I needed several inches taken in throughout the torso of my dress. Plus need some extra lace transformed into straps. Mahtab did a great job, the fit of my dress was perfect. I paid $400 for the work which seemed pricey but she had to take in a lot and I have two fittings. Very nice to work with and very clean house. Felt extremely comfortable leaving my dress in her hands

Mahtab did an excellent job altering my wedding dress. She helped me navigate some undergarmet issues, made sure my dress fit perfectly, and created the perfect bustle. Her services may be a little bit more expensive but the work she does is well worth it. I know that I didn't want to take a chance with my dress! I came from Los Angeles to Laguna Nigel for several fittings and I'm so happy I decided to go a little out of my way. Mahtab is really sweet and my dress came out perfect.

I was torn between two alteration specialists.

I knew after all the reviews that I wanted to get an estimate from Mahtab. Originally I was going to have her:
1. Take in the bust
2. Add Bustle
3. Hem the bottom of the dress

When meeting with her for the first time she was VERY friendly and welcoming.
After trying on the dress Mahtab said to buy a "mermaid crinoline", and that I might not even need to have the hem altered. When I went in a second time ( 1st fitting) I only needed a bustle. She suggested that I not get the bust taken in since it was just perfect, she didn't want to create "spillage".

I had 2 fittings in all. The dress had a 9 point french bustle with ties. The ties held up ALL night, and my dress was rather heavy, and not once did the bustle come loose.

The price was very reasonable, and her work was great.

Mahtab is so sweet and easy to work with. My dress was a tad big still on the wedding day but she altered a dress from a size 8 to 0 for me so can't really complain. She listened to everything I wanted and gave me tips on how to do less alterations to save myself money. So sweet! Definitely wanting to make the bride beautiful and not in it just for the money.

Mahtab is amazing! She's a true expert at what she does. My dress needed little alterations, but we had the hem shortened, the hips taken in, and she even gave me two bustles! I got to have one bustle for the first part of the reception and then I switched to the second bustle just for fun :) She was so sweet and listened to exactly what I wanted. Every bride should go to Mahtab :)

Mahtab is very professional and personable. She gets straight to the point and you can tell she really knows what she's doing and she's dedicated to doing a really great job. I knew I could trust her with my wedding dress :)

Mahtab is wonderful. . . not only is she truly skilled in dress making but she is friendly, professional and easy to work with. She understands fabrics, patterns and how to shape a garment to flatter different body types. The most beautiful dress won't flatter if it doesn't fit well, for this reason I would highly recommend Mahtab as she will ensure your dress is as beautiful as it is meant to be. So the first alterations woman that I visited I found through a search on Google. When I arrived and her home I found that her shop was in her garage which was cold, dark and littered with pieces of fabric and dust all over the floor. I was SO turned off and came home extremely discouraged.

Then I turned to PW (which I should have done in the first place) and found Mahtab. After reading through all of her wonderful reviews my faith was renewed in wedding dress seamstresses. I e-mailed her immediately and heard back within 24 hours (kudos to her for a prompt response) with suggested appointment dates and times. When I a arrived at her home I was greeted by such a genuinely kind woman and I immediately knew I was in good hands.

She took me into her dressing/alterations room which was nicely decorated, bright, cozy and CLEAN (immacuately clean in fact). It was exactly what I had pictured that it should be like:)

She was fast, listened to what I wanted and offered helpful suggestions. The price tag was a little more than I was expecting, but well worth the cost of $250 for hemming, bustle and taking in the dress from a size 6 to a size 4. And she has a super fast turn around time, I pick up my dress on 2/8/10!

I got my dress at Ferndales in Orange and would probably have had them do the alterations if they weren't so rude. But I'm glad I went another route. I found Mahtab on project wedding and after reading all the wonderful reviews I was hooked. When I arrived at her home she was super nice and we got right to work!

