Shawna from White Orchid Wedding consultant is amazing at what she does. Shawna is extremely organized, resourceful and has an excellent working relationship with other vendors in order to get things done smoothly and cost effectively.She is truly talented at her job. Our wedding was more beautiful than we ever anticipated! She took our ideas and brought them to life. Shawna met with us very frequently for the entire year leading up to our wedding and made sure we were meeting a structured timeline which made everything go very smoothly. Shawna directed us and our wedding party flawlessly throughout our rehearsal and the entire day of our wedding. We can't thank Shawna enough for a perfect day! I would recommend anybody to firstly get a wedding planner and secondly to use Shawna. You will not be disappointed. Thank you for everything Shawna. It will never be forgotten.

Shawna did show up to meetings on time and was able to work with my schedule which I appreciated. She also ensured that the tent walls went up/came down in conjunction with the weather changes, which was great. The tables were quickly set during the flip, and this was also appreciated.

Overall however, I was disappointed in the service I received. For the price I paid, I was hoping for an eager support person who would be prompt with correspondence leading up the event. The contract included 8 hours of consulting. I requested some help with searching out a shuttle service. It took about a month for Shawna to get back to me, having forgotten about this task.

I felt it was somewhat unprofessional to speak negatively about another vendor I was working with. When it came to the wedding day, the wedding programs were not given out to guests. I had instructed Shawna about the programs the day before, and I was very disappointed to find out they didn't make it out.

Again, my expectation for a $900 fee was to be working with a keen team player who was there to work hard and help me out. I do not feel I received this service.

From start to finish Shawna with White Orchid Weddings, was not only an amazing wedding planner, she was also a friend. We worked with her for almost a year to plan our wedding and I couldn't have asked for more. I am almost sad that it is over. Haha. Talking to her and working with her was an absolute pleasure. She made me feel at ease about everything and was always there when I needed her to be. She kept in constant contact and never left me guessing or wondering what was next. The day would have never been as amazing as it was without her there. She was always checking up on me to make sure everything was as I hoped and dreamed it would be. I can’t stress enough how great Shawna really is. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend her services to anyone planning a wedding. Thank you Shawna – from the bottom of my heart.

My husband Nathan and I had never put much thought into what our wedding would be like and we were very much not in "the know". Right away I found that Shawna had everything mapped out on what we needed to pick and when it had to be booked. We went over the budget on the first sitting and went from there. She lined up meetings with 4 different venues for us and joined us during the appointments to view them.

Shawna is a decisive person and was vocal about what her opinions were which helped me make decisions easily. If I was slacking on any tasks, she was there with me making sure everything got picked out and organized. The day before the reception, she was at the hall with us arranging flowers and setting up the room. She has a calm way of directing and organizing jobs and she had everything taken care of.

The day of the reception I can't explain how wonderful it is to not have a single worry about what was going on at the hall. I had full trust in everything Shawna did and I knew it was going to be perfect! She is an absolute gem and I would not have changed a thing!

I can not imagine a bride not having a wedding planner. I have helped with a couple of weddings since my own without a planner and to see everyone close to the bride trying to organize cake, food, music, decorations etc and not stress out the bride the day before is agonizing! The most amazing gift you could give to yourself as a Bride, Mother or Bridesmaid is to at very least have a day of wedding planner so that everyone's mind can on what is truly important, enjoying the day!. It all goes by so quickly and each person involved should savor every moment. Having a Shawna there allows you to do just that!
