Nicole helped us book & worked out price & details for us. She was so nice & polite & even took calls & emails on her days off! We met Frances at the tasting & she is a true professional! Treats her guests like gold & delivers everything she says she will. Just great to work with - really eases your mind when you're planning a wedding & have so much on your mind to know that Frances has all the venue details handled. She was with us for the rehearsal, ceremony, cocktail hour and got the reception started. She clearly cannot rest until she's certain that her guests have everything they need down to the last beautiful detail. Maria was our personal maitre 'd throughout the wedding night. She was sooo wonderful! She felt like a friend from the first moment I met her! She was never under foot but always right there when I needed ANYTHING big or small. She's really great! Very hardworking but so sweet about it. We loved every moment of our wedding & the venue choice was a huge part of that. I cannot tell you how many compliments my parents, husband & I got (and are still getting!) on the wedding!! People sent cards & phone calls raving it was the best they'd ever been to :) Waterside is gorgeous - very elegant & modern - & that view is indescribable - 2nd to none! And the food is amazing!! Delicious, sophisticated, beautiful & served with perfection from a very friendly, skilled wait/bar staff that goes above & beyond. All of our guests truly enjoyed every moment & we're so grateful for that. I highly recommend Waterside!! You will never regret having your event there! From the moment we visited Waterside and saw the amazing rooms and breath-taking views, we knew this was the place to celebrate the most important day of our lives. We committed to the Waterside not only because of the views, but the outstanding quality of service we received from the Waterside staff. Especially working with Lesley and Frances throughout our engagement has made our planning experience stress-free as they were very helpful in answering all our questions and fulfilling all our needs. They were so professional and welcoming the entire duration of our planning to the emails that were responded promptly and to making our special day smooth sailing.

On the day of our wedding, the staff executed our wedding day with perfection! We were blown away by how beautiful the ceremony and reception was elegantly set up. They went above and beyond our expectations! A special thanks to our Maitre D', Shantal, who was supportive and accommodating to our vendors. She brought us samples of food being served to ensure we were able to experience all of the delicious cocktail items that were offered to our guests.

An entire review could be devoted to the food that was served. The quality of the food is just as impressive as the quantity. Everyone loved our signature drinks (Jets Mania & Big Blue), the delicious Viennese desserts, the attentive service, and all of the little details. The staff was extremely courteous to all of my guests and we were very impressed on how accommodating and quickly they returned with our requests.

Our guests are still raving about our wedding-from the decor, to the food, to the staff as by far the BEST venue they had ever been to. Our entire engagement experience and wedding day was made PERFECT by Lesley, Frances and the rest of the Waterside team. Thank you so much for being a part of our wedding that was beyond anything we ever imagined!

The waterside was fantastic! I got married the weekend after hurricane sandy. They were so amazing and reassuring that my day would be as perfect as I imagined and it was that and more! Everyone at the waterside is extremely helpful especially shantal and frances. If I had any questions they would respond immediately. I can not thank you guys enough for all the help with everything..Beginning to end you guys were there! All our guests were amazed by the venue, the food, and the staff.. You guys aimed to please and it showed, my parents were so amazed by the help as well making it a stress free day for them!!! Allen and myself could not be happier! I can literally sit down and thank each one of you for all the help because each one of the girls helped us sooo much. I will however just praise a little more (girls don’t take offense hahahaha) for Shantal because she had to deal with me thru the actual wedding day hahahaha…but she was on point and was always making sure we were okay..

We just received pictures from the photographer and were going to either stop by or send you pictures of the wedding showing the venue..(They came out spectacular)..Most likely next week we will pass by!

I recently had my wedding at the Waterside on October 12, 2012 and couldn't be happier with my choice of venue! Shantal and rest of the team at the Waterside did an amazing job, the food was beyond fantastic. Their attention to detail was top notch. All of our guests have been raving about it....the view of NYC, the food and outside ceremony site really made it a dream wedding that was elegant, classy and fun! I highly recommend this venue for your wedding, especially if your guest list is in the 90-150 ppl range. Great venue!

The views of Manhattan from the Waterside are unbeatable! And so is the food! We received rave reviews on the cocktail hour! Frances and her team were very attentive and detailed in helping plan our wedding reception, and making it truly special.

