Whyte Icing Specialty Cakes

Whyte Icing provided the cake for our wedding. Jennifer was very easy to work with. She provided yummy samples and had a tremendous amount of photos available. The cake we received was EXACTLY what we wanted and both flavors were moist and truly delicious. It was very special...not just another pretty cake. She worked with my venue and my florist to make sure the cake was presented just as we expected. I would very strongly recommend her services.

Due to our surprise pregnancy (yay!) we ended up deciding to move our wedding date, Jennifer was very accomodating and even provided a second cake tasting since our second meeting ended up being almost a year after the first. Our wedding cake was stunning! It was based off of a picture I saw on Martha Stewart weddings with ferns, acorns, and tiny mushrooms on it. She also added a last minute request for a "wood" heart with our initials carved into it without a problem. It was as delicious to eat as it was beautiful. We got the almond cake with raspberry preserve filling. Easily the most moist wedding cake I've ever had. All of our guests said it was fantastic!

Jennifer was great to work with, my cake not only turned out awesome, it tasted great too. I loved it. We also had her make a Maryland blue crab cake for my husband as a surprise for our rehearsal dinner and everyone was blown away at how good it was. She is also very reasonably priced. I will go back to her whenever I need another cake for any other occassion.

Unprofessionalism is the reason we didn't go with Whyte Icing. The cakes were beautiful, the price was right but unfortunately every time I had to deal with Jennifer, I got the feeling she felt like she was doing me a favor by taking my money. She always acted like she was too busy for me and my small cake (I have a small wedding) and I don't want a cake not made with love. I passed solely because of her demeanor not because of the cake.

Edit to add: Upon finding this review, Jennifer emailed me a lengthy letter apologizing and explaining how she is a one woman business working for a labor of love. I also own my own business but know that customer service is king. Service in the wedding industry should be the gold standard and finding a review should not be what you need to make you act gracious to your potential customers.

The cake that she provided was exactly as we had wanted. It was delicious too! We would recommend her to others!

Jennifer was very easy to work with. The cake looked exactly like she had described, which was a replica of my dress and bouquet. It was also the best wedding cake I have ever had.

We had 4 different flavors of cake at our wedding, all were absolutely delicious and so moist! On top of that, the appearance of the cakes was better than I had ever imagine, it was exactly what I had envisioned...and the groom's cake was a very detailed and intricate cake, done to perfection! We got so many compliments on both the appearance and taste of the cake!

Jennifer did a great job at working around my schedule to meet on the wedding cake details. She was thorough with her questions as to what I would like for my cake and she was very knowledgeable about the business.

Compared to other wedding cake specialists, she was reasonable in her price and was able to provide me several options in order to help me stay within my budget.

We were absolutely thrilled with Whyte Icing Specialty Cakes. Originally we had ordered just a wedding cake. Later on I decided to surprise my fiancée with a groom's cake. Jennifer was completely accommodating with my last minute groom's cake request and it turned out terrific! Both cakes looked fantastic, tasted incredible, and were VERY affordable! Everyone who attended the wedding still comments on how nice the cakes looked and how delicious they were. Many people have said it was the best wedding cake they've ever had. Quite a compliment to Whyte Icing Specialty Cakes!

Whyte Icing did a fabulous job on our cake. Many of our guests said it was the best cake they ever had (try the chocolate with chocolate truffle icing). They do any type of icing, cake, and design you want. They can do anything! Also, the cake was made to look exactly how I wanted it. I showed a picture of how I wanted the cake and the finished product looked better than I imagined! Also, real roses were placed around each tier and made the cake look AMAZING! Prices are reasonable as well. If you want the PERFECT cake for your special day that looks and tastes amazing, use Whyte Icing, I promise you will not be disappointed!

Our first encounter with Jennifer Whyte was at the Jaffa Shrine Wedding Extravaganza. My husband is a chocoholic and was totally thrilled with her wedding cake samples she had provided for the event. My thoughts were...okay we've got an awesome cake here but what about design. Seeing Jennifer's samples on display and additional photos completely impressed me. The other very impressive thing she did was set up an appointment with us in our home to go over every last detail (i.e. decoration for center of cake and topper, design, quantity, colors, flavors). Jennifer is first class in her personal and professional demeanor and takes on a serious commitment to providing the ultimate in wedding cakes. It was as if it was her very own wedding cake! My husband and I can honestly say SHE IS AWESOME and we are still having comments about "that wedding cake at your wedding was the best I have ever had". Jennifer has a photo of our cake on her website in the wedding cake gallery on page four. The cake is four tiers, red roses with ivory and white icing with the carriage and topper. With that said, Jennifer will always have our future business and my husband and I recommend her services to anyone who wants to have quality AND beauty.