I needed the dress to be taken in, bustled and hemmed. I brought her my dress about 2 1/2 months early to make sure there was enough time in case any last minute alterations were required. Everything went off without a hitch!

My dress was perfect! I couldn't be happier! She even made a suggesting to wear a brooch at the bottom of my corset and loved the idea! I found a great brooch too that went perfect with everything!

Mahtab did a wonderful job on my alterations, she was easy to work with, professional and affordable.I had my dress hem taken up, the neckline made into a sweetheart, the back lowered and overall taken in. I went from really liking my dress to LOVING my dress. Plus she hand cleaned the dress at no additional charge. I would highly recommend her to any bride.

Mahtab definitely lived up to her amazing reviews. She is by far the vendor I have felt most happy and comfortable with. From the moment I met her, I knew she was an honest and talented woman whose main goal was to make my dress look its best, NOT to try to make as much money as possible from me. I bought my dress used and wasn't sure how much work it needed. She was direct with me about the condition of the dress and reassured me that it only needed minimal alterations. I was debating having my dress altered to a sweetheart neckline, but she talked me out of the expensive alterations and reassured me that the dress was most beautiful the way it was designed. She was also extremely professional and willing to work around my schedule. She replied to emails very promptly and gave me phone calls to confirm my appointments. I live out of town and was only in Orange County for a few days around the holidays - not only did she fit me in last-minute, she did my alterations in 4 days, and let me pick my dress up on Christmas Eve!

Mahtab did some minor alterations to the hips of my dress, exposed and re-covered all of the boning in the bodice of my dress (there were painful wires poking out), and gave me both a French and overbustle - all for only $70!

She also makes lovely veils and has sashes, flowers, etc in her adorable home studio to try out with your dress.

Mahtab did a fabulous job on my dress. She hemmed, added bra cups, steam/pressed the dress, took the sides in a little bit, and did the bustle all for a reasonable price.

I didn't know what kind of bustle to get and asked for her recommendation. She recommended a French bustle for my dress (and I originally thought maybe an overbustle), pinned it for me to see and I fell in love with it! I love the French bustle and it is very secure - no additional safety pins needed that evening. The dress fit me perfectly. She got me to fall in love with my dress even more.

BEWARE!!!! Mahtab altered my wedding dress for 350. The waist needed to be changed from a gather to a pleated style with a piece of fabric over the seam. I bought the dress from Mon Amie and thought I would like to have someone from South Orange county work on the dress. She didn't finish the pleat on the back of the dress. The silk fabric was not attached to the dress! The layers under the dress were sticking out.
I had to have someone else finish the dress and they found the pleats were not even symmetrical. I don't mean by a little, it is way off. Every time I went to see her she reminded me that I am not a 20 year old Asian or a size 0. I had commented on some of the other dresses she was working on and said how beautiful they were and her response was 'well, she's very young and a size 0'. Very unprofessional. I am actually in my thirties, petite size 4, blonde. She did not offer to steam the dress nor did she add the French bustle. I am very disappointed with Mahtab and the service.

Mahtab was a total pleasure to work with! She was fast, efficient, and very budget friendly. I was very limited in terms of my budget for alterations and she was able to get all the work done for less than half of what another bridal salon had quoted me. I loved working with her and would definitely recommend her to any bride. She offered suggestions for what would look best on me with the gown and my body structure which I had been worried about. Definitely make the trip down - she is so worth it!

Mahtab made me cry. My dress came out perfect and she is just one of the nicest people you will ever meet. I bought my dress at Alfred Angelo and when they gave me the estimate for alterations, it was double what I paid for my dress and I walked out of there so angry and in tears thinking how can we afford to pay for this since me and FH are paying for the wedding ourselves. As soon as I met Mahtab - she was honest about the cost and quoted me less than half what I would have paid for at Alfred Angelo. Ladies - Mahtab is amazing, honest and worth the drive. I am so happy I found her.

