Weddings by Rose Barboza

We are so glad we chose Rose for our special day! She was a pleasure to work with and helped craft what many of our friends have called the most emotional wedding they’ve ever been a part of. She was willing to try Skype for her first time to accommodate our busy schedule and inability to meet in person. We liked her right away and she quickly helped pull together the ceremony based on our conversations, doing some research for additional quotes based on some authors we liked. Rose was also very professional and reliable. She did a great job running our rehearsal, especially after our transportation company caused us to be 30 minutes late for our short 1 hour rehearsal window at the chapel. She was polite and welcoming, but kept the group focused and on task. She was equally great during the ceremony itself. She subtly told us if we weren’t looking at each other (oops! Hard not to look at her instead) or loud enough, and she did a nice job introducing our mothers as readers (and preventing a near mix-up). We really liked Rose and highly recommend her for your own wedding day.

As the groom, I was a bit intimidated to take on the responsibility of finding an officiant. We were planning a destination wedding, so I knew that we wouldn't have a chance to personally meet with the person who would be performing the most important ceremony of our lives. I felt an enormous amount of pressure to get it right.

After several hours of online research, narrowing down my list to a few candidates, I contacted Rose. She responded with a very friendly, informative email that showed her enthusiasm for what she does. After reading her sample vows, my fiancee was sobbing. I took that as a good sign.

We conducted a phone meeting with Rose the next week, and knew by the end of the conversation we had found the right person for our wedding. Rose was very involved along the way, following up with us several times before the wedding to go over the details and see if we had any questions.

On the big day, she arrived in plenty of time before the ceremony, making sure we were all where we needed to be. The wedding was outdoors, and the wind was particularly strong. But Rose spoke clearly and loudly, without ever sounding as if she were yelling. Throughout the entire event, she was extremely friendly and professional.

As with just about every wedding, there were several things I wish I had done differently, or things that just didn't go as I expected. Having Rose share our special day with us is not one of them. Everything about her participation was absolutely flawless, and it was a joy to work with her.

I would highly recommend Rose as an officiant. She was unbelievably accommodating. My husband and I decided to elope while we were on vacation in Bodega Bay. Rose was very responsive, helpful, and able to work us in last minute. She even brought a witness who snapped a bunch of great photos with our camera at no additional charge. Rose customized the ceremony and gave us exactly what we wanted, where we wanted, on less than 12 hours notice. She filed the license the same day and provided us all of the information we needed to apply initially and obtain copies. Any couple would be lucky to have Rose officiate their ceremony.

Rose was amazing at making my husband and I feel like we were the only wedding that mattered to her. She took the time to make sure that we were comfortable with the ceremony that she had prepared and if there were any changes we would like to make. What was most impressive was that she really treated us with respect and warmth as if we were already close friends. This translated into a genuine feeling that she cared about making our day special. I would highly recommend Rose to my friends and family because of her professionalism and commitment to making our day as special as it could be.

Our wedding was planned in a very spontaneous manner. Rose made herself available to us on very short notice. This was especially appreciated because of the drive involved to our venue. Unlike other officiants we interviewed, she did not pressure us into doing things a certain way and did not make us feel silly for planning things last minute. Her attitude was very positive, friendly, and sincere. It was a pleasure to have been married by Rose Barboza. She helped make our day special.

Rose performed our wedding just a week ago. From beginning to end she has been warm, professional, and pleasant. She met with us prior to contracting with her when several others would not. She helped us with organizing our ceremony. She was on time and in control at the rehearsal. There was always open communication and she respected our wishes for the type and tone of our ceremony, what we wanted said and how we wanted it to go. Can't say enough for how sweet a person she is and how much of a help she was in this process. Highly recommended!

Rose is amazing!! Very helpful with vows and the way we wanted our wedding to flow. If you are the kind of person that is not very religious, Rose is the perfect officiant for you. We would highly recommend her to everyone we know.

Rose was Awsesome!! She was peppy, fun, respectful of what we wanted, and she even married us twice! We are so glad that Rose was a part of our special day. She has such a wonderful personality, and is full of positive energy!

Rose officiated our wedding last week, and did an incredible job! She took the time to meet with us beforehand, and go over every last detail. She was very accommodating, and was willing to change any and all parts of her "standard" reading to fit our needs. She was warm, kind, open, funny, and everything you'd want out of someone on your special day.

