Weddings by Georgia

If there is one thing I could change about my wedding - or the last three weeks leading up to it - I would have stressed less about the little things and trusted that it was all in good hands with Georgia. Unfortunately, I am a little too detail oriented and kept worrying that I'd forget to communicate something important and there would be a trainwreck. It's not that I didn't trust my DOC, I just wasn't sure exactly what she was responsible for and what I needed to handle. And, I'm the kind of person who has a tendency to "over-handle". I could have relaxed, and I wish I had a little more, but things were perfect, so I guess I can't complain. Georgia was very professional and got all the details in order and was there exactly when she needed to be or exactly when I needed her. It was nice to have someone taking care of the details on the day of. Everything went smoothly and I had nothing to do but look nice and enjoy the party! I'd definitely recommend her, especially if you are using the Don Vicente!!

Couldn’t have asked for someone more professional, more involved, more on top of her game and more caring about her bride & groom. Georgia truly became a friend & someone I miss talking to or emailing on a daily basis. For us, this was a “destination wedding.” Although I am from Florida and my family lives there, my husband and I live in NY and many of our guests would be flying in for the wedding. For us the only way to plan this wedding was to get someone in Florida to take the reigns. My husband did not want to hire a planner at first, but when we made Florida the official location, he began to consider it more. Then I researched planners in the Tampa Bay area and called Georgia and a few others. From the first time I spoke with Georgia I knew she would be the right match for us. Before making it official, however, I had my husband speak with her. Once we hired her & she got the ball rolling for us, well, he’ll tell you that she is worth her weight in gold and then some. She is truly priceless. We had a venue chosen when we hired her but we hadn’t actually been there. I just knew the place by reputation and really wanted to get married there and because they only had one opening for the entire year of 2008, we gave them a deposit. Upon doing a walk through with Georgia (luckily 11 months before the wedding date we wanted) we were so disappointed with the venue we had chosen. Georgia was quick with alternative suggestions and luckily her number choice was mine as well. She made a phone call the next day and they were available for the date we had chosen. She is incredibly knowledgeable, has great ideas and has been doing this long enough to have all the answers. On the off chance she doesn’t have one right away, she’ll find the right answer for you. Although wedding planning is stressful whether you have a planner or not, she really took all the weight off our shoulders. I am a planner and thinker so my wheels were turning almost as soon as we got engaged. The nice thing was, I knew if Georgia hadn’t mentioned it, I really didn’t need to be worried about it. I would still ask about things and she would acknowledge my concerns, thoughts or questions, takes notes of them, and tell me when I should start thinking about it further. When I got stuck on flowers, she had me stop looking at them for a month or so. She wouldn’t let me second guess myself, but was patient when I did. Overall we couldn’t have been happier with Georgia. She was everything we wanted and really truly made our wedding dreams come true.
