Wine Country Flowers

Flowers were a wild card for our wedding. We were working on a very tight budget, my wife and I are both into very simple, super modern arrangements but neither of us knew exactly what we wanted our flowers to look like. After almost a month of looking, we hadn't found anything or anyone in our price range or to our liking and then - just like that! - we ran across Anita at Wine Country Flowers. I think Anita was a flower in a previous life. She knows the pros and cons of literally every species of flower on the planet and her portfolio is really diverse (country to modern to eclectic). After explaining to her what sort of colors and styles we liked, she began pulling photos of arrangements she'd done in the past. We quickly found a number of things we liked and Anita worked with us to change things up and really make the arrangements our own.

Looking back on our big day, my wife and I loved all of the flowers, but our centerpieces - in particular - were in a class all their own. A number of people told us they were the most dramatic arrangements they'd ever seen! They were the highlight/hero of our decor, made a serious statement about our design sense, and Anita rocked 'em! So, if you're looking for a creative, friendly, flexible, extremely talented florist head to Wine Country Flowers. You won't be dissapointed.

Brad and I got married in August 2009 at the Mark West Lodge and Hummingbird Gardens in Santa Rosa. We decided to use their recommended vendors because we figured that the venue's endorsement of a vendor means a lot. That is what led us to Anita at Wine Country Flowers. She completely surpassed all of my expectations. When I met with her months before the wedding, all I knew was that I wanted to incorporate wine colors (burgandy, rose, etc) into the color scheme.

At our initial meeting she showed me tons of pictures of flowers and helped me identify what kind of blooms I wanted. She never once pushed me towards more expensive flowers which I really appreciated. She suggested adding a lime green hue into the color scheme to make it a bit more summery. She was never pushy, she just made the suggestion. I loved it.! She basically inspired the color scheme for everything. She was able to help me visualize the wedding. The bouquets for myself and my bridesmaid were made up of calla lilies, roses and kermits and they were gorgeous! She made each of our centerpieces slightly different from the next which was so unique. She also decorated the huppah that we got married under and that was beautiful.

The day of the wedding I barely knew she was there. She was in and out and never once came to me with a question or problem because she makes sure everything is sorted out before the big day. She has you fill out a questionnaire before your first meeting and then once you meet and make decisions she sends you a detailed proposal, so that nothing is left up in the air. At the last minute we decided to add an extra table and she had no problem adding the extra centerpiece to our order.

I would highly recommend Anita to anyone. She does a fantastic job!

I LOVE Anita!! If you're getting married in wine country and have a decent budget, then you MUST meet with Anita. I promise you won't be sorry. Anita was the most organized of all of the vendors we met. She has you complete a questionnaire before meeting, so that when you do she already has a good feel for what you like. Her proposal was about 12 pages long and so incredibly detailed. We knew exactly what our décor and flowers would look like, which gave me great peace of mind. But she still exceeded our expectations. Our wedding flowers blew my mind! They were everything I wanted and more. I can't wait to see more pictures so I can take it all in. Everything was stunning and created exactly the ambiance I wanted. A++++

Everything the others have written about Anita is true! In 2005, we found Anita and knew right away that she was our top choice for flowers. She is down to earth and creative, listens to you, and delivers on everything from that instant first impression your guests receive as they arrive, down to the smallest details you would never even begin to think of.

My favorite thing about Anita is that she was real with us, and talked about details and choices that would allow us to stay in our budget while creating the image we wanted. I brought her a picture from a card and said "I want this for my bouquet and this is my budget." She looked at it and walked me through how available and how expensive these flowers would be, and what types of alternatives we could use that might be more readily available, as well as ways to extend this bouquet look to the rest of the wedding flowers (which I had thought much less about). She did a spectacular job with this freedom and I always felt comfortable with her confidence and direction, whereas with other vendors I felt I had to specify things down to the smallest detail. Not only did we love our flowers, we got numerous compliments from our guests about them, too!

Wine Country Flowers can a turn a shrub into a spectacular centerpeice! they did a phenomenal job for our wedding! Anita, the designer, has an incredible of sense of style & innovation when it comes to her floral designs! We had no clue what we wanted. We did, however, know that we didn't want plain 'ol flower vases filled with marbles sitting on top of mirrors. We wanted something unique that represented our style. Our knowledge of flowers is minimal, and I'm ashamed to admit mine is minuscule! But Anita has a talent of creating a vision that brings your wedding to life. We felt confident that when all was said and done she would design something that we would love and of course did. She introduced us to flora I didn't even know existed!

Other than the flowers, something that we were VERY pleased with was that, Anita/Wine Country Flowers is VERY familiar with so many different venues & vendors. Through her we found an amazing cake designer and a great DJ. She became a reliable resource of information for us. Every time we spoke with her we felt better about decisions we were making about the ceremony & reception. As you'll learn, planning your wedding can get a little chaotic with details to remember, so its comforting to know that you're dealing with professionals that know what their doing and love it!