The actual officiating went BEAUTIFULLY. She has great presence, a wonderful speaking voice, and a really genuine nature that shows. She felt natural standing next to us up there! I really felt as if I had known her for life when she married us. In addition, she was very calm and patient, and had excellent demeanor when dealing with a sometimes unruly wedding party. She was very classy and professional, and I could tell that she really loves what she does! Her reading was so beautiful - we had multiple people crying and it felt really personal and sweet.

Rose helped make this the best day of our life. I'm SO happy we had her as part of our wedding! She would make a fantastic addition to any wedding. Sweet, genuine, honest, open, caring, and fun - what more could one ask for? Thank you so much Rose! You were a big reason that our huge day was perfect! I highly recommend Rose as an officiant, lots of kudos!!

Rose was very professional listened to what I wanted and was very personable.

Rose Barboza is an incredible person. She sincerely wanted to get to know us and was in constant contact with us. She met us at a local coffee shop, and she was always accessible by phone or email if we had any questions or changes. We felt very comfortable with her and she delivered a beautiful ceremony. In fact, we had several of our guests request a copy of her ceremony! We felt like she had written it just for the two of us! That is how perfectly we felt it fit us!

I wouldn't have depended on anyone else.

While visiting Rose, my soon to be husband asked if she could perform the ceremony on a short notice, (15 min). With her husband serving as a witness and her daughter, Desirae, being the flower girl, the ceremony was performed in her back yard. Even that it was on short notice, I could not have asked or hoped for a perfect wedding. The service, reponsiveness, professionalism, and flexibilty were way above extrarodinary for a very special day.

Dear Rose, As you know this was my second marriage. The first was in a beautiful church by our minister. My second was in my father in laws back yard by you. I only wish I had you as my first as well. It was so much more personal, heart felt and fun by you. If someone wants a stuffy, unfeeling wedding go with a minister but if they really want something from the heart and personal they should go with you. Thank you for being apart of my day, it will always live on in my heart.

Rose is kind, understanding, professional and she listened and understood what I wanted. I would recommend Rose to everyone. We just had our 12 year Anniversary.

The ceremony that Rose did for us was beautiful. My husband and I were amazed by what a great job she did, and we couldn't have asked for a more kind, sweet, and professional person than Rose to marry us. She was very organized and took care of our needs. She's the best and we highly recommend her!

Rose Barboza is seriously so amazing! She married us May '05 and was perfect. She was so respectful and listened to what we wanted and helped our ceremony run so smoothly. I have and will continue to recommend her to anyone getting married.

Rose was such a pleasure to work with! We started with one of her basic wedding ceremonies and she encouraged us to make any changes/additions/deletions that we wanted (other than the few bits that need to be in there for legality). She was helpful throughout the planning process and wonderful at the rehearsal and on the wedding day. We keep hearing from guests how nice the ceremony was!

My husband and I eloped recently in Santa Rosa, CA while on vacation. We only had a week and a half between when we decided to do this and the date of the ceremony. Rose was very quick to reach out to us once she had our contact info and I found her warm, down to earth and easy to talk to. The day of the ceremony, Rose was willing to trudge down a slope and stumble around on some rocks by the creek for our ceremony even though she was dressed nice for an event that was following! I have to admit it was not easy to walk around on those rocks and I appreciated that she was completely willing to go along with it!

The ceremony was unique and Rose made it all so easy. Both of us felt at ease with her and are happy we chose her to marry us. It's not easy to plan a wedding across the country without actually getting to meet people before choosing them and I feel confident in saying that you won't be disappointed if you chose Rose to do the same for you.

Rose was very proffessional as well as down to earth. She uses beautiful vows that made everyone tear up. I would use her again if given the chance but by chance is over (unless of course we renew).

Rose was great and so down to earth. She responded to questions quickly and was very sweet and professional.

Was flexible in the time of need when our dearest friend had gone into the hospital and was very ill and would not be able to marry us. She did accommodate us in the short time we had to find an officiant. Tho, I was sort of displease with how short the ceremony was and seemed like it was being rushed. The ceremony didnt have much personality to it and if I knew that before hand I would have wrote something myself. She also stayed for the reception and dinner which I didnt know that was part of the agreement. Overall it was an ok ceremony.

Rose is absolutely wonderful! Her ceremonies are beautiful and she is so easy to work with. My clients are always very happy when working with Rose. I highly recommend her!
