Paul and Adam with Westgate are awesome! Our wedding flowers were stunning and at almost three days after the wedding my rose bouquet still looks fresh and beautiful. Westgate offers amazing service, attention to detail, quality flowers and are truly a value.

I talked to both Paul and Adam about the flowers they provided for our Sept 2, 2012 wedding. They did a spectacular job. I initially went there because they were close by and had decent reviews. I did not have a vision for our wedding-my only criteria was "no white flowers". I wanted bright cheerful colors. Paul sat and went through options with pictures and listen to me like some and not like others, even though my family (who had decided to accompany me) and I were extremely awkward. He and Adam listened to me be a cheapskate and waffle on little tiny details. In the end, they did a great job with bouquets, boutonnieres, table pieces, a mantlepiece and a few loose flowers for decoration. I couldn't have done better or even half as good if I had picked it myself. I loved it, it wasn't goofy looking and everyone else there admired them as well! Oh, and it was all <$1000. Delivery was included. Thank you, Westgate!

We wanted to stay local and within our budget for flowers as they were not our top priority and we weren't sure what we wanted. We met with several florists and just were not impressed. THEN we met with Paul at Westgate. He asked all the right questions to help us realize we did have strong opinions of what we wanted. He was straightforward, offered great ideas, knowledgeable, and incredibly flexible with me even as I changed my mind more than once! Our flowers turned out more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. When I saw my bouquet for the first time-I cried. YEP-that is how well they put together something that reflected exactly what I wanted (well actually better). I have truly never seen such beautiful bouquets. Westgate Flowers will now be my go to florist for anything I ever need again!

Westgate did a beautiful job with our wedding. I know absolutely nothing about flowers, but they were still able to get exactly what I wanted for our special day. They went above and beyond by bringing in potted trees with light, as well as a backdrop with lights behind our headtable to add to our reception space.
Our bouquets were beyond gorgeous. They were so beautifully done - full and colorful without costing a fortune.
They worked with our budget to figure out where to spend the money and where to put less expensive options in.
Our wedding would not have been the same without the wonderful team at Wesstgate :)

I chose Westgate to do the flowers for my wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we could have made! We ordered our flowers a while ago, but the staff was so helpful and really knowledgeable! I knew I wanted daisies, but not much else. Paul was able to suggest some other flowers to go in the arrangements and showed us examples while we were in the store. The flowers were all delivered to the church cleanly wrapped and crisp and cold. The bouquets were exactly what I had pictured in my mind, and they created them from only seeing a tiny picture on my phone MONTHS AGO! They are very talented and were a breeze to work with. They responded to emails quickly too. I am very pleased with Westgate Flowers!

The guys at Westgate Flowers did an AMAZING job on our wedding flowers. Before going to them we went to a highly recommended florist in Chicago and had a horrible experience! We contacted the guys over at Westgate and told them what we were looking for and what we could afford to spend on flowers and set up a meeting. When we got to the shop they had made us two different arrangements as basic ideas from what we had told them and they were amazing. Not many florists would use their stock for a first meeting with a couple that hadn't even talked about signing a contract yet. Then on our actual wedding day, they went back to Oak Park to get additional supplies that we didn't realize we needed just to make sure that our day went perfectly. Our flowers were beautiful and the service was unbelievable.

I'm not very confident in flowers, so I just told Paul my colors, my overall idea and he went with it. I also had a family who changed their minds several times regarding their coursages and I changed my mind for the ceremony aisle, and he just went along with it and kept track of every request for me like it was no big deal. He was a delight to work with, very enthusiastic and professional, and everything turned out so beautifully!

We loved their work! They were very easy to work with, came up with a cheaper option when my ideas didn't quite match my budget, and delivered everything perfectly. My bouquet was still looking beautiful one week after the wedding!

These guys are awesome. The flowers looked beautiful, they were super friendly and helpful, and we didn't even have to blow the budget.

I worked with Paul. I really wanted a specific color or orange lilies for my bridesmaids. He seemed to know what I wanted but on the wedding day they showed up and were almost red. That was not really what I wanted, and I felt if he had looked at pictures of what I wanted or let me see the actual flowers beforehand we would have been more on the same page.

My husband has been going to Westgate for years and so when it came time for our wedding it was an obvious choice.

We worked with Paul, one of the co-owners of the shop. I am so thankful that we did. He provided us with some wonderful choices to choose from based on our wedding colors. Not only that but they didn't charge a delivery fee and gave us a discount to accommodate our budget.

My husband and I planned way in advance when we weren't sure of how many tables that we would need for the event. As it turned out we had ordered to much. Westgate was able to arrange all the flowers so that everything was perfect.

After a few very strange meetings with other florists, I was ready to give up. But, after meeting with Paul I knew Westgate would work well. I had a recommendation from a friend, and he was a great balance of being open to what I wanted, but having helpful suggestions from his experience as well. They took care of making sure that the places would be open for deliveries, etc - so you'll have less to worry about. The centerpieces were larger than expected for the price and everything was exactly what we talked about.

I went into Westgate completely clueless about what I wanted for flowers. Gave Paul my wedding colors and he really took it from there. Everything arrived at the church on time and in absolutely beautiful condition - fresh and the colors were totally perfect. They were delightful to work with.

The flowers were beautiful and were delivered on time. Westgate did a nice job and several people commented on the flowers. However, there were a few things that we discussed that were in the contract that ended up being slightly different the day of the wedding ... for example ... the head table was supposed to have 2 arrangements ... a high and low vase ,,, but there was only one. Also, as the bride, I expected my bouquet to be larger than it was. It was only slightly larger than the bridesmaids' and the flower girl's basket looked larger than mine.

Everything was great, but there were some minor things they delivered that weren't what I asked for. My wedding was light blue and ivory, so I asked for light blue flowers. I also clearly stated that I didn't want anything that shaded toward or was close to purple- and the altar flowers, as well as my mother's (who hates purple) corsage, were ivory and purple. I said that I wanted my grandmother's corsage to be the exception, with all purple flowers (because it was her favorite color), and hers was a smaller version of my mother's- ivory tea roses with lavender accents. Also, we asked for a candle on the altar in rememberance of the groom's parents, and it was never lit with the other candles.

Otherwise, everything was great. Paul was easy to work with. My and my bridesmaids' bouquets, the guys' boutonieres, and the reception table arrangements were fantastic. All of the flowers, even the wrong ones, were fresh and in great condition. Would otherwise recommend, as long as they give what you ask for.