As the father or the bride in the KUSHNER_LAROCCA wedding I dont normally do after the fact surveys or reviews....However my wife asked me to follow up on her review and add some comments of my own....First, she told me that she intended to give all 5's but something went wrong when she did the revieww...OK, all fives...My thoughts are these...If you are looking for a cite with super ambience,its on the Hudson River people....With out of the ordinary wedding food...ie. They offer suckling WHOLE pig, LOL, with a GREAT STAFF then maybe should should give this place a shot.....
If your NOT inclined to the above , go someplace else and have a BLAH affair!!!

Our children just got married at the Waterside on 9/9/12. I do have to say at first I was a bit skeptical but the affair surpassed my wildest expectations.

We first signed with Bob whom was very accomodating and a gentlemen. We finalized with Fran, whom really knows her stuff and knows the catering business.

Our matre'd was Shantel whom was the best to work with and easy to get along, starting from two weeks before to the night of. Shantel and Fran were there to see the affair went off without a glich and it certainly did. From figther jets flying over us at the ceremony to fireworks from Hoboken, we couldn't have even planned this to happen!!!!

Our guests through the whole affair kept coming over to us and the bride and groom saying this was one of the best weddings they had ever been to.

Thank you again to Bob, Fran, Shantel and even Guss!!! for making us so proud and happy on our children's special day. We would recommend you highly to anyone we know!!!

I do not even know where to start! Frances, George and Shantal really made my wedding day the best day of my entire life (I mean it). They took care of absolutely everything. My vision was executed to perfection. The entire wedding process was a piece of cake with them. There was never any doubt in my mind that they would provide me with nothing but the best. They were even flexible enough to let my cocktail hour run an extra 30 minutes while I was stuck in traffic on my way there!! And not once did they ask for an extra cent beyond our contract.

Brides to be, this is the place to have your wedding not only because of the staff and service but also because our guests raved about how amazing the views were. One of our guests said they had never seen views of NYC like the ones they saw at our wedding. We were also lucky enough to have fireworks at our wedding which was an added surprise that literally made me cry.

Can't say enough good things about my experience there, a family run business with true dedication to what they do. So glad we choose this venue.

The Waterside was the perfect venue for our reception. My husband and I only looked at two venues with the Waterside being the first. After visiting the second venue, we knew right away that nothing else would compare to the Waterside. Not only does the Waterside offer you an amazing backdrop, but the rooms themselves are beautiful. The room on the third floor comes complete with built-in Flat Screen TVs and LED lighting, all things that would normally cost extra. In addition to the venue being wonderful, the food was incredible as well. All throughout the evening and into the next day, our guests continued to let us how much they enjoyed the wedding. Futhermore, what really made the day perfect was the entire team at Waterside. From day one they were extremely responsive any time I sent them an email. They made me feel like everything would be perfect and it was! Thank you for making our day beautiful and a for the great party!

My husband, Dean, and I celebrated our wedding at Waterside on August 4, 2012. It was only a year ago that we walked into Waterside and realized that it was where we wanted to share our love and happiness with our friends and family. Waterside was an AMAZINGG venue to have my wedding at. The food, service and the planning provided by Frances and her team was superb. Every single detail was taken care of, and on the day of the wedding Maria was at my side the whole time, Frances was there checking everything and we felt extremely comfortable and I would not change a single thing. I will add the food is also delish and we recieved many many compliments from our guests about Waterside, the food and of course the impeccable service.

We just had our wedding reception at the Waterside this June and it was amazing! Planning a wedding, especially in 3 months as we did, can be overwhelming. Fran, the owner, gave us complete peace of mind from the moment we met to the final moment of our event. Jeffrey, my now husband, and I were in search for a stylish and modern reception venue overlooking the NYC skyline for our June 9, 2012 nuptial. We inquired with Liberty House, Chart House, Hyatt Regency in Jersey City, and Harborside, but Waterside was the only venue that offered a competitive and impressive wedding package. We dealt with Bob and Frances throughout the whole wedding planning period. They were both very sincere, warm, and professional to work with. Frances especially listened to our concerns and gave us helpful suggestions in selecting the menu. The mango pineapple cosmopolitan, our signature drink, was a hit! Her experience in the catering industry was assuring and we knew we chose the right reception venue. The new renovations made throughout the entire building made the venue even more beautiful. The views of the NYC skyline was spectacular throughout the daytime and evening hours. Our family and friends were not only impressed with the atmosphere but also with the delicious food, fabulous lighting, and attentive service received from the entire Waterside staff. We are sooo grateful for the service we received from The Waterside Restaurant and Catering! My husband and I had our wedding reception there the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.

