The consultants at Wedding Belles are very experienced, sweet, and very willing to work with brides for a long time before they make their choices. The prices are unbelievable, as it mainly a sample shop. I purchased my dress for under $1,000, and the retail value would have been several thousand. My veil fit perfectly with my dress as well. I was very happy with Wedding Belles.

I went to Wedding Belles to get my dress after visiting a couple other wedding shops. They give you lots of personal attention, and will keep working with you until you find the perfect dress. The prices are outstanding for the dresses that you get to choose from. I will be recommending many family members and friends to go to Wedding Belles in the future. They do a great job.

The ladies here are super nice, and they have a great selection of dresses at reduced prices. Highly recommended - I love my gown!

The bridal consultants at Wedding Belles were so caring and helpful! The shop is in a cute little house in Barrington. They provided cookies and water. The women there helped find all the dresses and helped me try them on. I found my wedding dress there and even had a hard time choosing between a few. I definitely recommend Wedding Bells!

This is a WONDERFUL place! Truly a breath of fresh air. It is owned by two LOVELY ladies who truly love weddings and truly love brides. There is NO hard sell. NONE. My consultant, Marcia, was one of the owners, and she treated me as if I were her own daughter. Her main goal was to make me look and feel beautiful!

Dresses are sold off the rack and are very affordable. I don't think I saw a dress over $1200 in the whole store! Sadly, I actually found my dress somewhere else the next day, but I loved this place so much, that I REALLY wanted to purchase here and therefore, had to write a review. If you live in the western suburbs, this should be your first stop when dress shopping.

If you are looking for a personal wedding dress shopping experience then Wedding Belles is the place to go. From the moment you walk in you get personal attention. Their shop, in an antique home, is lovely and provides large, private rooms to try on the dresses. The service is exceptional with a staff that you can tell truly loves their jobs. I could not have asked for a better wedding dress shopping memory.

I found the most beautiful dress on the planet at an affordable price, and I had many options to choose from. The environment of Wedding Belles is excellent and the attention given was great. I couldn't have had a better experience. My sister used them as well, and so did her sister in law. I will forever recommend Wedding Belles!

I bought my fit and flare Lazaro at Wedding Belles I could not believe I was getting a silk organza beaded dress that was normally 6,000 for 2,000!! They have all different kinds of dresses and for different prices. What I like about Wedding belles was that my consultant let me go back in the room with her to pull dresses. She was great and the second dress I put on was the one!! They also put my hair up and put jewelry on to get the full effect! I Love Wedding Belles I would say if you are looking for a brand name or a certain style you won't be disappointed!!

I never imagined finding a wedding dress so easily. Wedding Belles was the first and last place I went looking for a dress and I found one that was "me." They were so helpful and friendly and what a cute store! They really did a great job listening to what I wanted and working within my budget. I was extremely satisfied! Plus they referred me to an absolute wonderful seamstress.

I had the best experience finding my dress at Wedding Belles. I went there after going to two other dress shops in the area. Wedding Belles was my last stop and I was hesitant of going since I was tired and thought that I had already found my dress at the last shop, but thank goodness I decided to stick it out. I went with an entourage on 10 people...it's a small shop, but they made sure we all fit. When you walk in you feel like you are in the house of your grandmother...it's warm and cozy and you feel cared for. The consultant that was helping us felt that she had the perfect dress for me as soon as she saw me, but throughout the appt. was having trouble finding it. I continued to try on several dresses (they had an awesome selection that they let me and my maid of honor sift through), and just as I thought I was finished, the bridal consultant came in with the dress she had been looking for. At first glance, I thought it was pretty, but not what I thought I wanted. However, once I put it on everyone (all 10 of my friends and family) got tears in their eyes and my mom accidentally shouted "It's the one!" What I loved the most about Wedding Belle's is they take you downstairs in front of the mirror and do your hair (mine was in this amazing up-do that took all of 5 minutes) and get a veil and jewelry to put on you. One look in the mirror and I bought it all, because it was perfect! I bought the dress that was a little big, since it was a sample size and they recommended some amazing seamstresses to me. The price was also unbeatable! By the day of the wedding, I was still so happy with my choice of dress, veil, and jewelry. I had my dream wedding in my dream dress!

Wedding Belles was my absolute dream come true! I had my ideal wedding dress in mind, but was not finding it anywhere. After trying on tons of dresses and explaining to them what I was looking for, they told me that I could basically create the dress I wanted, just by adding to an existing dress. One of their employees was the one that actually picked out the dress and we fell in love the minute I put it on. They directed me to the word's best seamstress, Marinella. My dress was absolutely perfect and the entire staff was so very helpful and friendly. They even gave me a mock up-do, jewelry, and a veil to try on with the dress. One of the best experiences in our entire planning!

