How long have you been photographing weddings, and do you have some previous customers that we could contact?

Both my associate and I have studied photography and have our diploma in Professional Photography. It was completed at Western Academy of Photography in Victoria B.C., Canada. We have been photographing Weddings for four years. I have also done numerous Weddings Internationally.
There are numerous testimonials on our website and any of our clients would be willing to be contacted.


What is your typical turnaround time to process the images?

All edited images are hosted on a secure website where the bride and groom have access to view the images and edit them further if need be. Family and friends are then given access with the ability to order images directly. Images are available through one of the largest professional photography hosting sites in North America-Pictage. This process usually takes a week or two. After that, depending on the end product (clients can chose an album or if they wish to build their their own they can chose
a disk) it can take up to a month or two for the album or only shipping time for the disk.

Do you include post-production services (RAW processing, touch-ups, etc) ?

Both my Associate and I shoot RAW. Therefore we need to process the images and all editing is done using Aperture and Photoshop. Clients receive only fully edited and touched up images.

Do you provide prints/albums? Are they archival quality?

The albums are ordered through Asuka (one of the premiere album companies) and are in the style of a coffee table book and are included in all our packages. (As the package size increases so does the number of pages in an album). If clients would prefer a more traditional approach to their album and have actual prints in their book that too can be done. All printing and ordering of Prints is again done through Pictage. They print and bind the albums and it is archival quality.

Do you provide digital negatives? If so are these provided in RAW format, Jpg, Tiff (all three)?

Depending on the package the digital negatives are either included or can be added on to the base package. They are provided in high resolution JPEG format as most clients don't have the software necessary for RAW. If a client would like it in RAW, the files are enormous but it can be done.

How many photographers would you provide for the event? Who would they be?

You have TWO Professional Photographers for your Wedding. They are myself and Kate Mahaits. If one of us were to fall ill or be assigned to another wedding (we sometimes take two bookings a day) another Professional Photographer would step in. You will always have two fully trained photographers at your disposal.

What sort of camera(s) and lenses do you use? Does your equipment support enlargements up to (or beyond) 16x20?

Shooting RAW allows us all the flexibility one could ever want for enlargements. Enlargement can go well beyond 16x20. Kate shoots Nikon and I shoot Canon. Both are professional cameras and our lenses range from wide angle to telephoto and macro.

How do you like to light events?

We use ambient light as much as possible but also use fill flash and have professional off camera flashes for tougher lighting situations. We also use reflectors if need be.

Do you have any sort of back-up plan in case of unforeseen problems?

Both Kate and I also have film cameras and extra camera bodies fully ready and loaded if any gear was to malfunction. In the case of inclement weather, we have numerous indoor locations and covered areas that would be a great alternative. Umbrellas also make a romantic backdrop for any location.
