceremonies.

My husband and I rented the shelterhouse and it was exquisite. The only complaint came from the grandmothers who didn't like the pinic table seating. I will admit it was a chore to get seated with my wedding dress on. However, for the price ($150) it was well worth it.
