The Wedding Shoppe Inc.

So I live in Kansas City and went up to Minn. for Thanksgiving and my mom thought that it would be fun to try on dresses with the whole family there. I'm talk 12 of us. The Wedding Shoppe was wonderful, they let my little cousin help me pick out dress and even let me try on as many as I needed to make sure that I had made the right decision. Of course it was the first dress that I tried on, but they were just amazing in testing the waters just to make sure I was right. My dress was so beautiful the day of my wedding thank you!

I searched forever trying to find a wedding gown store that carried Maggie Sottero dresses. I ended up finding a couple at the wedding shoppe. Neither of which I wanted, but I was able to try a dress on that was pretty close to the look I was going for, which made me feel comfortable enough to order my dress through Maggie's website through the Wedding Shoppe. The alterations department was great, and my bustle turned out beautiful. My only complaints are that they didn't carry any dresses that were exactly what I wanted (but they were great to work with for ordering a different dress) and that when your dress comes in, you are alerted by snail mail, which i never actually received. I was waiting for a phone call, and it never came. So finally my MOH convinced me to call them, and sure enough my dress had been in for 2 weeks, and i had no idea. Luckily, they fit me in to get a fitting the next day, so everything worked out fine.

I was so excited to go to my apt. at the wedding shop...I just KNEW I was going to find my dream dress there. (I had looked at 10 shops previous, and was getting very burnt out of not finding "the one") My apt was on a Saturday afternoon...it was crazy in there, and I felt like I was not getting alot of attention. The first thing the lady that was helping me asked was "what does my competition look like?" I told her that I've been looking at several places and had a few favorites but was still looking. After I tried on the first dress she said "So is this better than the others you tried on?" It was quite annoying. Also, I told her that I would like to try on the dress that was in the window and she said "Well, that is a Kleinfields dress and is very expensive" She did not know my budget. So, needless to say, I did not buy my dress here, and after going to every dress store in the minneapolis area, this was the worst experience I had. There are far better places out there.

I got my wedding dress from the Wedding Shoppe. I had a really great experience the whole way through the process.
We didn't have an appointment, but they were nice enough to squeeze me in when my mom and I just stopped by. My consultant was extremely helpful and really understood my needs. She actually picked out the dress I ended up buying when I would have left it on the hanger! Also, they have a great policy called "cash and carry". If you can pay for your dress in full and are not having alterations done there, you can get 20% off. On top of that, there is no tax on clothing in MN...this includes wedding dresses! My dress also came in earlier than expected and in perfect condition.

I think that this place has the best selection and quality of most places in the cities. They are a one stop shop. We got my dress and vail, the tuxes and bridsmaid dresses there. My mother also got her dress there. The only thing that bothered us was with the tuxes. The groom got his for free, but we still had to pay fees when we picked it up. The extra fees were not disclosed to us. Overall I really like the service, just make sure you have an appointment!