The views of the city were amazing during the day and night. We used the second floor for the cocktail hour and our guests were impressed instantly by the appearance and the views. Our reception was held in the third floor ballroom. We had purple uplighting which were absorbed perfectly into the white sheer drapes on the walls. We were very pleased with the decor.

The entire experience was absolutely perfect and we could not ask for anything more.

Frances was the first person we met with when we had our appointment and were looking at reception venues. She was very warm, welcoming and it was clear that she is very passionate about her restaurant which is part of what attracted us to the venue.

Throughout the year I kept in contact with Shantal who was VERY responsive and helpful as well as Lesley. They answered all of our questions and were there every step of the way. Marie was our Maitre d' for the night and made sure we had whatever we needed before we could even think about it.

The food was also outstanding!

I could not recommend Waterside enough!! They were absolutely incredible and their goal is to make your wedding day all you have dreamt of. The incredible staff at Waterside made our wedding such a wonderful day to remember!! Our family and friends have declared it a "fairy tale wedding" and have been raving about the food and the beautiful views ever since. Waterside was so helpful and gracious throughout the entire planning process and went above and beyond to make our day extra special. Frances is an amazing woman to work with for all of the events we hold at Waterside. She makes it as simple as contacting her giving her the name of the party, how many guests, and an idea of what we want food wise, along with a color scheme, and she adds all of the bells and whistles to make each and every one special in it's own way. We held our daughter's wedding reception at The Waterside Restaurant. The entire experience was wonderful! The venue has a spectacular view of the Manhattan skyline and everything has been recently renovated. The food is outstanding, highest quality and abundant. Everything about this place is first class. The Waterside staff is the number one reason to use this venue. They anticipated all of our needs and exceeded our expectations for service and attention to detail. They provided two maitre d's for the reception night who catered to the needs of the bride, groom, and us. We would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone considering a New York area wedding. You will not find a better venue.

Our wedding reception was beautiful, our friends & family thought the quality & quantity of food was perfect, along with the beautiful view. The only complaints we have were about the service, our guests complained that they didn't have enough time to enjoy their dinner because the waiter cleared the tables too quickly. As for me & my husband.. We were both VERY disappointed with our matradi (shantel) Not once did she come up to us & ask us if we needed ANYTHING!! She greeted us at our entrance & said her goodbye's at the end of the night, she didn't make any effort to ask us anything the entire night. Our Dj was the person who coordinated everything for us, while she sat there & took pictures of the belly dancers. As a matter of fact she allowed our entertainers to use our bridal suite for a changing room.. My husband & I went to the rm so that I can change into my 2nd gown & found the 2 dancers in there. We had our personal belongings in that rm, and were very disappointed to find out it was Shantel who allowed them to use it. I thought the waterside was a beautiful place, the food was spectacular, and the view was breathtaking.. We thought Francis & bob were very professional & kind.. We also thought Lesley was nice to work with.. The only major complaint was the food being rushed & the horrible matradi who gets paid to do nothing.

As a little girl you have dreams of having this amazing beautiful wedding, well the Waterside in North Bergen made that dream come true. Their place sets the ambience, the elegance and class that left my guest in awe. They "Thanked" me for a fabulous night. My co-workers said it was so great they could not stop smiling.. The food was great and the view of the NYC Skyline is unbelievable, very romantic.... the service is in a league of their "own", they were constantly asking the guest if they need anything... a drink, a cup of coffee or just a smile. Last but not least if you get the pleasure to work Mr. Frances Vagias, you wll be blessed as she will ensure you that your night is the most special and memorable event and because of her you will feel so that night. My husbaund and I just got married at the Waterside- we had the most unbelievable experience with the staff and the resturant itself. Throughout our entire wedding experience with the staff at the Waterside it has been nothing but easy,accomodating and pleasureable. They provided every detail and every moment that would happen the night of the wedding. I could not have asked to work with better people than the people at the Waterside. They make you feel that you are the only person that they care about and that your day is the most special to them just as if it were there own. The place speaks for itself- the rooms are beyond any words that would be fitting to describe it- its just that remarkable. The food is not your typical catering- its just like the resturants and is out of this world. The staff at the waterside gives you a wedding that will be talked about way after the wedding is over (people are still talking about our own wedding). My Wedding Reception was more then I could have ever dreamt! Frances and her crew of fabulous people made my day an event that people are still talking about! The food is unbelievable and the portion sizes beyond generous! The people are extremely friendly, helpful and do everything in their power to make your dreams come true. The price was fantastic! I never thought I could have my city view, wonderful food, and a great venue at such a reasonable price. If you are looking for the wedding of your dreams with a beautiful view of the city, food that is unbelievable, a gorgeous newly redesigned venue and people that will make you feel like you are the only Bride they have ever had their focus on!!!!! You MUST get married at The Waterside! I will continue to go back for dinner, brunch and will most likely have another event at the Waterside. I highly recommend them for any event you may have!!!!

