Watson Caterers

We chose Watson Caterers for our youngest daughter's wedding at the Evergreen Museum & Library last June. My daughter liked them the best of all the caterers on the list you can choose from, because they designed a menu for us using many organic and locally sourced foods. We loved working with Tracey Watson. She prepared a delicious tasting for us at the beginning of the process of selecting a caterer. After that, we were sold! She and her staff helped us throughout the wedding planning; selecting linens, beverages, etc... It was always a pleasure meeting with Tracey! No detail was ever too small or overlooked!

The June wedding was amazing! Everything turned out as planned and the evening ran very smoothly. Cocktails and appetizers on the terrace were beautiful! Tracey's staff had everything set up and ready to go when our guests arrived. The bartenders and service staff were all very courteous and professional. The dinner served in the Carriage House was delicious! There again, the presentation and service were outstanding! Our guests really enjoyed themselves and we got comments like, "This was the best wedding ever!" and "Best wedding food ever!"

We would highly recommend Watson Caterers to any of our friends or family! They took very good care of us!

Watson was one of six local caterers that we were considering to cater our wedding reception. We decided on Watson because they cooked us a fierce steak, had wonderful hand crafted appetizers and instilled a trust that went beyond the terms of the contract. We got a good feeling about Watson, and after comparing the costs and quality, they were the obvious choice. We were as thrilled to give the job to Watson as they were to add a client to their books.

If Watson was a chemistry lab and food was on the periodic table, then they discovered a new element that night. The food was even better than we remembered it to be at our tasting. The steaks were consistently medium, tender and delicious. The waitstaff was sharp, entergetic and professional. Watson went out of their way to ensure that our wedding night would be a lasting memory.

We are sure that we made the right choice and look forward to our next encounter.

Watson Caterers catered my 10/2/11 wedding in Annapolis, MD. They absolutely exceeded my expectations and really came though for us on our wedding day. Our families and guests had only positive things to say about the food and their service. They were extremely professional and really on top of everything that day and evening. Everything they were in charge of ran so smoothly!

We had decided early on that we wanted a more unique Mexican food buffet dinner, with hors d' oeuvres and that we would provide our own alcohol. I researched and spoke with over 12 different catering companies (many also listed here on weddingwire). We did tastings with 5 companies, including Watson. We had a very strict budget that we needed to work with. Watson was extremely competitive and found ways to work with our budget. They were always professional and responsive from the start of our communications. And we were blown away at the tasting!!! They really understood what kind of feel and theme we were going for with the menu and food. Their chef is amazing...wow, the flavors and the spices...oh my, those black beans were the best we've ever had and the meat was so tender! Soooo delicious, and we are hard to please!

But honestly, while 2 other companies were also in the running and were within our budget, we chose Watson because of the quality and taste of their food and their presentation and attitude at the tasting. We met with Tracey (the owner) and Jack Elsby. They answered all our questions and explained in detail how everything from the presentation to the food to the bar would work the day of. Jack did a good job of dealing with my concerns. He also promised to provide some sangria for the reception - which he did! They also had the wonderful idea of featuring a special ethnic hors d' oeuvre dish from a family recipe - this was a very nice touch!

The day of our wedding, we got to the venue early during the set-up time frame (our ceremony & reception were held in the same place and we arrived very early for pre-ceremony pics). Jack and his crew were there hard at work setting everything up. And oh no, we had brought all of our alcohol for the bar but forgot the sodas! No worries, Jack ran out to the store for us and picked some up. I was impressed by the friendly and kind attitude that each person from the Watson staff had. They actually looked really happy for us and to be there!

After the ceremony they served us (the bride and groom) a plate of the hors d' oeuvres, then dinner and then our cake. They always checked on us to see if we needed more drinks, etc. Everyone acted professionally and treated our guests very well, also always checking with each table to make sure everything was okay. The best part? They also were patient in dealing with our corgi dog (the ring bearer) that was running around trying to sneak into the kitchen! At the end of the night they were very quick in cleaning up and working in accordance with the guidelines required by our venue. And they also provided us with a special to-go box of food which was so appreciated since I did not get to eat much during the wedding. They also made sure to package up and give us the leftover wedding cake.

Other than a small snafu with billing details, I truly feel that we got a great value. Watson strived to work with our budget and looking at the quality of food and service you would think we had spent double (or more!) than what we did. Fabulous! Jack really ran the show and saved the day. I would highly recommend them to other couples looking for amazing food, a unique menu, top-notch service, friendly staff and competitive rates.

Our daughter's wedding was a perfectly beautiful event and most of the credit goes to Watson's Caterers. We were impressed from the first meeting.
Tracy was pleasant, knowledgeable and very helpful as she worked within our budget.
Jack went above and beyond in smoothing out all of the inevitable bumps in the road as we headed for the big day.
Michelle did an awesome job of keeping the reception flowing and happy and the staff was attentive and friendly.
The food was absolutely incredible and everyone raved about it.
The ceremony and reception were held outside at Marshy Point Nursery in Middle River. After several days of rain that week it dried up quite well and thanks to Watson's everything went off without a hitch.
We look forward to using Watson's Caterers in the future!

Unbelievable Menu! It is so true that you pay for what you get. You may think Watson's is a little more expensive but they are so worth it. I have never been to a wedding where people raved about the food and was determined that mine would be different and it was. People raved about the menu, the Oysters at the raw bar were some of the best I've ever had. My husband and I have had the opportunity to entertain customers at some of the finest restaurants in MD, DC and VA and this was one of the best meals we ever had! Our signature drink, which Watson's design, was a White Peach Sangria and was an absolute hit!

We had the very best wedding day with the great services from Watson's Catering. I felt that they considered "our" wedding "their" wedding with unbelievable attention to every detail, from the raw bar in a boat to beautiful food to the ultimate service. The bride and groom and fiends are still talking about it 2 years later

Tracey was dso great to work with!! She exceded all of my expectations of what a caterer was. The food was fantastic and the decor was amazing. She did an awesome job!! People are still talking about our wedding from 7 months ago!

Watson's is the ultimate one-stop-shop! I live outside of Baltimore, so I really needed a professional to help me out with my wedding. It was outstanding! My friends are STILL saying that the food is the best they have ever had at a wedding. There isn't a cookie-cutter menu you have to go with, which was great because they really CATER to your tastes. My husband is picky too, but Tracey personally made sure that all of the details were just perfect, and her staff was very professional.

Watsons was a real pleasure to work with. They made it feel very personal....like we were their only concern! When we arrived at the wedding/reception, my mouth just dropped. It was everything we had hoped for and more! The food and service was excellent. We had no disappointments or regrets!!

With all of the parts to a wedding the one thing we never worried about was the catering. The staff at Watsons was always prepared and organized. Our buffet dinner was delicious and plentiful ,which is important. With food that good, guests wanted more. The entire experience was terrific. I will use them again!

Watson Caterers has been our Caterer for six years. They did an amazing job for our wedding in 2006. Our 200 guests couldn't say enough about the delicious dinner that was served. The food and service is 1st Class! We always have Watsons Caterers for all our Charity Events and Parties. Traci Watson and her Staff are professional and detail oriented.