I found my dream dress at Wedding Belles. The women who own Wedding Belles are wonderful people and very helpful. The dresses there are mostly sample dresses that you pay for and take home that day. They have a wide selection of dresses for all tastes. I was looking for a ball gown style dress at other stores and it would have cost me over $5000 for my dream dress. I went to Wedding Belles and found it for $2000. The dress was in beautiful condition and I received so many compliments. I recommend Wedding Belles to all of my friends. Both my sisters also found their dream dresses there for a great price (one trumpet style and and a-line dress). Do not be discouraged if you do not find your dress the first time you visit. They are continuously receiving more dresses. The hard part is deciding on the spot. You need to be ready to purchase the dress or it could be gone. They do not hold dresses. Overall a wonderful experience and an excellent place to get your wedding dress :)

I had a fantastic experience at Wedding Belles, and I was not the typical bride-to-be. I was an out-of-town bride, and I also was 6 weeks pregnant when I went looking for my dress. As such, I admit I was a little down (ok, call it hormonal, that's fine, too!) that my bridal experience wasn't "normal." In a Kleinfeld's-style made-for-tv moment, Marsha and her staff pretty much stopped my appointment to pull me together and convince me that I could find my dream dress and didn't have to settle for "whatever I could afford or fit into." That they took the time to cater to ME made a lasting impression.Even though they are a resale/sample shop, they have a large selection (I am size 4/6 at the time, though, so I don't have issues fitting into the sample size; I cannot speak for the selection otherwise). I was looking for a lace dress and there were several to choose from. They also brought me several non-lace dresses that fit the style I had described, so I really had a wide range of options from which to choose.And, as the other reviewers have mentioned, it is fun to be able to pick out dresses from the racks yourself (though you need some serious arm strength to go through all the dresses!). I went on a weekday, which I recommend for anyone wanting some extra attention or peace and quiet.The dress I ended up with was actually not a sample but, rather, a dress which had been purchased by a bride whose wedding was later cancelled. So I had a dress that had never before been tried on-- it didn't have any of the typical imperfections of a sample dress. And it was still a bargain at 1/6 of its original cost. It was a lovely Demetrios Ultra Sophisticate that honestly I could not have afforded at its retail value. For that fact alone, Wedding Belles is a MUST VISIT on your search for a dress. I should also note that one of my close friends and bridesmaids also bought her wedding dress at Wedding Belles; her experience was as positive as mine, so I can say along with the majority of reviewers here that it is no anomaly.Lastly, the list of alterations services provided by Wedding Belles is great. I used Debbie in Hawthorne Woods and she was phenomenal. My dress fit like a glove and I got rave reviews. And remember, I was living out of town, so Debbie worked with me mostly in the week leading up to the wedding-- not bad for turnaround time.

I have 3 sisters, and so far all 3 married or engaged have gotten their dresses at Wedding Belles. They are that good. I ended up in a dress that I would never have picked off the rack - but that looked stunning on. They are so patient, and have a knack for finding just the right dress! They have a combination of samples and special order dresses - mine was a special order. The quality of the fabric was amazing. One word of caution - when I got measured they ordered a dress for me that was way way too big - maybe just in case but the alterations were a mess! so definitely work with them to understand the measurements.

Wedding Belles has great customer service. This is a sample shop so you take the gown with you when you purchase it. Since its a sample shop the prices are more reasonable as well. The one thing I would recommend is that you shop around first to determine what you really want. I shopped around and I realized that my budget did not fit my taste so when I went to wedding Belles I already knew what i wanted and had an idea of pricing. I got many compliments on my dress and I couldn't have been any happier with my dress. Furthermore, they let you go into the gown room to pick out dresses which was super fun, once you have found the dress they take you downstairs to the big mirror and they make you up with jewelry and veil so that you can see what you would like. I highly recommend this bridal shop!!

I tried so many other places to find my dress- I should have just went to Wedding Belles first! They are a sample shop so you take your dress with you that day. Because they are a sample shop, the prices are cheaper than what you would find at other stores. I was finding that I had very expensive taste so at Wedding Belles, I was able to get a $1600 dress for $900. I loved my dress!! One great thing they do is put you in your dress, take you down to their giant mirror, do your hair, put a veil and jewelry on you- you feel like a princess! Everyone was very nice- a great experience!

