Our wedding cake was AMAZING! White rose bakery was wonderful to work with. Debra was super creative and fun and she really understood the vision I had. We went to all the “premiere” bakeries in the Portland metro area and Debra’s cakes were by far tastier and her prices are hard to beat! When we couldn’t decide on flavors, she even delivered a couple more for us to try so that we could make up our minds! We live in North Portland and although she is a little out of the way (in Canby) it was SO worth the drive to go see her (and it is a beautiful drive). Go see her, I am sure after you taste her cakes you will book her!!!!!

Debra at White Rose Bakery was phenomenal! I would highly recommend her to anyone in the Portland area looking for a stunning cake at a reasonable price.

Since we were out of towners, we worked with Debra mostly over email. We traveled to Portland to meet up with her and do a tasting, and she was just as courteous and professional in person! Plus, when we wanted to taste a few other types of cake, she had no problem sending us samples via overnight mail.

Not to mention, the cake turned out great! She took our vision and mastered it. It was perfect!

We LOVED our experience with Debra. She listened to what we wanted and created exactly what we had in mind. She was fabulous to work with. The cake was delivered with no issues and was perfect in every way. We strongly recommend working with this bakery.

We hired Deb and White Rose Bakery to create my daughter's wedding cake on September 12, 2010. My daughter loves cheesecake and wanted that for her wedding cake. Deb was one of the only bakeries that offered this choice. But what really sold us was the sheer artistry of the cakes. Deb and her team are amazing artists. They simply know what looks great. We wanted something sophisticated and elegant yet simple. And they delivered that times 10. Nicole's cake was so beautiful. And the taste... it was simply decadent. Add to that the fact that they are very affordable and you can't go wrong. When it is time for my husband and me to renew our vows, I will certainly be calling White Rose Bakery and I recommend them with all my heart.

I used Deb for our wedding cake. The cake was amazing! I was very particular about what I was looking for and had met with two other decorators, that were not able to give me the cake that I wanted. When I spoke with Deb on the phone to set up my appointment I gave her a bit of info of what I was looking for. When I arrived at the appointment for my cake tasting she was VERY prepared. She was on the exact same page as me! The cake turned out wonderful and tasted AMAZING! We didn't have as many people show up to the wedding as we had planned on, so I figured there would be A LOT of left over cake, but it went quickly! Many of our guests went back for seconds and thirds to try all the flavors! She also made cupcakes with leftover batter for the kids! It was a great deal! I highly recommend White Rose Bakery!

My husband and I decided on a four-tier fondant cake alternating chocolate hazelnut and dulce de leche. We absolutely loved the flavors and presentation of our cake, and the knowledge and expertise of White Rose Bakery.

When we went for our scheduled cake tasting we were blown away with our plates with huge slices of six different flavors. Before our meeting I had a phone call with Debra about what flavors we tend to lean to and what to stay away from. All of the different cakes were terrific! It was very difficult to trim our choices down to two.

My husband does not like cake. That said, he not only finished all six of his tasting slices, but took the honor of helping me finish mine! We couldn't have been happier with any other cake or company. White Rose Bakery is miles above the rest. No competition! We would absolutely use them again!

I had a handful of friends recently engaged and most of them contacted me immediately after returning from my honeymoon to find out where we got our cake... I'd say that's good marketing!

The entire experience was amazing. The customer service excellent... The cake was gorgeous and it tasted exactly as it did at the tasting. Excellent! I would highly recommend White Rose Bakery... Debra was a great listener and followed through with everything that was promised. I was blown away by the quality and how reasonable the cost for the great service that was provided. Our experience with White Rose was AMAZING. My husband and I tasted at several bakeries in the Portland Metro area and were very dissapointed with most of them. Debra however made delicious and fresh cake and had the personality to go along with her wonderful creations. She listened to our ideas and helped up create a cake that absolutely blew us both away.

Her flavors were to die for and we had the hardest time deciding which to pick. Her Red Velvet is the BEST in the city and I can't wait to have another event to work with her again.