I recently attended a wedding at Waterside I was one of the bridesmaids, & I must say it was wonderful! The place looked amazing, the set up was great and everything the bride had asked to be done was done perfectly. The LED lighting added such a difference in the two rooms. We were on the second floor for cocktail hour and third floor for reception and the 2 TVs in the 3rd floor with the live camera was so cool. The staff, there was 2 Maitre Ds were on top of everything. The food was great. Overall I had such a great time! I recommend it to everyone!

This venue is beautiful for a wedding. Aside from the very elegant ballrooms and decor, the food is amazing. Our guests raved about the food and how beautiful the rooms are. My husband and I visited so many venues but could not find one with both superb food and a beautiful location until we saw Waterside. In addition, the the professionalism exhibited was excellent. From the staff, to Maitre'D to management, they were attentive to every detail, very responsive and accomodating. We look forward to returning for the next special occasion.

We stumbled upon this hidden gem, just 2 days after we got engaged. It was perfect for us. Had everything we dreamed of, Skyline, Hudson River, Atmosphere, Great food and drinks. We worked with everyone but mostly Frances. Each of them were great. Frances made me feel at ease every time we went there for a meeting. It was the best decision we could of ever made for our wedding! I am still getting compliments on how nice everything was. The cocktail hour was amazing along with reception. Waterside is definitely a hidden treasure in New Jersey. We did a lot of research online and we finally found what we were looking for…Waterside! It was the only location we went to look at and immediately booked our Wedding Day 11/18/11! The Venue is Amazing it has everything we envision close in NJ but yet you have NYC skyline view. It has modern chic ballrooms with excellent food and drinks. We had our ceremony on the 1st floor with the beautiful skyline of NYC in the background. Our reception was in the 2nd floor which is so modern & chic. We will look back many years and be happy we picked Waterside. We have beautiful photos for memories to last. In addition, the staff is amazing! Bob helped us book our wedding and Frances is so sweet, she made it her priority to make sure everything was perfection for our dream wedding! Our Maitre’Ds Shantel & George were so sweet and attentive!

Waterside is beautiful, an absolutely gorgeous place to have a wedding. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the setting is. Everyone was great to work with, especially Frances. I can't say enough about my experience with Waterside. My husband and I got married on a hot summer afternoon at the edge of the Hudson River, followed by an amazing cocktail hour outdoors and an elegant reception on the 2nd floor with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the greatest city in the world. I HATE reception halls that have no windows and you feel like you're celebrating in a cave! This venue was the complete opposite. My guests still talk about it when I see them and the wedding topic comes up. The package included was outstanding (especially compared to local competing venues). The food was great and the service was even better. I worked with Shantal throughout the entire process including the day of our wedding. She was responsive throughout, professional, friendly, helpful, and SO accommodating to our requests. The day of, she was there constantly asking if we needed anything and how she could make our day more special. I saw her smiling face (without being intrusive) throughout the entire event making sure things were running smoothly. She genuinely cared. I highly recommend Waterside (and Shantal) to anyone researching a wedding venue - believe me you and your guests will never forget your experience!

I can't say enough great things about the Waterside! Frances was amazing from the first day we met her when we were looking for places. She gave us a great deal and made sure that everything was planned to perfection.

The food was amazing from beginning to end. The servers were amazing as well and there wasn't a time that my husband and I did not feel like we were at our wedding since everyone was so great.

Frances suggested the majority of the other vendors that we went with for our wedding and everything ran very smoothly.

We took pictures at the Waterside during the cocktail hour. They have a great view of NYC and while we were taking pictures, the servers made sure that the bridal party had food from the cocktail hour and gave us water.

The bartenders were also amazing and so much fun.

The Waterside is a beautiful catering hall with amazing views of NYC. We chose the Waterside because of the view and gorgeous catering rooms. We planned out wedding in just 2 months, the price was right for us and Frances made our planning very easy. We loved our wedding and highly recommend the waterside. Great location and food too.