I just picked up my dress from Mahtab and I'm so glad I used her. She was really nice to work with and she did an amazing job on my dress. She made it fit like it was made just for me. She was initially going to just hem it, add a bustle, and shorten the straps. After my second fitting, she saw that some of the fabric on the waist area was bunching up and was able to fix that by my final fitting. She didn't even charge me extra for this fix, even though it wasn't included in the original quote. I highly recommend her!

Mahtab was wonderful and personable. She made my dress fit like a glove. She is a very talented seamstress. She listened to what I wanted and did an amazing job. And charged me a lot less than what the bridal salon wanted to charge me. I HIGHLY recommend her to the southern california girls!

Mahtab was very good at what she did. She didn't have all that much to do. She seemed pleasant, but it wasn't like she was really inexpensive. I believe that just about anyone could have done what she did for us (she did my MOB dress too) but I was a bit uncomfortable trying someone just because they were less expensive. We asked her to alter the dress we used for my daughter's TTD session and she refused to do it. Whatever...I had someone alter the dress for $25.00 and to be honest...she did a great job!!!!

Mahtab did a fantastic job with my dress. Only the hem, straps, and bustle needed to be altered because the dress fit me like a glove but she made the hem look even better than it did from Pronovias. Provnovias had made a sort of rolled hem which wouldn’t lay flat but Mahtab fixed it all and also created a beautiful French bustle which was perfect with all the layers in my dress. For the straps, bustle, hem, and steaming she charged $330. She was in Laguna Niguel which was about a 45 minute drive for me but totally worth it.

Mahtab was great to work with. She knew exactly what to do and made several suggestions on what's the best way to bustle my dress since my dress was covered with lace. She did a great job changing the neckline to a sweetheart neckline which involved re-attaching all the cystal beading back on. Overall, she was amazing and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Mahtab is a very nice person to work with. She does a great job for less than bridal salons. My only complaint is that when I asked her about getting my dressed pressed (many wrinkles were noticeable), first she claimed she didn't see any wrinkles, and when I pointed them out, she recommended that I take it to a dry cleaner. I just saw on the website that pressing is a service she actually does provide.
Also, when I noticed a mistake in the bustle, she tried to cover it up with layers of the skirt, but I still found it. I pointed it out again; only then did she actually put in the 2 minutes to fix it.
However, I will say this: she did a fantastic job overall with the alterations, and she is very sweet to work with.

I didn't need much done to my dress due to my WONDERFUL bridal shop but I did have Mahtab put in cups and a bustle. She did everything incredibly fast and for a very reasonable price. I went in for my first fitting on a Thursday and she had my dress complete & ready by the following Tuesday. She's extremely skilled and definitely knows her stuff when it comes to bridal gowns. She also made sure to teach us how to properly tie up my corset and put up the bustle.

Mahtab is fabulous! I rarely wear strapless dresses and was hesitate to buy a gown like this, but Mahtab made it fit perfectly. She also hemmed it, so that, I would not trip on the inner crinoline layers. I was very worried about purchasing a bra that would work with the gown, but instead opted for her to sew in cups. Thanks to Mahtab's alterations, my dress was so comfortable. This is just what a bride needs on their very exciting, but stressful day. All the work was completed on the time schedule we arranged. She also has a very calming personality. :)

I don't know what I can say about Mahtab that hasn't already been said. She is an absolute doll to work with and she just "gets it". There was no debating over what did or didn't need to be done, she saw my dress exactly as I was seeing it, created the exact veil that I wanted and nothing could have been more perfect. My only words of advise are call her early! She books quick! I think I emailed her 6 months before my wedding because I wanted to make sure that she would be able to do my alterations. There is no one else I would suggest!

Mahtab was great. She is quick, and does high quality work on wedding dresses. She made my bustle, took in the bust and waist areas for me, and also added some custom beading I wanted onto my dress. It all turned out great, and she helped me create my dream dress. She used to be a wedding dress designer so she has tons of experience, but now does only alterations. She runs her business out of her home on strictly referral basis, and is very busy. Make sure you book early with her, especially if your wedding is anytime from April-September.