I was really happy with my experience at Wedding Belle's! Patty was great and the seamstress did an amazing job on a dress that could have been a little tricky! I felt like I got a lot of personal attention and I went into the whole "wedding dress shopping" thing very very intimidated, they made it easy, they just brought me things to try on, and the 4th dress was the perfect one! They were even patient when I brought girlfriends in to get their opinion. Perfect experience, couldn't be happier!

Patty the owner was great. She offered discounts where she could and really knew her stuff when it came to the gowns. She picked my gown out for me the first day I was there and when it came in I was absolutely in love. We also did the bridesmaid dresses and shoes there as well. She was very honest about the style of dresses and body type, which I really liked because I'd rather someone tell me if something doesn't look good than lie to me just because I'm the bride. The seamstress at the shop was not nice at all. Some of my bridesmaids complained to me that she was rude to them. Then when I went to pick my dress up she started fighting with my sister.

Very helpful staff. The dresses were beautiful to choose from and we found the perfect fit! Appointments were necessary and we had a lot of help deciding. A lot of other stuff to choose from as well, perfect shoes, jewelry, veils and hair pieces. I would highly recommend stopping by this quaint little shop.

This unique bridal salon sits in a victorian home and makes you feel like a princess. It caters to brides only. I bought my dress at a charity event, but it came from this salon. I had asked if I could bring my dress in to pick out a veil from them, and they were cheerfully accommodating. We had personalized attention for almost 2 hours and it was wonderful. I ordered my veil from them as well and couldn't have been more pleased. I've had so many compliments on both the dress and the veil. Definitely go here before you try the larger chain stores.

FANTASTIC experience with Wedding Belles in Barrington. The 'Belles' were incredibly helpful in finding my perfect dress in my price range. It is a sample store, so I believe they focus on sizes <10, but if you're in that range I'd absolutely recommend it. I ended up getting a Jim Hjelm gown that would have cost ~$3,000 custom, but I only paid $800 for my sample gown. They also helped me to find the perfect veil and accessories :)

I had a fantastic experience with Wedding Belles. I would definitely recommend shopping at a larger store first so you can narrow down what you're looking for in a dress. Once you get to Wedding Belles, which is a sample shop, it's kind of "luck of the draw", but they have a LARGE selection for a small shop. You can always visit multiple times to try to find your dress. I thought I had found "the one" my first visit... but wasn't *quite* convinced. I went a few other places, but kept thinking about that dress. When it was still there on my second visit, I snatched it up! The service is extremely personal. The staff is fantastic--helpful and friendly. I also purchased my headpiece there! They also carry shoes, veils and jewelry!

This was an absolutely amazing place to purchase a wedding dress. It took a while to get an appointment, but it was well worth it because of the personal attention I received when I was there. They really make you feel like you are the most important person in the store. There is nothing better than the feeling of coming down the staircase in "The Dress" once you find it to look at yourself in the mirror. My mom and I both cried! It was an absolutely wonderful experience, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great dress shopping experience!

I bought my dress at Wedding Belles and it was one of the highlights of my wedding planning. The women at Wedding Belles truly make you feel special and provide unparalleled service and attention. The house, itself, is beautiful and you are given your own room to try on gowns. There is no pressure to buy...although you do have to make a decision before leaving. I found a beautiful dress and was very happy with the price. It was a wonderful experience!

Picking out my dress was such a nice experience. They are operating out of a converted old-fashioned home, it had such a family feel. Everyone who helped me was so kind and doting. & I absolutely loved the dress! I was looking for something unique. Since they didn't carry as many sizes in each dress and they had a great selection. I liked that they only had one of each dress available, it made it feel more special.

Wedding Belles is such a great place to purchase your dress. I got an absolutely beautiful dress for half the price I would pay at another shop. The people were extremely helpful and very sweet. If you are not into making a quick decision, this is not the place to go since they don't hold the dresses, but they have a wide selection and great prices. It's a unique and wonderful experience!

I just got married a week and a half ago, but bought my dress from Wedding Belles over a year ago. I still look back on my experience there fondly. We actually thought our appointment was one day when it was actually the next, but we lived over an hour from the store. So, they took us in anyway! A lot of dress shops would not be so gracious. The wonderful sales woman that helped me was so sweet. It is a sample shop, so there are many different dresses. SHe must have heaved over 20 dresses over my head, and never complained a bit. She had great advice, and wonderful suggestion. I was very impressed with this store. The prices are VERY reasonable, and they have beautiful jewelry as well. I would certainly reccomend Wedding Belles to any bride looking for her dream dress.

