Wayne Toshikazu Photographers

We haven't received our wedding photos yet, and I'll update this when we do, but our engagement pictures, and the sneak preview for our wedding are unbelievable (which he posted just DAYS after our wedding; http://blog.waynetoshikazu.com/2009/06/10/lauren-matt-san-luis-rey-mission-and-carlsbad-ca-wedding/)!!

We met Wayne in August, 2008 after I saw his name on Amanda Auer's blog. It was only a month after we got engaged. We met over a glass of wine at the Balboa Bay Club. At the time we met, he was new to the business, and we actually found out that Wayne, Matt (my husband) and I had all gone to law school together. Wayne left law school after his first year, and it's obvious he made the right choice. Matt and I are so glad that he escaped the grips of the law, and found something that he truly loves (we secretly wish we had done the same).

When we met, he only had pictures from one wedding (as a second shooter) to show us as an example. You'd think that this would make Matt and I nervous, but believe it or not, hiring Wayne was the easiest and quickest decision we made. Matt didn't even want to meet with any other photographers. With blogs these days, it's so easy to compare photography styles. We poured over different photographers' websites, but we couldn't help but be drawn to Wayne's crisp, colorful, and emotional shots. We knew that he was an amazing wedding photographer in the making.

His photographs speak for themselves--breathtaking. You can see that he manages to capture the pure emotion of the moment. But what you can't see, without actually knowing us, is that he also captures exactly who we are as individuals and as a couple. His photos are purely just US.....only looking better than we ever thought we could look.

He also goes above and beyond to be helpful, accommodating, and kind. His quiet and relaxed personality allows you to forget the camera and just be yourself. He's meticulous, and loves technology -- two things that are must-haves in a wedding photographer. He ran our wedding like he was an old pro! And he brought a long a second-shooter, Araxi, that was fun, inviting, and very talented.

Snatching up this talent was the single best wedding vendor decision we made. Hire him! You won't regret it.

I hired Wayne as a 2nd photographer for my wedding & also for my rehearsal dinner. I'm so glad I did! He is new to the business but you would never be able to tell if you looked at his work. His photos are beautiful & true. My family & friends are amazed by the images. My hubby & I can't believe we can look that good in photos. =)

Oh my gosh, all I can say is WOW, thank goodness you walked away from law school!!

You are amazingly talented, and we are SO lucky!! The pictures are so beautiful, and WAY beyond what Matt and I could have EVER expected! We always root for the little guy, but you're not going to be one for very long! :)

I was working with Wayne at his very first wedding and we hit it off right from the start. My husband and I struck up a conversation during dinner with him that lead to emailing afterwards about this industry and then to him jumping full-force into it. I am SO glad he did- I have been constantly impressed with his images. In fact, the first wedding we worked together, I gasped aloud when he sent over the pictures to me. I couldn't believe the natural talent he had! Since then, we've worked together a few times and I still cannot recommend Wayne enough! Not only are his images crisp, photo-journalistic, and fresh... but he is TIMELY with blogging his images! Something that us coordinators, and the clients of course, are very excited by. If you're looking for a photographer that will care about you and your wedding and still give you 100% amazing images, Wayne is your guy!
