Our "day of" wedding coordinator, Leslie Jefferson, made it possible for me to enjoy my own daughter's wedding. She was available to us way ahead of the wedding. She reviewed all of our vendor contracts and plans for the wedding day. She helped us make a comprehensive schedule. Her suggestions were so valueable to my daughter and I that we stopped worrying and started enjoying the entire process of planning for a wedding. I had been waking up in the middle of the night with anxiety attacks worrying over this "destination" wedding, fearful that I would forget something important. After Leslie stared working with us and helped us outline what we wanted, I slept soundly once again. The day of the wedding went beautifully, exactly as planned. My daughter and I had no worries as everything happened just the way we had envisioned it. Leslie made that schedule happen. I actually arrived at the reception just a bit ahead of the guests and the fireplaces were lit, the candles glowing on the tables, the waiters were waiting with champagne and appetizers, and I felt almost as if I were an honored guest. The entire evening went on that way, from speeches given in a timely manner, to cutting the cake, to the limo arriving on time to take the newly married couple away. It was a grand event and it happened without a single problem, thanks to our wedding , Leslie Jefferson. I recommend Wedding Saavy with the highest regard.

Leslie was absolutely amazing before and on the day of our wedding! She not only bent over backwards to make sure our day was special and stress free, but she also did it with a smile and exceptional professionalism. She brought together every detail of our wedding beautifully, and made our day exactly as we had hoped for. Our only regret is that we hesitated hiring a wedding coordinator up until the month of our wedding. I had the pleasure of working with Gina from Wedding Saavy as my "Day of" Coordinator for my wedding. All I can say is she was absolutely AMAZING! Not only did she take over two months out and deal with all of my vendors, she made a detailed day-of schedule and distributed it to everyone involved in the wedding to make sure everyone knew where they needed to be. I was so relaxed on my "special day" and everything ran so smoothly! I know that without Gina the day would have been much more hectic, especially since we had more than 250 guests with two separate locations. Raquel and Wedding Savvy, Inc. were an absolute pleasure to work with while planning our wedding. Raquel was able to take our vision for both our wedding ceremony and reception and bring it to fruition. With Wedding Savvy based out of Annapolis, Maryland and my husband and I living and working in Ocean City, Maryland, Raquel made it both easy and convenient to schedule meetings with both herself and other vendors including the florist, decor company, photographer, etc. I can honestly say that our wedding would not have been the spectacular event that it was without her vision and ability to turn our simple ideas into such a fantastic, classy occasion. We had a wonderful time getting to know Raquel over the several months we spent planning our wedding with her. She spent a lot of time working with us, getting to know our likes/dislikes and personalities in order to really create a personal and unique wedding experience. Wedding Savvy has a great knowledge of vendor contacts and works with the best of the best. Our band, florist, photographer, bakery and decor company were amazing, all recommended by her. She personally coordinated between us and the vendors, which made it easy dealing solely with her rather than having to call each specific vendor. She was also very instrumental in helping us to stay within our budget and offered advice where to save money and where to perhaps splurge a bit. On the day of our wedding, her and her staff where there every step of the way from the time we started getting ready until the very end, she made sure everything was running smoothly and most importantly, made the day as stress-free as possible. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking to make their wedding a truly amazing event. I know our wedding is one that we will never forget thanks to her and her staff.