I am not sure I can say enough about Anita with Wine Country Flowers. Anyone who says flowers are not a high priority for a wedding is crazy. Anita listened to my ideas and got a feel for what I liked and what I didn't like. They were beyond my expectations. When it is all said and done, the things that people remember most is the food and the flowers. DON'T SKIMP ON THE FLOWERS!!! The flowers were a huge part of my decor for the day, and the price was very reasonable. Walking in to her office I was uncertain and overwhelmed by the planning, but Anita helped me with a vision and made it very easy. I was completely taken care of.

Wine Country Flowers did an absolutely amazing job for our wedding. When I first met with Anita, we instantly clicked and she understood what I was going for. I told her the flowers I like and dislike and gave her the freedom to create the bouquets and centerpieces. I was blown away with the attention to detail and the extra touches that she puts into her work. The bouquets were unbelievable, the color of the flowers just popped and the handles were wrapped in beatiful ribbon and crystals. She created the most romantic atmosphere for our reception with high and low centerpieces; with over 300 votive candles the ballroom glowed. Our guests were amazed with the flowers and how great they made the church and our reception site look.

Anita, the designer, did an incredible job for our spring wedding in Sonoma County. She is so creative and her designs are classy and elegant while still being fun. This was a destination wedding, so it was very important to us to be ultra comfortable with all our vendors being 1,000 miles away (Colorado). Flowers were not at the top of my list, but the creations she came up with were so breathtaking! They were one of my favorite parts of the wedding. Anita was extremely organized from the start. We were able to meet with her a few months before the wedding to go over our (my ;-)) vision. My bouquet was more than perfect. She respected our budget and we found some amazing solutions to our constraints. The best part was the archway she designed. It was 2 large potted flower arrangements with a gorgeous archway connecting the two pots and it was made out of branches. What a sight! Anita is also so grrat to work with. She is fun and really enjoys what she does. Anybody getting married in NorCal MUST use Wine Country Flowers for their florals and decor. You won't be disappointed!

Anita's arrangements were gorgeous! She was organized and professional which definitely helped since I was planning my wedding from Newport Beach. I always received a fast response when I emailed her with questions and I felt her prices were extremely fair. I highly recommend Wine Country Flowers!

Anita did the best job on my wedding! She was one of the easiest vendors to work with. She listened and helped come up with creative ideas. Other vendors simply asked what I wanted but didn't really try to inspire me with any ideas. Her prices were also very reasonable. People are still raving about my centerpieces and the way that the entire room looked.

I'm the type of person who LOVES all types of flowers and colors, so when it came to picking flowers for my wedding, I felt like this was one impossible task!! Anita at Wine Country Flowers was so patient, helpful, kind, talented and incredibly innovative. Anita worked with me and my husband to get an idea of our style, our tastes and the tone of our wedding. Anita captured our style and tastes perfectly using rich purple hues (like Zinfandel wine), vibrant greens, and crisp whites. She created the most beautiful bouquets and arrangements that I've ever seen. They were even more beautiful than I could've ever dreamed of. I promise you, if you go to Anita you will not regret it!!

Working with Anita was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The flowers she created for our wedding at Viansa were gorgeous and exceeded my highest expectations. I was not a bride who placed a particular emphasis on flowers during the planning stages, but Anita's flowers turned out to be one of my favorite aspects of the wedding. The flowers set the tone for the day and elicited so many compliments from our guests! As an out-of-town bride planning a wedding 3,000 miles away, I relied heavily on my vendors, and Anita really pulled through for me. She coordinated phone calls with me and was always prompt and thorough with her email responses. I gave Anita a few vague guidelines regarding the style and color scheme of our wedding, and then asked her to take over creative control. I am so glad I did that! The flowers at our wedding were a perfect realization of my vision, and I loved my bouquet so much that I refused to throw it out for a week and a half after the wedding. Now I am waiting for our pictures. Anita has the rare and invaluable talent of knowing what you want better than you yourself do. We are so lucky to have worked with Anita!

Anita and her staff are amazing! Our flowers were out of this world. She created the most amazing setting for our wedding. Everyone commented on how "magical" and "romantic" our reception looked--and most of that was because of the centerpieces Anita created. She is a true artist--but fortunatley she's also a very professional businesswoman. She responded to my emails at all hours of the day and night! I highly recommend Wine Country Flowers!

Anita is definitely top notch when it comes to flowers! The service and excellence I received from her was greater than anything that I could have hoped for from a vendor. I had to plan this wedding from halfway across the country and could not have pulled it off so well without her knowledge and expertise. After just giving her some colors and flower types to work with, she was able to pull off some of the most beautiful arrangements I have ever seen! Even without giving her much direction, she was somehow able to create the exact vision that I had for my wedding and truly created a memorable event. I still to this day receive comments from friends and family on how they had never seen more beautiful flowers and arrangements than at my wedding. I would highly recommend her to every future bride that is getting married out in wine country!