Yes, she is worth the drive down from LA...3 times. I LOVE Mahtab. She can take any dress and make it look like a million bucks! I'm not saying my dress was ugly, but it had long sleeves and was double my size. After 3 fittings, it was the most beautiful dress I could ever imagine. I'm still getting compliments on this $500 dress I found on Craigslist! THANK YOU MAHTAB!!! ...not to mention she is one of the sweetest people I've ever met.

Word of advise: BOOK EARLY, SHE'S IN HIGH DEMAND!

I feel really bad about writing a bad review about Mahtab, but my wedding alterations with her were a nightmare!!! I bought my dress from a Monique Lhullier sample sale and I had a pick up skirt with a few of the "gathers" that had come undone. I had asked her to please look at the skirt as you can see where the stitching was missing from sew marks and to use those as guides when fixing the gathers in the skirt. She did not do this at all! She had just sewn random gathers and it looked so strange to me at the fitting but she convinced me that it was the way the skirt was and that is how it was "suppose" to look and that was the best she could do and that it was a difficult dress to work with. She also told me that since my skirt was pure silk, it is naturally wrinkled and there was nothing she could do about it.

Confused I went home and took a better look at the dress. I then realized that she didn't even look at the sew marks on the skirt and her sewing was so sloppy and unattractive, the stitches looked like little white spiders on my skirt!!! In tears I called my MOH and she rushed over with a roll of thread and a needle and together we sewed 9 gathers to make it look normal! How could a professional seamstress miss so much on a dress? It should have been a simple alteration with "follow the dot" instructions but she obviously did not put much effort or attention to detail into it.

Driving 1.5 hours from Los Angeles all the way to her home in Orange County for a horrible job on alterations was a complete waste of time and money! Do not go to her! And if you do, make sure you take a really good look at the finished alterations before you pay her!!!

Pros: She was able to take my dress from a size 10 (sample sale) to a size 6. Her turn around time was fast and she was attentive to detail.

Cons: My bustle kept falling down during the night. The button she used wasn’t secure enough.

Final Thoughts: Overall I thought Mahtab was ok. I drove from Los Angeles to South Orange County to use her because she was recommended to me but probably could have found the same quality for a better value closer to home.

All the positive reviews about Mahtab are right on target. She did a beautiful job altering my dress and at a very reasonable price. Well worth the 1 1/2 drive (3 times). Made some great suggestions that I wouldn't have considered. Loved her bustle. Very sweet and easy to work with. Highly recommend!!!

Reasonable prices, though the peace of mind that Mahtab gives to brides like me is priceless. I had to drive 1.5-2 hours each time I went for a fitting, but it was well worth it. I would have driven further and paid more for Mahtab's expertise.

She didn't just agree to my requests, she answered my questions honestly and offered her opinion. In the end, she replaced my dress' zipper, took in the sides, hemmed A LOT from all 3 layers of my dress, reattached the lace edging to the bottom of the skirt, created straps out of the hemmed material layers, created a ridiculously awesome bustle (I hated all the other bustles I'd seen on my dress twins!), and even dragged my dress to the fabric store w/her so she could find the perfect edging for the sleeves. She also did so many other small tasks to make the dress beautiful and to help me fall in love w/it all over again.

By my second fitting, I never got dress envy again. Mahtab rocks. Believe the hype.

The sweetest, most talented, miracle worker ever! Mahtab is more than amazing. She charged me 1/2 as much as others quoted and went the extra mile to make my dress perfect, like a dream. I drove 2 hrs to get to her and it was MORE than worth the drive.

So fabulous to work with! She really understands the female body and the construction of complicated wedding gowns! I am so grateful for her talent!

It was hard to trust my dress to anyone. After reading such great reviews on PW, I made the 2+ hours drive to have Mahtab for my 1st fitting.

