Our wedding dance was the highlight of the evening! Elizabeth's coaching was so priceless. My non-dancing husband had so much fun with our dance, and despite his lack of experience he nailed it thanks to her coaching and the dance turned out to be a hit! Our dance was our favorite part of the wedding.

My husband and I took two private lessons with Dennis (one of Elizabeth's instructors) before our wedding. We knew absolutely nothing about dancing - we didn't even have a song picked out! - but really wanted to feel comfortable during our first dance. Dennis did a wonderful job of providing us with a simple yet beautiful routine. We felt completely confident on our wedding day and nailed the dance perfectly, thanks to Dennis! Not that he'd ever admit it, but I think my husband even enjoyed the lessons!

Working with Dennis was easy and fun. He is a very talented dancer and choreographer but also listens to what you are interested in doing, the vibe you would like, and will incorpoates moves you suggest. It was amazing that he created a dance we could learn in only 4 one-hour lessons - the video recordings really helped us when we practiced at home. We were so thrilled with how our dance turned, we never thought we would get so many compliments on it! It was definitley one of the highlights of our wedding and we couldn't be more thankful.

My husband and I took dance lessons from Elizabeth for our first wedding dance. When we walked into Elizabeth’s studio for the first time, I knew we had scored ourselves a wonderful dance coach. She is truly OUTSTANDING! Even before our first lesson, Elizabeth was extremely helpful and took extra time to helped us pick out our song. When my daughter first approached me about dance lessons for the father/daughter dance at her wedding, I was hesitant and nervous. Twice I have taken dance lessons before without much fun or the desired outcome of being able to dance with confidence.

My dad and I took lessons with Elizabeth before my wedding for our father-daughter dance. My fiance and I took 5 dance lessons with Elizabeth before our wedding. We were hoping to just not look like idiots for our first dance. We knew next to nothing about dancing before walking into her studio, but Elizabeth made us feel like professionals by our wedding day. We live in Colorado and my daughter lives and was married in Vermont. Because of this, the father/daughter dance was rehearsed separately, long distance. Add to this the fact that my husband and I had no dancing experience and were nervous about the whole thing. We were so lucky to find Elizabeth Marberry. In five lessons, she designed a dance for father/daughter which we practiced here, then videoed and uploaded to Utube at Elizabeth's suggestion. This worked wonderful. She also taught myself and my husband a variety of dances for the wedding reception. You would have been amazed at our progress. Elizabeth is so kind and encouraging and very knowledgeable. We have some wonderful memories thanks to her help. I would highly recommend her for any type of dancing instruction.

When my (now) husband and I started planning our wedding day there was one part of the day that we were especially excited for, our first dance as husband and wife. In our minds we thought it would be a peaceful way to connect during an otherwise very busy day. We spent months trying to pick our song and when we finally found it, it was perfect. It conveyed exactly what we wanted it to and it touched us both very deeply, the same however could not be said for our dancing. We tried dancing to our song the first couple times and we ended up looking like two awkward middle school kids. We knew we needed help! I actually just stumbled upon Elizabeth but I’m so incredibly happy I did. I booked three sessions without even meeting her, which I know might sound strange but she was located close to our house and the price was right. Upon meeting her, I knew we made the right choice! She was so welcoming and kind and fun, she instantly put us at ease. She spent quite a bit of time talking to us about what we had envisioned for our first dance. We knew we wanted something elegant and classy but also romantic. For us the most important thing was that it did not look too choreographed and that we could really lose ourselves in the moment. That’s exactly what we got with Elizabeth. She choreographed something so beautiful and romantic that left an impression on all our guests but was easy enough for us that we just completely enjoyed the moment and didn’t worry about what our next steps were. It was the perfect balance for us. When I look back and think of that moment when we had our first dance, it still is my favorite part of the day and I really credit Elizabeth’s teaching to making that moment just perfect for us. Elizabeth is a great dance teacher and is fun to work with! She helped us create and learn a unique father-daughter dance for my daughter’s wedding…and she made it fun. My fiancé and I were in the final week looking for dance lessons. We tried another instructor and found his teaching didn't fit with our laid back, casual style. We came upon Dennis with The Wedding Dance Coach and expressed our concerns and what we were looking for in a first dance. Dennis took our requests and put together a perfect dance for us that had enough structure to look nice but casual enough to not look ridged and unauthentic. He got us feeling very comfortable dancing together and in only two lessons (with extra practice at home) we were all set for our first dance. I highly recommend working with Dennis and really appreciate all he did to get our reception started off on the right foot (pun intended).

Simon and I signed up for group lessons a few months before our wedding. We have 4 left feet between us so we wanted to learn some “moves”. We had so much fun at the group lessons learning the basic steps for ballroom, swing, salsa, etc that we decided to have Elizabeth choreograph our first dance! We practiced in between each lesson and by the time the wedding was here we were ready! Elizabeth really worked with us to find moves that we were able to do but was still original and fun. She prepared new material but could also make changes on the fly if we needed to. The day of the wedding we were so nervous we forgot a few steps but nobody else knew! The guests LOVED our dance performance and it really set the tone for the rest of the night! We had so much fun learning our dance and it will always be a special part of our big day to look back on!

