Met Alice at a bridal show in Laramie, and quickly feel in love with her personality! My husband and I met with her soon there after and decided she was a perfect fit for our outdoor wedding at St. Alban’s Chapel. She was familiar with the area and also familiar with where to set up for the wedding. Alice had a great selection of music to choose from, and came very prepared and rehearsed for our Monday wedding day. We have received SO many compliments from our wedding guests; I wouldn’t be surprised to see her show up at someone else’s wedding we know.

About Wind and Roses, LLC

Alice Freeman is a classically trained harpist providing elegant live music for weddings, receptions, banquets and other celebrations in Wyoming, western Nebraska and northern Colorado. Alice’s repertoire of classical, popular, and Celtic music will provide a lovely ambiance to compliment your special occasion. Amplification makes the harp sound easily heard in all outdoor or noisy locations. Sacred music is available for weddings, funerals and other ecclesiastical events. Medieval, Renaissance, and folk music from the British Isles is performed in period costumes. Programs on the Irish harp and the history of Irish harp music in America have been presented for schools and clubs.

Alice has been a member of the University of Wyoming Symphony Orchestra since 1999 and is a current member of the American Harp Society, the International Society of Folk Harpers and Craftsmen, the Scottish Harp Society of America, the Colorado Celtic Harp Society, the Cimbalom World Association (hammered dulcimer) and works with Hospice as a Certified Healing Musician. Alice plays a pedal harp, traditional Celtic folk harp or hammered dulcimer, depending on the occasion.

Formal concert black, evening gowns or tea-length dresses, or costumes appropriate for time period or event (Victorian, Medieval, Renaissance, etc.)

Do you offer live sample performances or CDs?

Yes

How much time do you usually need for setup?

30-45 minutes most of the year; 60 minutes in winter since the harp must acclimate to changes in temperature in order to stay in tune.

How much space do you usually require?

4-feet wide by 6-feet deep.

Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?

50.5-cents per mile plus $10 per hour for travel time (calculated on round-trip mileage and time).