She is such a joy to work with. She really made me fall in love with my dress all over again after the 1st fitting. She had a solution to every concern I had with my dress. After my 2nd fitting, I addressed a concern over the phone and she knew exactly what I meant without having me try the dress on again. She is really good at what she does!

Mahtab was so great to work with - she is so nice and helpful!! My dress required a very difficult bustle and she did a fantastic job that end up through lots of dancing :) After I forgot my monogram during the first fitting she put it on while I waited during the second fitting so I wouldn't have to drive down again!! She made the experience fun and special and I am so happy I had her do my alterations!

And on top of that her prices are unbelievably reasonable!!

I LOVE MAHTAB! She was so sweet, understanding, helpful and a dream to work with. She fixed my dress which was altered terribly by another tailor from a bridal salon. She knew exactly what to do and had it done in a week. More than the excellent service and superb quality of her work, she is just a wonderful woman who loves what she does and takes care of your wedding dress instead of looking at you as a way of getting $$. She really helped me by calming my nerves and just being understanding-- who doesn't need that when you're already stressed out about your wedding??? HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

My dress arrived 3 weeks before my wedding and I needed alterations (or course!). I contacted my wedding planner and was referred to Mahtab. When I contacted Mahtab I found out that she was in the process of moving wasn’t taking anymore brides… BUT because of my referral, she squeezed me in!! (Talk about great customer service)

Once I had met with Mahtab I knew everything was going to be great. I didn’t have to worry at all during my alterations being correct or on time. My dress was done with time to spare and best of all it fit me perfectly!

Mahtab was AMAZING and absolutely one of my favorite vendors! She was definitely a bargain (compared to other quotes I received from bridal shops), and she was absolutely a doll to work with-- friendly, experienced, and reliable! She was also able to turn things around quickly for me at the last minute at no extra charge. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

Mahtab is magnificient. When I called her the first time, I had less than 2 months before the wedding. I thought that the dress needed to be resized but when I got there, she first told me to put on my undergarment. But after, she told me to try the dress on without an undergarment. When I did that, the dress fit me perfectly. I did not need to resize it after all and by not wearing the undergarment, it actually gave me more curve. The undergarment made me look like a box.

I only had her bustle my dress and steam it for me and put on a hook that was stronger than the factory. The bustle was magnificiently and it fit perfectly with the style of my dress. Mahtab just knew what kind of bustle would be nice for the dress. I didn't have to tell her what needed to be done.

She is great and her price is magnificient compared to others. I had no fear when I went to Mahtab that she would mess up my dress. From everybody else reviews, I was confident that she would do it right.

The drive is far from LA, but it's worth the gas.

My wedding was on Jan. 24, 2009 and everybody complemented me on the bustle. It was beautiful. Now I am looking at pictures from guests who took of my bustle and it looked beautiful.

Mahtab was an absolute dream to work with. Well worth the drive down to Lake Forest from Sherman Oaks - especially since her pricing is very reasonable.

She took in the sides a bit, hemmed the front and added a 9 point bustle.

My gown was gorgeous and fit like it was custom made for me!

There's already so many wonderful reviews for Mahtab it would seem unnecessary to post mine, but I wanted to make sure she fell on top of the list of wedding dress alterers because she really is the best. I took a huge leap of faith and bought my dress online. Before doing so I consulted with Mahtab over the phone and she gave me great advice on what to look for because I knew nothing I would buy would fit my 5ft height and petite frame. She told me to find a dress that was not lacy on the bottom and A-line to compliment my figure. She also was very sympathetic to my weight loss goals and was able to take in my dress a couple times. All my weight dropped in the last month prior to the wedding by luck. Everything turned out perfect! My wedding dress fit like a glove. I never felt more beautiful in LIFE!