I can't even begin to express how thankful we are for Wedding Savvy. My husband and I decided to have a short engagement (5 months!) and called Raquel approximately 2 months before our wedding date. She immediately put me at ease, was an excellent resource, and provided a fabulous planner, Gina! If you are hesitating at all on whether to hire a planner/coordinator - don't think, just call Wedding Savvy. I consider myself organized, but when it comes to planning a wedding you are going a thousand directions - having a pro by your side is highly recommended. First of all, if you are going with wedding savvy, you need to go with Raquel. She's the best and while her other planners are good, she's the one you want and the one you need to form a relationship with from the beginning! Raquel has so much experience that it brought comfort to myself and my family to have her at the helm of the show! She is professional and timly assuring that the vendors honor their contracts, and the show runs smoothly. That is the biggest implement i have been getting after the wedding. That the whole afternoon and night ran so smoothly! Raquel made me confident that my guests would comfortable all night, but at the same time kept me and my family calm and comfortable. You may ask, as I still do, how can she do that? How can she manage the vendors, 200 guests, and the bridal parties? Well she did it. She more than managed us, she made sure it was perfect! For example, it was a tiny bit chilly, and we had heaters on reserve. Raquel calmly came up to me, waiting for a family member conversation to conclude, and asked how I felt about the heaters. Raquel is able to take your opinion into consideration while remembering her own professional experience. This made my family and I feel like the night was still very much ours, but with the polished finish of Raquel's professionalism.

Raquel Shutt and the team at Wedding Savvy did an absolute amazing job with the planning, organizing and execution for our wedding September 1, 2012. I cannot possibly recommend them more highly in your search for a wedding coordinator.
Raquel worked tirelessly to ensure our day went off without a hitch and all of her hard work and dedication paid off! We had the most wonderful day celebrating with our friends and family! We were engaged in April 2012 and decided to get married in under 5 months!
With an invite list of 350 guests we knew we would need a planner to help make the day a success. From the first meeting with Raquel we knew Wedding Savvy was the way to go, Raquel assured us that we could do everything we wanted even on a tight time line. Raquel was VERY easy to reach by cell, email or by meetings and made me feel as though we were her center focus! I have no idea how she is able to do it and around every corner was another surprise.
The list is endless of the tasks she was able to take over from my never ending “to do list”. She was able to manage the logistics to provide transportation for our guests for the weekend, set up valet parking, have a tent for our 250 guests with professional lighting erected in our backyard, coordinate flowers, photographer, caterers, tent design, house managers, dj, sparklers exit, church coordinators, hair & make up and AT THE SAME time keep me at ease (and this is NO small feat)!
When the Wedding Savvy team arrived on the morning of the big day I was suddenly at ease knowing Raquel would take over and I could relax and enjoy our wedding day. From start to finish everything went so smoothly. We were pampered with an assistant at our side throughout the entire day to make sure we had everything we needed and really most importantly to make sure we had water and food to eat!
The bottom line is crystal clear; you will be thrilled with your special day if you choose Wedding Savvy to be at your side!

We wanted to get married in Annapolis while I was in VA, he was in SC, mom was in Tokyo, and both of us were military. I had contacted several wedding planning businesses and was in the process of talking to several of them when Wedding Savvy made my decision very easy for me. Raquel,owner, had contacted USNA w/ the dates I was interested in and reported back to me that my number one choice was still available and informed me as to how to reserve the date. At this point I had not given WS a penny nor had I signed a contract saying I would hire them.If they are willing to do this w/out contract/money how helpful will they be once I have actually hired them?! We hired WS (Leslie) and I am absolutely thrilled that I did. 3 weeks after my wedding I can say that the wedding was EXACTLY as I had envisioned and was everything I could have asked for.We had been together for 6 years before we got married so I had plenty of time to pick out every detail of our wedding in my head. My biggest fear was that the wedding wouldn't live up to my expectations since I had planned it for so long. Leslie made sure that didn't happen! What I loved most about Leslie was that she was able to take our vision and execute it flawlessly. Leslie was very accommodating with our long distance situation and scheduled meetings so when my mom flew in and my fiance came up we were able to get as much done in one weekend as possible. We loved every vendor Leslie introduced us too and felt that she paired us perfectly based on our personalities and the vision for our wedding. The day of was peaceful and relaxing because Leslie and a WS assistant had everything covered. I didn't have to worry about anything the day of except spending time with my mom, my girls and getting ready to walk down the aisle. I would highly recommend WS to anyone who is looking to ENJOY their wedding planning process by having a professional, organized, experienced, and caring wedding planner!

