White Oak Productions

We were really pleased with both Mimi at White Oak Productions and with the band we booked through them, Voodoo Funk and Soul. The band leader, Kris, was incredibly helpful in the planning stages, getting all the details that we discussed exactly right during the set-up and reception, and most importantly, everyone had a blast dancing all night to their great music! We would book them again in a second.

We used White Oak Productions to find the perfect band for our wedding reception. They were extremely professional and patient with us (took us a while to make up our minds on which band to choose--we went back and forth quite a bit!). We ended up choosing Figure Eight--a motown band--and we could not be happier with this choice! We had a very diverse crowd at our party--all age groups were represented, and half of the guests were from Europe--Figure Eight had EVERYONE dancing (even the notorious non-dancers!). They took special requests and let us play our own CD during the breaks so our guests could perform their traditional Serbian dances. We continue to get compliments on our band! They were wonderful!

We really enjoyed the music provided by Sunpie Barnes and the Louisiana Sunspots at our wedding. Unfortunately I do not have contact information for the band, but they have their own myspace page. This contact information is for White Oak Productions. Sunpie was very flexible with our schedule. They play mostly original music. They were excellent!

Becky from White Oak is great and very easy to contact. However, Patrice Fisher, the harpist and lead musician was not. Patrice kept on referring me to her website to listen to the music, but the website crashed frequently saying I had exceeded her transfer bandwidth or something like that. She did majorly stress me out the week before the wedding because I was struggling to finalize my music, and she was not much assistance. However, the day of the wedding, everything came together and from what I could hear inside, it sounded great.

We got Deacon John and the Ivories for our reception. They just made the party! Everyone was up and dancing the entire time. He performed songs that appealed to everyone, and people just raved about how great the band was. Definitely worth the money!