Everyone has to know the famous Mahtab. She was a bit of a drive for me since she's located in south OC, but I thought she was totally worth it. She was very nice and gave her honest opinion about certain alterations of the dress. (She even was the one who persuaded me to wear the purple alligator shoes instead). She definitely knows what she's doing and you can tell by just the way she handles the bridal gowns that she is very experienced. The gown fit me like a glove and I picked it up the week before the wedding. I even begged her to alter my mom's gown and even though she was busy, she kindly agreed. And my mom's dress fit her perfectly as well. Now I know why she comes so highly recommended.

I purchased my dress from another bride on Ebay. Although it was very pretty and in perfect condition, I was kind of indifferent to it. When Mahtab was done altering it, I was in LOVE! So much so that I decided not to sell it after the wedding as I had planned.

She is very sweet, very talented, and has a great eye for making your gown fit you like it was made just for you. She rocks! I also loved that she was so accommodating to my time constraints of two fittings in 4 days since I was planning from out of state and only made one trip home before the wedding. She even fit me in the week of my wedding when I thought my weight had shifted and my dress wasn't going to fit properly. Turned out it was perfect afterall! After getting quoted over $400 for alterations I decided to take my dress to Mahtab. My dress was complicated to alter because of the delicate lace panels which needed to be removed & reassembled but she altered it beautifully & charged me half the price. She is highly skilled & very sweet. She also altered my nieces bridesmaid dress & did a great job on that dress as well. My dress fit like a glove.

This woman works miracles! After panicking when my corset-backed dress came in so tight I could hardly breathe, I went to Mahtab and she made one simple shift of the panel to fix it! Her prices are very reasonable and she is a very friendly person to work with.

Mahtab is amazing! She was professional, affordable, and her work is fabulous. I had to order my dress several sizes too big on top to make sure it fit correctly on the bottom and was very nervous about the alterations. I had three fittings with Mahtab and the dress turned out perfectly. She was very accommodating to my busy schedule and met every deadline that she promised. She was kind and funny and made me feel very comfortable throughout the process.

She also did alterations for my MOH and did a great job. My MOH's dress came in only a few weeks before the wedding but that was no problem for Mahtab. She did everything in only 2 fittings and my MOH looked amazing.

Mahtab is a great woman to work with. She did a great job on my alterations and really transformed my dress to the dress of my dreams. She works out of her home in OC but she was definitely worth the drive for me from the San Gabriel valley.

After receiving a quote of $500 + a rush charge for alterations from my dress store, I found out about Mahtab and placed a call... she accommodated me quickly and easily, and did a fantastic job - for a FRACTION of the price I was quoted from the dress shop.

Not only did she save me money and a BIG headache, she only needed to do 1/2 of what the dress shop said would be needed to make my dress absolutely perfect.

I will return to Mahtab to alter a bridesmaid dress I'm wearing for a wedding in August, and highly recommend her services.

There's nothing else I can add to previous bride's reviews that would showcase how extremely talented Mahtab is at altering wedding dresses. She is amazing in the work that she does, and is incredibly sweet and kind on top of it.

I took my dress to Mahtab thinking that it was too small and needed to be let out in the bust. She took a look at the dress and assured me that there'd be enough material to let the dress out; however, as it turned out, we were able to zip it up all the way, and she simply had to (1) alter the hem, (2) sew in bra cups, and (3) put in a bustle. The dress was completed in about two weeks and it looked amazing.

At such reasonable alterations prices, I highly recommend brides taking the drive down to Lake Forest for Mahtab to work magic on your beautiful too large, too small, too long, or too short wedding dresses.

I really can't say anything but EXCEPTIONAL! I loved Mahtab. So much so that I brought my BM's all the way up from San Diego and one in from Phoenix, AZ just to be fitted by her perfectly. Her prices are super-savy and her work is meticulous!

Mahtab also did my FG sashes with the excess cutting from the BM's gowns so they turned out perfectly.
She is always ready, super-sweet, and gives it to you straight on what will look best on you. She ended up placing straps on my gown which I loved.