I can't say enough about Erin and all she did to make my daughters wedding run without a hitch. She is organized, professional, understanding, kind, sees things others wouldn't and I could go on and on. Without Erin, our wedding would not have been as enjoyable for myself and my daughter. Erin took on all the responsibility for the day and allowed us to enjoy it. Before the wedding, when meeting with Erin, she gave us helpful ideas and suggestions to deal with many situations that come up. After our first meeting, my daughter and I relaxed for the first time in months, Erin's professionalism and calm made us feel confident that we could contact her with any questions, problems etc. and we were also confident that we had a special person in Erin that would help us through the wedding day. She worked well with all the vendors and they loved having her there to help them with any questions.
I could go on for pages with my praise for Erin but I will sum it up to say that the best thing we did when planning this wedding was to contact Wedding Savvy and the luckiest thing that happened is that we had Erin with us!!!!!

Wow our wedding coordinator was so unbelievably helpful that I don’t even know where to start . . . Erin Calabrese was our “Day Of” Wedding Coordinator from Wedding Savvy, but the “Day Of” service is so much more!!! We met with Erin months before the wedding day and instantly connected because she was so friendly, outgoing, professional and knowledgeable about coordinating various wedding events. She reviewed all of our contracts, contacted each vendor and created an organized and detailed timeline for the wedding day. All of these items took a tremendous weight and stress off my shoulders. Erin was always available through email and we met with her a few more times right before the wedding to solidify all the small details that I was not even thinking about.
Erin helped run the church rehearsal the day before our wedding to ensure that all ran smooth. She provided each member of our wedding party with a condensed page timeline, so everyone knew where they had to be and at what times. On the day of the wedding, my family and I were completely calm and were able to truly enjoy the entire day without any concern since we knew Erin was there. The day ran so smooth and efficient and we owe all of that to Erin’s coordination throughout the past few months and on the day of with all of our vendors. Erin was so thorough, organized and energetic in dealing with me, my family, our wedding party and especially all of our vendors that we cannot thank her enough for making the day so special and memorable! Gina Ingel was our wedding planner and she did an excellent job. She was everything we wanted in a coordinator- communicated with all our vendors, setup a timeline, helped with our vision for the decor, and of course assist with getting everyone where they are supposed to be on the wedding day. I originally hadn't intended to hire a wedding planner, as I thought that I could handle my wedding of fewer than 30 guests. But about 4-5 months into the process, I was exhausted by the numerous details of planning a wedding and the multiple phone calls necessary to reach vendors. So, I researched wedding planners on WeddingWire and then reviewed multiple planners' websites. I called Wedding Savvy first, because it had the only website that simply promised to take care of things, rather than plan "the wedding of my dreams!" - which wasn't what I was looking for. I have an extremely time-consuming job and eventually figured out that I needed to outsource the remainder of the wedding process in order to maintain my sanity. Owner Raquel Shutt called me personally and informed me that the majority of their brides also contact them when they reach the tipping point of frustration. After a satisfying conversation with Raquel, I hired Wedding Savvy for its day-of plus two-month service, which was perfect for me since my wedding was less than three months away at that point. Raquel assigned Leslie Jefferson, her associate who happens to live close to my wedding venue, to my account, and Leslie took over. I provided a list of my vendors, and from then on, the vendors worked directly with Leslie. We conducted all of our business by telephone (my choice, to save time), and Leslie was extremely helpful not only with coordinating vendors, but also with providing insight into things that hadn't occurred to me (e.g., the event manager at the venue hadn't suggested that we may need to order meals for the vendors). Also, having Leslie on-site on the wedding day was a godsend. She coordinated everything with the venue's staff, hosted the vendors, and also made sure that our family heirlooms (cake cutting set, for example) made it back safely to my hotel room. My only complaint - and it's very minor - is that Leslie said that she would contact all of my vendors as soon as the contract was active, but I spoke to two of them about a month later, and they didn't know who she was. Leslie explained that she had called them, but they hadn't returned the calls. Given my own frustration with the lack of responsiveness from vendors, that didn't surprise me. (Alert to all brides: I found vendors to be much more Type B than Type A generally, requiring a lot of follow up.) However, my primary reason for hiring a wedding planner was to deal with this issue, and I would have preferred that Leslie had connected with everyone promptly as promised. In the end, this didn't matter, and the wedding went beautifully. I would hire Wedding Savvy again and specifically recommend the firm to brides looking for a professional wedding planner who cares about making a bride's life simpler, rather than just the pomp and circumstance of a glamorous, large wedding. Additionally, I was impressed with Wedding Savvy's flexibility. My wedding was somewhat atypical (small guest list, no DJ/band & dancing), but Leslie adapted beautifully and we achieved exactly the wedding experience that my groom and I wanted.

