White Satin Bridal

A friend referred me to White Satin. The salon is beautiful and I was sure there would be nothing in my budget. I was pleasantly surprised that the gowns are very reasonably priced and the selection was incredible. The customer service is top notch. They even have a seamstress who works on the premises who is a miracle worker. I would definitely refer anyone looking for a wedding dress or an evening gown to White Satin!

Love this place!!! I must have went there at least 4 times before settling on a dress and they were awesome each time! The ladies that own and run the place are great- very friendly and attentive! Once I finally decided on a gown, I found it cheaper somewhere else but White Satin price matched it for me! I also purchased my vail and a custom designed necklace from there. My dress was also altered by them and it was perfect, worry free and quick! Thanks ladies!

I would recommend that everyone make an appointment to try on bridal gowns at White Satin Bridal. They are unlike any large chain retailer. They only accept a few appointments at a time, which makes finding your dress less stressful. It is a very cute boutique style store. They have dresses in all prices ranges so you will be able to find something that meets your budget.

If you have already purchased your dress, make sure you stop in to check out their accessories. I looked around everywhere but found they had the highest quality and best priced jewerly. I purchased my jewerly & veil at the store.

I love this place! Robin and Sarah, the owners, both spend time actually consulting in the store, and they are great. They know their stuff, and Robin especially is super nice. I almost didn't check this place out because Plainfield was a bit of a drive, but I'm glad I did. They have a decently sized selection with designers like Mori Lee, Enzoani, and Casablanca, and lots of different styles. The customer service here is top notch, and the prices are great. David's Bridal is not the only place you can get dresses for under $1000! They only have two sashes/belts in the store, though, so don't come here to look for accessories (though they do have a ton of jewelry). Also, I got my alterations done here with Willie, who did a fantastic job. I had a lot of work done (side seams, belt, bra cups, bustle, hem) and the price was incredible. I was able to schedule the fittings and appointments pretty much whenever I was available, and they are very flexible. Overall, the service, flexibility, prices, and beautiful gowns here definitely make it a stop during your dress search.

I absolutely loved this bridal shop and the dress that I bought! I primarily worked with Sarah (helped me find the perfect dress) and Willie (did the alterations perfectly!) Everyone at the shop is so helpful and nice, they really listen to what you are saying and give you great service. I was also able to stay within my budget with no problem!

The alterations were excellent and reasonably priced. Although my dress came with one bustle, it was definitely not enough because the sides were not being held up well. Willie added several bustles with color coded ribbons so it would be easy for my MOH to do, and explained it to us very clearly. All in all, a great shop that I highly recommend!

I bought my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses from White Satin Bridal. Robin was absolutely fantastic but so so is everyone that works there! I highly recommend White Satin to any bride that is looking for the perfect wedding dress experience!

Both my sister and I purchased our bridal gowns from White Satin Bridal. After going with my sister here, I could not have imagined purchasing my gown elsewhere. Both my sister's bridesmaids and mine also purchased their dresses here. In addition, our mom bought her gown for both of our weddings here as well. We were absolutely in love with this shop and couldn't imagine spending our time or money at another location. They were so attentive and nice, such a relaxed, warm atmosphere - we loved it. It is a one stop shop - gown, bridesmaids dresses, mother of the bride (and groom!) dresses, veils, headpieces, jewelry - they have it all! I recommend them to all of my newly engaged friends.

I absolutely loved working with White Satin Bridal. They were so helpful and the ladies that work there are so sweet. They recognized us every time we went to the salon. I purchased my dress and the bridesmaids' dresses through White Satin. My mother also purchased her dress there as well. Overall the quality is great, the selection is great and the customer service is outstanding. I have and will continue recommend going to the salon. The price for the dress I purchased was less than I expected--even with all the beading and detail work. This is a great place to check out and purchase your dress. We had Sulah work on the alterations and she was fantastic.

I just loved my wedding dress! They were so easy to work with too! I just had an overall great experience!

I bought my gown from David's Bridal, although I really wanted to buy it from Jean at White Satin. She was great! They let me bring my dress from outside to have one of their girls do the fittings. We also ordered our bridesmaids dresses here, and although they cost more than I would have liked, they were fully customized and my girls looked so beautiful!