I do highly recommend that you ensure your dress is a bit higher than what is recommended as mine was right at the ground but I found myself tripping on it and having to hold it up down the aisle and hold my bouquet because the tulle under that is fluffed, flatens out as you walk around. Just food for though.

I didn’t use Mathab for the usual wedding alteration needs. My jr. bridesmaid’s dress was very plain when we first got it. We got the dress for only $70 at David’s Bridal; however, I wanted her to feel just as beautiful as the rest of the girls on my wedding day. Mathab did a fantastic job of adding the sash (the same material as the bridesmaids dresses) and made tiny other alterations. She’s a little bit on the pricy side ($83 for minor alterations and sash), but I wanted to make sure that I went to someone that other people trusted.

She is very good. I highly recommend her.

Mahtab put a simple bustle in my dress and steamed it. She is so sweet and does a great job. I came back to her a week after I dropped the dress off because I was freaking out that it wasn't going to fit me on the top and she had me try it on again, this time without the padded bra I had and it was wonderful. She reassured all my silly bridal fears. She even steamed my Mom's dress for free on the spot when I came to pick mine up a week before the wedding. I can't recommend her enough!

My dress just happened to fit me perfectly length and all, which was a shock for an incredibly short woman like myself. It did come with a very long train. Because I was having an outdoor ceremony, I had planned on wearing my dress bustled. Mahtab created a double french bustle for me in a week! It transformed my dress in a way that made me really fall in love with it. There is a reason why she is a bride favorite. Although it was quite a haul for me to get to O.C., it was well worth the trip. She is very professional and adept.

Special note: If Mahtab makes a complicated bustle for you, be sure to practice tying it with your bridal entourage. It took 3 of us 15 minutes to figure out how my bustle was supposed to go. I even had to take my dress off in order to see where all the ties were!

I cannot believe I am so late in reviewing Mahtab. She is fabulous! She worked very quickly and was extremely reasonable. I highly recommend her.

A friend who just got married referred me to Mahtab for my alterations, and I'm so glad she did! The process was so much easier and done in less than 1 week. Plus, she was nice, friendly and even nourturing. This was a completely different experience than going to Alfred Angelo's alterations department.

mahtab comes highly recommended on the boards for good reason. she has been working with designer wedding gowns for years, and it shows in her workmanship and eye for detail + fit. she altered and repaired my dress so that it fit like a glove, had it ready to go for each fitting, was so warm and pleasant to work with throughout the process, and did it all for a fair price.

while traipsing about in some rough terrain to get a few pre-ceremony wedding party shots, my bridesmaids and i realized that one of my underlayers was snagging on the brush and dry leaves. it turns out the innermost layer in the back of the dress, which provided a shield from the itchy, built-in layers of tulle, had been cut to the correct length but the hem not finished. i had not noticed this upon inspection when picking up my dress. we made do by detangling the junk from the shredded bottom and trimming the threads so as to prevent further unraveling. it was fine for the rest of the night. i contacted mahtab about this one problem as soon as we returned from our honeymoon, and she agreed to repair it as soon as was convenient for me. i saw her a few days later, and she suggested fixing it while i waited. a few minutes later, it was as good as new, at no extra charge. she was as pleasant, prompt, and professional as she was when first quoting my gown throughout this repair process.

Mahtab did a great job on my dress and bustle, she is so sweet and very reasonably priced. She made the bustle so easy to take care of and it was great!! My BM had a very easy time geting the bustle take care of. Even though she was quite a distance from me, she was well worth the drive to go to fittings and just a great person altogether. She also hemmed one BM dress.

Mahtab is the sweetest person! I met with her and she gave me a lot of input as to what she thought should be done with my dress. She took in my dress, added chest padding, and a bustle.

She also altered my mom's dress and a few of my bridedsmaids dresses. The dresses were done within two weeks and she even stored my wedding dress up until the week of the wedding and steamed it for me. Loved the final results!