Never in a million years did I think I would be able to plan my wedding in less than 4 months. Until I met Raquel... She was like a breath of fresh air. Perfection.
Whether looking backward from the wedding or forward from our first meeting with Raquel Shutt, I can think of no other word to use. It was a magical event--mostly because of who the bride and groom are, partly because of the New Year's Eve date, but surely because of Wedding Savvy and Raquel. When we were clueless, she had a vision. When we had an idea, she had a plan. When the inevitable hiccup came, she had the antidote. From big--what would the venue be and how would the event unfold--to small--we forgot the garter--to everything in between, I can imagine no better partner in this wonderful adventure than Raquel. She had a sense of who we were and adjusted on the fly to deliver what we wanted and what we needed. Definitely a problem-solver not a problem-identifier, she was the calm in the middle of the maelstrom. Raquel and her staff were present when the situation demanded and in the background when things were running smoothly. The single best testament to what she gave our family came at the very end of the night, when we had toasted the New Year and had sent the newlyweds on their way, my daughter (the new bride) came rushing back to me and said, "Mom, where's Raquel, I need to give HER a hug!"
I hired Wedding Savvy because I understood that wedding planning is not MY profession, but it is theirs. And, boy, did that single decision pay dividends in quality, value, and straight-up enjoyment. That Raquel is known and respected throughout Annapolis became obvious and yielded amazing results. Raquel and Wedding Saavy were truly amazing through the whole wedding planning process. I hired them for their "Day Of" services, but they began working with me and getting organized three months before our wedding. Raquel was always quick to respond to emails and phone call. She has great recommendations and relatonships with vendors. But most importantly she is extremely organized and friendly to work with. She was in contact with all of my vendors and had a very extensive day of agenda that everyone had signed off on weeks prior to our wedding. As all of my vendors felt prepared and coordinated, they were at ease on the day of and everything went perfectly!
Without Raquel, our wedding would not have taken place. I got married in the middle of a hurricane in August. I heard a lot of sad stories of couples having to call off their weddings that weekend. I fortunately had Wedding Saavy, and they managed to pull off my wedding almost exactly as it had been planned. It was truly incredible!

Leslie was just wonderful! Once we got started she was completely on board and the communication was always great! She gave us a great timeline of events and times and kept us on schedule. She worked well with the Beach Club's staff and stayed until the very end to make sure that I got everything I needed into my car. It was so nice to have someone who I knew had my back from the busses all the way to the sparklers at the end. For as busy as we were in the days leading up to the wedding it gave me a lot of comfort knowing that everything would be taken care of. The only regret that I have and this is my fault only is that for some reason we never rounded up my family for a big group photo. I don't know how that happened! We just ran out of time. I need to talk to Katie and Justin when they get back to see if they had asked the photographer to get the family together. AGain, my fault but I do regret that we didn't make it happen because I know that the grooms family had their family shot done. The day of the wedding was amazing! I didn't have to do anything except enjoy the day!! Raquel had EVERYTHING taken care of! I assume everything was 100% completely under control because I never had anything stressful brought to my attention and every single little detail of the wedding went off perfectly without a hitch! Even my bridesmaids loved Raquel because anything they forgot (scissors were their favorite necessity!), Raquel had it in her bag of goodies!!