For many months leading up to my wedding day, I searched and spoke with numerous dance instructors in hopes that I would find someone who's not only talented, but creative, energetic, understanding, and just plain FUN. Elizabeth had all those qualities and more. From beginning to end Dave and I felt so at ease with her. She understood exactly what we wanted, how to teach it, and then--this is just the cherry on top--made it incredibly fun and relaxing at the same time. We did a combination dance of slow and fast--and our wedding crowd was hollering, clapping and whistling the entire time! So many guests came up to us and said that we had the best first dance they've seen and my parents came up to me at the end and said that they felt that dance made them want to get married again so that could do the same thing! Elizabeth was an amazing dance teacher, she allowed my wife and I to have a stunning first dance. I have never been able to dance at all, no rhythm as most people say, but Elizabeth was kind and patient. She worked with my wife and I till we were perfect, and she always had great feedback at the end of sessions with her! Best dance instructor money can buy!

Elizabeth was absolutely wonderful! My husband and I knew that we needed dance lessons for our first dance, especially since neither of us are very coordinated. My husband and I are NOT big dancers – neither of us has any formal dance experience, and we knew that we needed to prep for the big day, but dance lessons kept slipping to the bottom of our to-do list. A couple of weeks before the wedding, a friend recommended that we give Elizabeth a call. We were assuming that we were out of luck, given the short notice, but she was able to fit us into a group class and an individual lesson the very next week. For the group class, we met with two instructors and 3 other couples, and they helped us to get a handle on some basic steps. Going into our individual lesson a few days before the wedding, my husband and I were figuring that Elizabeth would teach us some simple moves, just to get us through our first dance without tripping over each other. We were totally wrong about that – in the hourlong lesson, she managed to choreograph an entire dance for us! It was great, because it was simple enough that we could learn it during the lesson (and practice it later on our own!), but it also looked amazing. After practicing on our own for the next few days, we completely surprised everyone at the wedding with our first dance! We’ve received so many compliments on how nicely our dance turned out, and our friends were impressed that it only took one lesson. It was amazing!

My husband and I took dance lessons from Dennis to prepare us for our first dance at our wedding. I have to say that Dennis was perfect for us in so many ways. He choreographed a dance that was suited to our skills and matched the style of the song we chose very well. We danced to "You're Nobody 'til Somebody Loves You" by Dean Martin and we had so much fun during our dance lessons and, of course, during the grand finale of the first dance! Admittedly, my husband, probably like many a groom, was not too fond of the idea of a first dance and is not a fan of dancing in general. But, as the bride I charmed him into it. I can genuinely say that my husband had fun taking lessons with Dennis he was able to get over his fear of formal dancing. To me, that says a lot about Dennis' abilities. Dennis has a great way with teaching others, understanding their comfort zone, and understanding what they want. We took some small group lessons from Elizabeth because it sounded like a fun way to practice some traditional dancing before our wedding. She was so much fun with her enthusiastic, spunky spunky style that we decided almost at the last minute to try and get a private lesson to choreograph our first dance with her. She worked with our late plea, and spent an hour with us 3 days before our wedding. With her support and flexibility, we ended up with a great dance that we and our guests loved. Thanks Elizabeth!

Prior to our wedding we did two lessons with Elizabeth. Using a Sinatra song that we picked she choreographed a routine that was perfect for us.

Neither of us are any good at dancing. We had gone to only one group class before meeting with her. At that other place we really didn't learn much and constantly felt like we were in trouble because we were doing it wrong. Being taught by Elizabeth was totally different from that other place. She kept it fun and was very patient with us. She listened to what we wanted and came up with a routine that we were very pleased with.

Two one hour lessons isn't much when you are not very dance coordinated but she made it work. She used our camera to video the dance so we could review it and continue practicing right up to the wedding.

This review is long overdue. We just met up with her again for a salsa lesson and it was a lot of fun! I highly recommend her for any dance instruction you need.

Elizabeth is not only an amazing dancer, she is an amazing teacher and choreographer. She made sure that we would not only learn the dance-perfectly-but that we would have a great time. She choreographed a dance that four amateurs could learn quickly and easily and would look terrific doing.

Elizabeth Marberry is a great dance instructor. She helped my husband who hated dancing and refused to dance ever, to get comfortable enough to do it in front of all of our guests at our wedding and he danced all night. My husband and daughter needed to do a father-daughter dance for her wedding, but my husband doesn't dance, and our daughter was out of the country. We set up two lessons, one for me and my husband so he (and I) could get the general idea of basic waltz steps, and the second for when my daughter came to town and they could "choreograph" a simple dance together. Elizabeth did a wonderful job choreographing our first dance! It was just our style - fun, flirty, casual, and above all it was something we could remember! Our goal was to improve our dancing for our opening dance and my dancing for the father-daughter dance as well as learn some current dance steps and routines for the wedding and parties in general. Elizabeth was very patient with us and made us feel very comfortable and not embarrassed. And most importantly Elizabeth was so enthusiastic and joyful about dance that she made our dancing lessons and our dancing fun.

I have no rhythm and two left feet but Elizabeth was patient and kind and worked with me (and my now husband) to create a beautiful first dance for our wedding that made me feel graceful and sexy. She helped us emphasize moments in the song that were important to us and she created sophisticated (feeling) moves that fit our skill level. Her choreography is captivating and her enthusiasm is contagious. The shock and surprise on the faces of my friends and family when we weren’t doing the “seventh-grade-slow-dance” move was priceless, not to mention the beautiful memory I have of my amazing first dance with the love of my life. Seven years later people who were at our wedding still comment on our dance.