White Rose Bakery made my wedding cake and it tasted WONDERFUL!! Debra was very professional in how she kept in touch with us on how we wanted our cake to look like and what flavors we wanted. The flavors were amazing! As you can see I gave her a 5.0/5.0!!! I would suggest White Rose Bakery to anyone! Even just for birthday or some other special occasion, Debra is the best!

White Rose Bakery did our cake for our wedding this past August. The cake was absolutely beautiful!! Our guests were coming up to us all night and commenting on how beautiful and yummy the cake was and asking us who had done it. Debra was such fun to work with, she has great ideas and helped us come up with the perfect design for our cake. My husband even loved her fondant! We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for more than just an average cake.

We chose White Rose Bakery for our Wedding Cake this past summer, and my husband and I were kind of in a bind for where we should get our cake. After hearing a lot of word of mouth about WRB, we figured it wouldn't hurt to try it out. Not only did it have the most flavorful frosting, but the taste of the cake was just so wonderful. Great texture and it was exactly what we were looking for. Our guests couldn't get enough. Usually you a lot of cake left over, but we were left with practically nothing to bring back with us! I would recommend White Rose Bakery any day for any occasion.

We met with Debra and the cakes we tasted were amazing and she seemed very excited about designing our cupcake cake. She was great about finding the wrapper colors we needed and making our cake unique and fun. We picked three flavors and were told two would have fillings. Once we got our cupcake cake all the cupcakes were very dry and none had filling in them. She also overcharged us and after we realized it and told her she said she would bring the money we overpaid to the venue the day of the wedding, but we never saw the money we overpaid she never gave it to us. It was very disapponting, our guests barely ate the cupcakes and there were lots of half eaten ones laying around. We definitly did not get what we paid for.

Debra's cakes are amazing! I was so pleased with the outcome! She has such great ideas, and her work can't be matched. Our cake was really one of a kind. Debra really took the time to get the feel for the cake we wanted, and she really delivered!

Our wedding cake from White Rose bakery was gorgeous. I was so pleased with the way it turned out and especially the way it tasted...I'm still craving it! Our guests were impressed and we received more compliments on the cake than my dress. Debra was helpful and her cake made our day even more special. She is truly a cake artist.

Debra is amazing at what she does. I love how she truly cares about what you want. She's very professional, yet personal at the same time. Her ingredients were all fresh and I believe that really made a difference in how wonderful the cake tasted. She also blasted the fear of fondant out of my head. It tasted wonderful with my cake! I had 4 different flavors for each layer and everyone loved them! I had a guest who is a fancy restaurant owner in Portland. He sampled every layer and couldn't come up with one single thing to complain about... and food is that guys life! If you want an amazingly flavorful wedding cake White Rose is the place to go!

My husband and I were married in a remote location (where he had proposed!) and so our cake order and delivery were rather complicated. We wanted a woodland themed cake, whimsical and fun and it had to be delivered almost six miles on a dirt road! Debra gave us exactly what we wanted! Our guest kept commenting on how beautiful the cake was and it was so good that there was only two slices left! She is easy to work with, fun and willing to go the extra mile to do something different. We were so glad we found her!

I am not sure that this vendor was worth the hassle. The cake turned out fabulous and tasted great but the bakery was not the most pleasant to work with. Because I was out of state finishing up my last semester of college my mom met with this vendor without me. She said she was pleasant and she offered samples of most of the cake flavors. My mom picked out two flavors, showed her a picture of the exact cake I wanted, and gave her a rough estimate of the number of people to feed. All had gone smoothly. When I had finished school I came back to Salem and wanted to taste the two flavors she had chosen for myself. I contacted the vendor and she told me she would send me some samples through the mail. They never arrived and after that we could not get in contact with her. We tried calling, leaving messages, e-mailing, but we never heard back. We started to get a little worried since we had already paid our deposit and the wedding was only a few weeks away. Finally after weeks of trying to get a hold of her she returned our calls. When we asked her about the samples she said she had sent them, sorry they didn’t arrive, and that was that. I never got to taste the flavors before the wedding. There was also some confusion about the number of guests to feed and we had to spend some time working this out with her. I do not think working with this vendor was worth the money, although we did end up with a very pretty cake!