My daughter was recently married with a guest list of 200 for an outdoor ceremony.
We met with Raquel a few months before the wedding and began the "Schedule of Events" - She continued to work with us up to the minute of the wedding perfecting the "Schedule of Events" so that every little detail flowed perfectly. And it did! Every second of the wedding and reception was planned with perfection. All of my guests were amazed at the detail to the wedding and how smoothly everything went.
Raquel had a solution to any obstacle we faced. One thing that really impressed me with Raquel is that she LISTENED to what the bride wanted and envisioned, and with that skill, Raquel was able to create the wedding of my daughter's dreams!

Wedding Savvy definitely saved our sanity! I had been convinced that we did not need a day of coordinator, but thankfully my stepmother didn't listen to me and set up a meeting with Raquel anyways...it was only after that meeting that I actually started to get excited about the wedding instead of just stressing out. We did the day of coordinator package which was just what we needed since we had booked all of our vendors early on, but needed help pulling everything together and logistically getting through the day. Raquel was extremely flexible and we had meetings at some crazy times to accommodate our schedules, and she was very patient with my family and our diverse requests/needs. It was great having her take over all the details with the vendors so we only had to talk to her instead of trying to contact each vendor individually for any changes.
The day of schedule was excellent and thanks to that schedule everyone got where they needed to be on time. Her staff on the day of the wedding was super sweet and very professional, and very prepared. Raquel had scissors on her purse for when my husband stepped on the sash of my dress and ripped it completely off...she had my loose threads cleaned up and me back on the dance floor within 30 seconds. Raquel also knows her weddings - the timing of the speeches was spot on and she encouraged us not to extend the wedding an extra hour to make sure we left on a high note and before other guests started to leave...and despite our not wanting the night to end, the visual of us leaving on the boat with all of our guests cheering was the highlight of the day for both of us.
I'm so glad we hired Wedding Savvy, they did an excellent job and allowed my family to enjoy the wedding rather than worry about the hundreds of details. Thanks again!

Leslie Mahoney and Raquel Schutt of Wedding Saavy have the wedding planning market cornered! As first time planners, my mom and I found the process to be a bit daunting and we were mostly worried about coordinating the events and corresponding vendors on the big day. We agreed upon Day-Of Coordination with Wedding Saavy and from that point on, while our agreement was for the "day-of" we felt taken care of throughout. Leslie was brave enough to meet my entire family and fiance for our preliminary meeting, where she wrangled us all with grace! And she asked us questions that we hadn't even begun to consider. We knew immediately that her presence at the wedding would be crucial. Fast forward to the few days leading up to the wedding and Leslie was on top of it all. I've often heard that vendors dont like working with coordinators, but Leslie was able to be assertive yet gracious with everyone. She went above and beyond to completely take care and set up all the accessory/decor items that I had been collecting, and most importantly, at the end of the night, had snuck into the bridal suite to decorate our bed and drop off all our belongings.
My father said it best; Leslie was never in the way, but always there. Dont know if that was because he found her truly helpful or if it was because she offered to get him his drinks throughout the whole night! But either way, I'll take it....a happy dad on wedding night cant be beat. I also remember at one point saying "well, we have to wait until Leslie gets..." and I was interrupted by a cheery "Im right here!" from just behind. Again, her presence felt but never seen.
Leslie was the best gift we received that day. I recommend her and Wedding Saavy to any Annapolis brides. My sister will certainly use her in the future!