This place is wonderful!!! It was such a fantastic experience!!! I can't say that I was very bridal, but this vendor truly made me feel like a bride. I was going to get this dress at the Macy's bridal salon and it was actually going to be cheaper if I opened up a Macy's account, but the employees at Macy's were horrible and ruthless. When I saw that Wedding Belles had the dress I was willing to make the drive to Barrington and foot the bill without opening up a credit card! The staff was great and would recommend this place to any bride!

Amazing place to find a wedding dress! I had just come from another location in Barrington and was feeling really depressed. They had not been friendly whatsoever to me and I hadn't found anything I even remotely liked. My experience at Wedding Belles was the complete opposite. The boutique is actually an old house and is beautifully done on the inside. The dressing rooms are rooms of the house. Very cute. Now, all of the dresses here are samples so you can't customize. I was only able to try on ivory dresses, which I was ok with, but some may want a brighter white. However, they have gorgeous designer dresses for amazing prices. My dress retailed for over $2000 and I got it for half of that! I was thrilled with my experience at Wedding Belles AND I was able to walk out with my dress that day!

I got my wedding dress at Wedding Belles Ltd., and it was a wonderful experience. I had an idea of what I wanted but I got to try on a variety of dresses and ended up choosing one that was different than what I originally had in mind. When we first got there (my mom and sisters came with), I enjoyed that myself, my mom, my sisters, and our consultant all picked out a few dresses that they wanted me to try on. It was a fun experience for all of us. Then, once you've narrowed it down to a dress or two, they have you come model it in the beautiful downstairs of the Victorian house, and fix your hair and veil so that you can really see yourself as a bride. It was a great place to get an affordable, beautiful and unique wedding dress, and I'd recommend it to anyone!

I purchased my dress multiple months ago from Wedding Belles. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. To sum up: found the dress of my dreams there. Paid under $800 for a dress that my alterationist valued at $7500. When the big day came every single person commented on how stunning the dress was. I could not have been more happy, and the same goes for my new husband! Thank you!

Wedding Belles is a great! I grew up in Barrington and had never been before I got engaged. This was the first place I went to look for dresses and I found the one after just 5 or 6 dresses! Be sure to make an appointment and check their hours.

They were extremely helpful and patient (I was having trouble deciding between two dresses) with me, and I found a beautiful dress for a reasonable price! If I have any complaints it is that when they called to tell me my veil was available for pick up I e-mailed to let them know when I was going to come down to pick it up because I couldn't find their phone number and they never responded to my e-mail (they were there when I went to pick up the veil though.) Overall, I had a great experience at Wedding Belles and their building is really cute!

I LOVED WEDDING BELLES! The owners are the most wonderful people, and their workers are fabulous too! Shopping here for my wedding dress was the most relaxing experience. I had a large group of people with me and they had no problem accommodating. I tried on a million dresses and after selecting a few of my favorites and they went down stairs and was dressed head to toe to get the whole picture; veil, jewelery, etc. I found my dress, and was excited, but sad that the process was over, because it was so wonderful!

I went to Wedding Belles on two different occasions to try on dresses and ended up finding the perfect dress at this store. They definitely pamper you all through the process but also try to be honest about helping you decide what looks great on you! On both days, the women helping me were very sweet and helpful! My only complaint would be that at one point, one of the owners came in and was scolding the saleswoman for taking too long and was kind of pushy with me. Otherwise, the experience was awesome, and my dress was both amazing and affordable!!

I just bought my wedding dress here. I had been referred here by a friend and was dying to go to the store for the experience. They were booked up for the first few weekends i started shopping, so i had already been to several bridal salons, and tried on several great dresses. I was having the HARDEST time trying to choose "the" dress! I liked several, and most were not at all what i originally thought i wanted. i was trying to be open minded, but was ending up feeling more confused and indecisive. I would love something on in person, but hate it on camera. I actually had an appointment at another salon right before my appointment at Wedding Belles and almost bought a dress there. I almost cancelled my Wedding Belles appointment, but i was so excited about going to this place for the experience, I kept the appointment. I made the right decision because i walked out of Wedding Belles with a dress that gave me that feeling all my girly girl friends told me i was supposed to get, but which i never believed i would--tears and all! The dress i bought was much more in line with what i originally thought i wanted before i started shopping. AND the dress PLUS veil and tax cost less than what the other dress i almost bought would've cost alone before tax. It needs virtually no alterations, and looked great on and in pictues. But the experience was amazing and different then the other 5 salons i went to. If you really like a dress you try on in an upstairs bedroom, you get to go downstairs and they give you all kinds of veils and accessories to try on, AND they will do your hair so you get a better idea of the whole picture. They do the perfect amount of gushing (which i needed as i am not the most confident person)-- not too much to sound like a used car salesman telling you everything you try on looks amazing, but enough to make you feel beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique dress of their dreams, and wanting a great shopping experience. Marcia, who i think is the owner, was wonderful! The only problem is that you pretty much have to make a decision on the spot. They will not hold any dresses for you and since it is a sample shop, the dress you like might not be there next time. But i am thrilled i don't have to worry about whether my dress will be there in time because it is already hanging in my closet!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! So comfortable and warm- especially the staff. It was an amazing experience for me, as well as for 3 other brides that I have sent and taken there. The dress selection in my budget range was incredible. My dress looked 10 times more expensive than what I payed!!! The assistants are all there for you- and only you, during your appointment. You get a room all to yourself and whomever you bring to the salon. The only drawback was that it took me a long time to get an appointment and that they do not put dresses on hold. However, every bride I know that shopped elsewhere first (i sure did), found their perfect gown at Wedding Belles.

