Cheramie was the officiant for our wedding and we just loved her. She met with us a few months before the wedding to plan everything out. She incorporated everything we discussed. We planned the rest via email and it worked out wonderfully. She was very easy going and very professional. She even officiated our wedding 7 months pregnant! So you know she cares and is passionate about what she does. I'd definitely recommend WLC!

We had Cheramie officiate our wedding and were very pleased. The ceremony was beautiful and she was extremely professional. She was an absolute pleasure to do business with and I would suggest that anyone use her for their officiant.

We chose last minute not to have a rehearshal with the officiant and we got a discount price back. Clinton Hopper was true to his word when he stated his voice projected loud enough. I had an outdoor ceremony overlooking the Bay of Galveston and it was very, very windy. We also had a handfasting ceremony which he performed and became such a highlight of our ceremony that guests complimented us on the ritual. The wording was perfect not overly religious but kept it minimal and stayed true to our commitment of marriage. Thank you Clinton!

Are you willing to perform a ceremony at a non-religious site?

Absolutely; the location of your wedding, the environment in which you will join your life with another should reflect your tastes and aesthetic.

What is your attire for the ceremony?

The style of wedding and the desire of the couple drive our choice of attire. Normally we wear dark clothes, Cheramie a dress and Clinton a suit with tie, though we will wear a clerical collar if you wish. We also have black robes available. 

If your wedding calls for it, we are also happy to dress according to a theme or location. Our goal is to serve your vision.

Are you flexible in the wording used throughout the ceremony, including the vows?

We hope you will feel comfortable to collaborate with us to make your wedding ritual as unique as you are. There are many wonderful things about the wedding ceremony as it normally exists, but it can be very touching and fun to start from the ground up when creating your event.

Do you allow the couple to write their own vows, if desired?

Yes.

Do you have a list of readings pre-selected, from which the couple must choose?

No. We have an enormous wealth of religious and non-religious material from which we can draw, but it serves as a resource for beginning the process of writing your ceremony, not a limit.


How long are your ceremonies?

Each service is different, but most full weddings last between thirty minutes and an hour, while elopement weddings can occur in less than twenty minutes. Vow renewals usually mirror weddings at between half an hour and an hour.

Do you require that premarital counseling be done?

No, but we highly recommend that you do so if possible. Pre-wedding counseling is an opportunity to have a facilitated dialogue with your partner in which all aspects of your future life together can be discussed. It is a good way to broach subjects that may be uncomfortable in another, more common conversation. The presence of the facilitator helps to guide the talk and provide both halves of the couple a safe place from which to learn about the other and themselves as a partner.

We are happy to help you find a counselor or facilitator, or to meet with you ourselves. The meetings are scheduled in hour-long blocks in the weeks and months before the wedding. If Rev. Cheramie is performing your wedding, we normally recommend that Rev. Clinton facilitate the pre-wedding dialogue, and vice versa. 

One meeting: $65/hr
Two or more meetings: $50/hr

Are you willing to perform pre-ceremony rehearsals?

We hope you will choose to do so. The day of the wedding should be fun and as calm as possible for you and your wedding party. The better prepared you are for the event, the better chance you can relax and enjoy the day. We can meet for a rehearsal a day or two before the wedding, or on the day of, a few hours before the service.

Rehearsals ahead of the date: $90

Do you supply a sound system?

We have both a sound system and small lighting system available for a fee. There are a variety of other wedding supplies we can provide as well: 

PA System: $75
Lighting System: $175 (Control Board, 6 Instruments, Cables)
Lighting Operator: $25/hr (Required with Lighting System) 
Wedding Arbor: $125
Chairs: $2.50/ea (50 Available)
Arbor and 50 Chairs: $225