Raquel was absolutely wonderful to work with!! We hired her for "day of" services, and we had so many of our guests (and the bridal party) comment on how helpful and organized she was. Honestly, we could not have gotten through the day without her! She was extremely prompt with emails, very professional, and definitely kept us on track. We were actually able to relax on our wedding day because she took care of every single detail. She gave us great advice when we needed it, had lots of ideas, and was simply fantastic to work with. Wedding Savvy, and Raquel specifically, gave me the perfect wedding day! My family and friends made the day, but Raquel made it possible for me to enjoy it and "take it all in" from the week beforehand to the day after the wedding.
I worked with her for about a year - she helped me pick vendors (which she pre-vetted before i met with them to make sure they would fit in my budget), brainstorm ideas for themes/decorations, and coordinated all aspects and logistics of the day - leaving no stone unturned - and kept people on schedule!
Our conversations and meetings were always fun AND professional - not an easy combination to balance. She has great relationships with a number of people in the area, but I always felt like she was MY advocate when dealing with vendors and locations. I was the type of bride that was always excited about getting married, but really wasn't all too excited about PLANNING it all. Raquel made it FUN! and took a lot of the stress out it.
The real value was the ease i felt all weekend because someone was looking out for me - i was completely confident that everything was taken care of and that potential crisis would all be averted leaving me, my husband, and our parents to truly enjoy the event.
They picked up all of my "stuff" - gift bags, votives, guest book, and other accessories - the monday BEFORE the wedding and distributed it to where it needed to be saving me from endless "week of" errands. She handled all last minute guest and table changes without stress or concern. The spaghetti strap on my dress snapped off one hour before the ceremony, she got out her needle and thread and fixed it! And her team personally made sure all of my belongings (presents, envelopes, accessories, purses) got back to the hotel in my parents car after the ceremony.
We had several comments from people not only saying how much they enjoyed themselves, but how incredibly organized the day was. It literally went off without a hitch - "perfect weddings are perfectly planned" - and i attribute that entirely to Raquel and the Wedding Savvy team!

I reached out to Raquel after finding her information in the Washingtonian Magazine. In the description, it said that Raquel was known by brides for her professionalism and that she specialized in weddings in Annapolis and the Eastern Shore. Since we knew we were opting for a water/beach type wedding, I felt it was best to get in touch with her and go from there. Wedding Savvy was very helpful through out the whole process. From the initial consultation I knew that I could count on Raquel to help with any questions I had. After getting Valerie, two months out from the wedding, she was just wonderful. Her professionalism and responsiveness were very helpful in making our day everything we dreamed of. Wedding Savvy made our wedding run perfectly smooth. We hired them for “day-of” coordination for our March wedding. Since I am a perfectionist, I knew I wanted someone there on my wedding day to take every worry away so I could actually enjoy my wedding day. Leslie and her assistant executed that task flawlessly.
Leslie was professional and super sweet. She met me and my mother about a month before the wedding and went over every detail of the wedding in order to create an organized schedule for myself, immediate family and bridal party. My mom left the meeting feeling so relieved that we had hired Wedding Savvy. Leslie took care of contacting all my vendors and confirming final details. This was truly helpful in the week before the wedding. She also attended my wedding ceremony rehearsal the night before and answered any questions from family and bridal party. Following the wedding, Leslie packed up her car with all my belongings from the venue and dropped it off at my parents the following morning. This was extremely helpful and thoughtful given that most of our guests were in a bus so we did not have to worry about designating that task to anyone.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Wedding Savvy - the owner Raquel was amazing to work with up front. As soon as I spoke to her, I knew I wanted to book them. She was super cool, knew exactly what "type" of wedding I was envisioning, and matched me to Erin C. who I absolutely love! Erin and I met many months before my wedding - and from the getgo she was able to keep up with my crazy ideas and even help keep me on track. She did all the thinking for me - and I was just have to answer questions (that was easy!). She was so reliable with getting things to me and with meeting up to discuss details. I do not know how she does it, but she never once seemed stressed - just always pleasant and smiling and keeping things moving forward. Her assistant was equally nice and both were totally under the radar on the day of the event.
We had a Persian wedding which is quite elaborate but she worked closesly with my contact at the venue to set it all up and then broke it down afterwards. She was also able to coordinate a bunch of uncooperative adults (I love my family!) to keep things on schedule. Anytime I panicked for a quick second, she has an answer or solution ready to go.
Our favorite detail is after my ceremony, my husband and I took our couples pictures on the beach. We came back and my feet were all sandy. As I was wondering how I would clean them to put my feet back in the shoes, she quickly got water and a towel and washed my feet - that was definitely not in the contract!! ;-)