I highly recommend getting your dress from Wedding Belles in Barrington. Although I would advice a newly engaged bride-to-be to try other places first. The only trick is that you are actually purchasing your dress. So you have to go into the process confident that you know what you want and ready to pull the trigger. I got a gorgeous Casablanca dress for only $650 and it fit like a glove. They treat you like a princess and it's wonderful to have all of these "moms" doting all over you while you are shopping. It is a wonderful store and feels like someone's home. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good deal and a dress that is unique and not just one of a million. I loved my dress! This cute boutique came strongly recommended by several friends who had gotten married in the area. The women working were very helpful and I found my dress the first day of shopping. Although this store primarily sells sample and consignment dresses, my dress was one of the few that could be ordered. I was measured and my dress was ordered. My “first dress” arrived damaged and was sent back to the manufacturer without notifying me (after I bought a plane ticket to fly from CA for a fitting). The “second dress” was not ordered to my length. Finally, when I was able to come for a fitting, a “third dress” had also appeared. The third dress that was supposedly measured to my length was several inches too short. Fortunately, Wedding Belle’s had kept the second dress which required significant alterations. Wedding Belle’s paid my alteration costs and reimbursed me for the price of my ticket change. I would recommend sticking to their in-stock items and not doing a special order although I felt Marcia (the owner) went out of their way to correct their errors.

Wedding Belles was really great to work with. I was lucky to find my dress at another wedding store earlier in the morning, and happened to find the same one at Wedding Belles for cheaper. I had no idea what I wanted my wedding dress to look like, and Wedding Belles can definitely be overwhelming. All the dresses are in the clear garment bags, but it's so hard to really see what they would look like. I think one of the benefits of going to a couple of other wedding shops prior is that you'll have a better idea what you do like and what you don't.

Admittedly, I am a pretty decisive person so I only went to two bridal shops before purchasing my wedding dress. Wedding Belles was the second and I when I tried my dress on just loved how I felt in it. The staff there was nice and professional. Everyone was patient when I was going between two dresses, trying them each on a few times, and giving me time to discuss with my mom. They weren't insistent that I rush order the dress which cost me an extra $250 on top of a dress that was pretty expensive. Note: I was shopping in February for an August wedding. They do have a great selection of designer sample gowns as well as new dresses you can order. The shop itself is an old home, charming, cute and clean. Some other sample places are dirty and cheap looking. I know this ultimately doesn't matter but it made me feel more comfortable while shopping for arguably the most photographed dress I will ever own. I would definitely recommend bridal shop.

My future MIL suggested Wedding Belles as a place to look for my dress as her other daughter-in-law also got her dress from there. When I made the appointment, the lady asked my street size and then cautioned that there may not be much for me to try on in that size. I'm a 10/12 street. The comment really didn't leave a good first impression.Luckily when I got there for the appointment, my consultant Lisa was amazing. I found a lot of dresses to try on. I had only gone to try on dresses once before and really had no vision of what I wanted. I had a $1000 upper limit, and there was plenty under that. We all pulled a bunch of things, they just let you look for yourself and pull dresses, and Lisa was very adept and getting me in and out of dresses, and quickly helping me decide what I liked and didn't like about a dress. When I had narrowed it down to the top three, I got to try each one on and go downstairs where they dolled me all up in a veil and jewelry.I was really torn between two dresses, and there was really no pressure to buy. Lisa was very helpful in stearing me toward the dress I eventually bought, which was the less expensive of the two finalists, because it was a better quality sample. I think the dress I finally did buy was the first one I had tried one, coincidentally. :)You do have to use an outside seamstress to do alterations, but they provide a list. I used Marinella in Schaumburg and she was fantastic!