I absolutely loved White Satin and the staff -- Emily, and the owner, Robin -- were great working with me and my girls! The dress I chose was so perfect that I knew as soon as I saw it on...Emily had been there for all of my fittings before and was so supportive and kind. My sister and mother and I all thought Emily was very professional and honest when I had questions about the fit, the bustle and the comfort of the dress. I also liked that when I returned with bridesmaids, Robin measured some of them and did not call out people's sizes -- that was very professional and thoughtful. Some of the shops I had visited north of Plainfield were very haughty, rude or non-caring to my wedding party, which is ridiculous! It can be very hard to try on dresses and the last thing people need is a rude staff person, making them feel bad.

The quality of sample dresses were much better at White Satin than anywhere else -- no tatters, tears or strings hanging off the dresses. The set up of the shop is inviting -- no rows of intimidating dressed to get lost in, and no feeling like the brides there are being rounded up by hectic staff, to "get in and out."

This shop does not employ seamstresses but refers out to 3 women who use the shop on location for fittings/adjustments.
As far as feedback on seamstress quality, we used Sulah for my bridal gown and for my maid of honor, and as were very pleased. My bridesmaids, however, preferred the work of Willie for their hems and straps that had to be added. Those who did not use Willie showed me the day after the wedding, that the hems of their dresses (2) were completely let out and frayed-looking. One bridesmaid who had a wider, one-shoulder strap added, seemed to have the front portion of the strap flipping up on the bust and an obvious seam right across the clavicle. This could not been seen in pictures, but in person, so not a huge deal, but not great for $65+ in alterations! This brings down my score for "Value for Cost" as well as "Quality of Service."

Overall, I am very pleased with my gown and had several compliments that day. I hope to wear it on our 1 year anniversary and celebrate again!! I LOVED MY DRESS :)

I had a great bridal dress shopping experience here, especially compared to some other HUGE department stores. Everyone that works there gets emotional and excited with you and they really care about you and your special day!

My entire wedding party worked with White Satin, and for the most part we were completely happy with them. There were a few mishaps, but the shop handled them really well and worked with us to get our problems resolved.

This was the first place that I went to shop for my dress, and I actually ended up buying the very first dress I tried on. It was actually a dress that Sarah, one of the owners, picked out for me. I totally fell in love with it. They have three seamstresses on staff there that do all their alteration work for them. I worked with Willie on the few alterations to my dress, and she did a fantastic job.

We also ordered all of my bridesmaids' dresses from WSB. They offer a 15% discount on everything additional that you order after you buy your dress there, so that helped keep the cost down on the dresses we ordered. All of the dresses came in beautifully and early. They even shipped two of the dresses to my bridesmaids that live out of town. For the most part, all of the alterations on these dresses went smoothly as well. My sister's dress wasn't done properly, but she was the only one that worked with a certain seamstress. I totally wouldn't fault WSB for this, as the worked really hard to get it fixed when it was A. late coming back from the seamstress and B. not finished. If you want reliable seamstress work from them, work with Willie or Grace. :)

My mother and my mother-in-law both purchased their dresses from WSB. My mother's dress was beautiful and came in with no problems. Grace did an great job with the alterations, and even made a new jacket for her when the first one didn't fit quite right. Our second minor snag came with my mother-in-law's dress. When it came in, the color that we thought we ordered was definitely not what was delivered. Again, the shop worked really hard to help her find a version of the dress in town that was the right color, and is helping to sell the wrong one.

Overall, I was really happy with pretty much everything at WSB. Both of the owners, Robin and Sarah, worked really hard (even when they were both super pregnant! or carrying around infants!) to make sure everything was perfect for my wedding.

The owners, Robin and Sarah, of this cute Bridal shop make future brides feel like a princess!!! I was not looking forward to dress shopping and Robin made trying on wedding dresses so fun and something I will never forget!!! I had another appointment after my one at White Satin and when I was leaving Robin told me to give her a call if I wanted to come back and dress on the dress I found....I called and she stayed late just for me to come back! The prices are great and all my bridesmaids loved their dresses as well which were very affordable!
