Does not even deserve one star!!! Horrible experience at Ross Ave Wedding Chapel, this place should not even be in business!
The service at this location was far from acceptable. Many of the things that were promised were not followed through with. The staff was clueless, unorganized and unprofessional, completely amateur. The owner, Michael never ONCE came down to the reception to handle the chaos. The AC went out, the tables and chairs were not set up correctly, leaving no dance room OR places for the wedding party and family to sit. The wait staff did not even know how to pour beer or wine. The chicken was raw, I could go on and on. At the end of the night, when you approached the owner, he began to assault us to the point we ran out of the property fearing for our safety. This place should be shut down and the owner, Michael should never be allowed to do business in this city! It was appalling to say the least!

I feel so sorry for the entire wedding party who put so much time, effort, and money into an event that was completely ruined by this facility. Just an awful experience, I wouldn’t wish this upon anybody. Where to begin...they were told the exact number of RSVP's and only provided seating for 70% (citing it was the industry standard), there was not enough seating for the bridal party and literally no seating for the family when they entered the reception hall after taking pictures. The a/c was out (wonderful for August in Texas...not for one minute was it comfortable). The food that was served, was served close to an hour late and included at least one hotel pan of undercooked chicken (probably 50 servings) that were reddish pink in the middle with opaque red juice coming out of the middle, dangerously undercooked and the guests were left to warn each other because the staff did not remove it. When we dropped off the kegs they said they would ice them down and have them ready after we offered to do so...however, they left them out in the heat, and all that we had at the reception were cups of warm foam. There was one bowl of punch and one pitcher of water for 140+ guests. There was one bathroom...in an entirely different building. The coordinator/owner was supposed to arrange for a carriage ride for the couple from the chapel to their hotel, and he just plain completely failed to do so. And to top things off, the wait staff was caught stealing what beer they could get from the kegs in pitchers, jugs and big gulp cups as the reception was winding down. The worst part about the whole thing was that the coordinator/owner, Michael, was no where to be found during the entire event. The staff had no idea what to do about any of the issues…and to say that they, and he, were incompetent would be an understatement. We were able to track him down, sequestered in an upstairs back room after the reception to run down the list of what we had observed. He, a grown man, began screaming at two of the 20-something female bridesmaids and ran down the stairs in a rage threatening us and telling us to get out of his 'house.' We calmly moved everything and everyone that was left to their cars and got off of the property as quickly as we could. It was not fast enough though, as a few minutes later he ran back out into the parking lot in a rage, at which point we quickly began usher the remaining women to their cars and drove away. I am thankful that we were able to shield the bride from at least some of this, but am left in disbelief that this man is able to practice business. It doesn't seem fair that I could leave an anonymous post about someone and not have to answer for it since his name and place of business is published, and mine is not; so, if you have any questions with regard to this post, please feel free to contact me at wed080709resp@yahoo.com.

Ross Avenue Wedding Chapel was the wedding ceremony site. It was an historic place that was beautiful on the outside and also inside. They had a wide selection of packages but we decided to have just the wedding there and not the reception. The prices were reasonable. The building was very organized and the staff was courteous and polite to me and our entire guest. It was a nice place to have the wedding ceremony.