Debra was amazing! She helped us design the perfect cake and even assisted with flowers and ribbon colors. Our cake was perfect, even better than we had hoped. It was the hit of the reception. Even though we had fewer guests that we expected all the cake was eaten, it was wonderful. We highly recommend the chocolate raspberry cake and the Dulce de Leche. If you want a beautiful cake that tastes amazing you should call her!

The cakes at the tasting were AMAZING! However, come my wedding day, the entire bottom layer, which was the largest was absolutley horrible! Guests had half eaten pieces laying around,and quite a few made comments. It had no flavor, and was very dry
My mother in law, since we were on our honeymoon, returned the tray and let her know. The whole cake was dry, but only the bottom was un-ediable. I emailed Deb, and she apologized, and offered to send us a cake to enjoy. We just recieved it in the mail. It was great, until we refrigerated it. We had some again for desert that night, and it was the same horrible lackluster of flavor we experienced at the wedding. Something happens to her cakes when they are refrigerated.

On a side note, I have to say to be fair, her cakes and designs are the most flawless that I have found. I had a design in mind, which was executed PERFECTLY! The guests that said how tasteless the cake was, did follow it up with it was the most beautiful they had seen. So if you are going for a extravagant looking cake, flawless, I would recommend the cake( only the caramel and tiramisu) However, if you are looking for taste, I wouldn't overly recommend this company.

My husband and I were married in 2005, but the cake is one of the things that I personally remember the most. I gave Deb the general idea and feel of what we were going for with our wedding, and the flavors I wanted, and she made a masterpiece! She was really easy to work with, personable, and very reliable! I loved our anniversary cake she made for us the following year, she's just very unique in the way she runs her business! I had multiple friends get married that also used White Rose Bakery... and they loved her as well! I love love love this bakery!

As the MOTB, I have great things to say about Debra's Wedding Cake experience. The tasting event was set at home with a generous sample of every cake one could imagine. Each sample was unique and flavorful, resulting in a flavor for each layer. The Wedding day was perfect and the cake certainly was the highlight of the day. I personally loved the red velvet portion, but have since developed a liking for the butter cream/vanilla flavored cake. Debra is creative and was willing to accommodate our most unique wedding event in more than one location at the last minute.

My wife and I were married 4 years ago from this past June. One of my many fond memories is of Debras amazing wedding cake she provided for us. With all the vendors we hired she really seemed to stand out as not only the most professional, but also was really easy to work with. I know my wife appreciated how easy it was for her to contact White Rose Bakery and always got a prompt response. The tasting was amazing too as she had freshly made many of her most popular flavors for us to try. As the groom this was definetly the highlight of my wedding planning experience. All I can say is that normally I'm not a big fan of wedding cake but I had both a piece of the chocolate layer, super yummy, and cheesecake, to die for. I would recommend her to any family or friend who was getting married. Hell I'd recommend getting married in the Portland area just so you could use her!

My husband and I were married in August of 2002, and for our 5th wedding anniversary we ordered a cake from Debra at White Rose Bakery. We had recently moved, yet she was kind enough to send it to us in Washington. She put so much care into packaging it that it was still fresh and in perfect condition when it arrived (as if she had delivered it in person!) Not only was it beautiful, it was as she says "simply scrumptious!" Her fondant, which is homemade, is the best I've ever tasted. She made a special anniversary even more special for us - we will continue to order our cakes from her!

Every time I have worked with White Rose Bakery they have provided the most beautiful cakes, awesome service and every bride has been thrilled with the results! I love working with people who are true professionals and gifted at what they do!

If you thought wedding cakes were just about looks, think again. White Rose bakery cakes are not only the most beautiful and creative that I've seen, but also the best tasting. Always fresh, moist and the most original flavor combinations I've ever tasted. I'm not a cake eater but I never pass up a slice of White Rose Bakery wedding cakes!