Anita of WCF is one of the most hard working and meticulous people I have ever met. She was the one vendor I knew I could count on to come through on her promises. And frankly, her work far exceeded our expectations! Anita has an incredible aesthetic and sense of style. Her work is sophisticated and elegant, and could be on the cover of Brides. Most of all, her rates are very reasonable compared to other vendors in the wine country. I highly recommend her bamboo chuppah and her manzanita trees. Her website is top-notch and very representative of her work. She will make your wedding fabulous!! Guaranteed.

You are amazing! The flowers were fabulous! You created a absolute
beautiful ceremony site, and the table centerpieces were over the top in
design and beauty. I looked out the doorway, down the stairs, down the
aisle to the archway, and it was a creation of beauty and romance. I just
don't have the words for how I felt when I reached the bottom of the stairs
and looked down the aisle. The urns at the foot of the stairs were lavish,
the iron stands wrapped in vines and flowers lined the aisle for the walk of
a lifetime. The bridesmaids, lovely bouquets in hand, their satin cinnamon
dresses flowing, the urns at the foot of the stairway, and the iron stands
that lined the aisle, made for a beautiful garden walk that could have been
the fall ad for Bride's magazine. And their really are not words for Jodi
and her Dad's walk. It was genuinely a fairy tale, with her vibrant bouquet
in hand, a smile on her face, her father by her side, she walked down the
stairs to a wonderland fantasy of flower, color, and romance. You created a
very special day for our lovely daughter. We can't thank you enough for
creating a memorable wedding fantasy that every bride dreams of.

GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS flowers. The flowers at our wedding were a "knock-out". I cried when I saw my bouquet and then when I saw our wedding site, I was blown away. The colors were just what I had asked for and all of our pieces far exceeded my expectations. Our wedding looked so lush and beautiful. Every detail we discussed was exactly how I envisioned it. The huge urns on pillars (as our altar, in place of the arch) were especially stunning. They looked like amazing artwork. Seriously, the flowers are what make the day the festive special occasion that your wedding day should be (in "my book"), and our flowers were superb and just breathtaking. All of our wedding guests and even the other vendors and staff at our venue commented on how incredible they were. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! PS-I am framing several pictures of just our flowers for a collage of frames in our house so I can always see them.

Anita is just fabulous to work with! She sat me down and listened to my ideas and went through some different photos/books to get an idea of what I liked and did not! By the end of our meeting we had the most gorgeous bouquet that no one can stop raving about! Everyone keeps saying how unbelievable the tables, the Adobe Mission looked with candles and flowers, the cake and the alter!! Anita did not miss any details at all and made sure everything was perfect! I would recommend her to anyone since is the best aand doesn't miss any details at all!

Anita's work is truly amazing! Typically guys don't really care about the flowers at their wedding. Before my wedding, I don't think I ever noticed the flowers that people chose for their weddings. With Anita it was different....

We had our wedding at Viansa in September 2006. My wife hired Anita because she liked what she had seen of her work. From the pictures we had seen, there was no way to tell how creative and imaginative she was. I am convinced that the flowers set the mood for the entire night.

When we walked into the tent, it was dark outside, and the candles were lit inside. It was magnificent, there was an amber glow about the room, as the candle light reflected the color of the flowers. The arrangements Anita had created were so unique, there were red flowers and tea lights on the branches of the centerpieces. It felt like a dream because the room was so warm and inviting. I will forever remember the beautiful glow of the red and orange flowers, and the warm feeling that emitted from them. I have spoken with others that attended the wedding, and they also said that there was a very special feeling in the tent that night. I truly feel that our wedding would not have been the same without the vibrant creativity of Anita's arrangements.

It is funny that I have gone from a person that never noticed flowers or table arrangements at weddings, to someone that now notices that first. I always compare what I see at weddings to the arrangements that we had, and none compare. I would recommend her services to anyone looking for a memory and experience that will last forever. My fiancé and I interviewed several companies for our wedding floral arraignments. We left many of those meetings shaking our heads and feeling disappointed. The very first time we met Anita with Wine Country Flowers we knew that we had found someone very special. She inspired confidence in her abilities and made us feel that every detail in our wedding was as important to her as it was to us. I am a wedding photographer in S. Cal, so when I got married at Meadowood in Napa I did not know any florists in N. Cal. As you can imagine, being a wedding photographer, I have seen it all. I wanted something very unique and new exactly what I was looking for. Vintage, glamour...old hollywood...all white. After 10 min' into our meeting I knew she was my gal! Anita gave me exactly what I was looking for. I was so happy with her creativity and enthusiasm to do something different. We designed 2 white trees as one of the focal points into the ceremony.
I was really excited to see them on the day of the wedding, and when I first saw them they were even more beautiful than I had imagined. I also
sprung on her 2 weeks before the wedding that I wanted my chuppa extra large...10x10 or something (of course not the norm). Instead of freaking out because she already has something else arranged, she started over for me, without a complaint at all. After the wedding she thanked me for doing something different that she was excited about it!! It's totally great to work with wedding venders that still show great passion for their work! Anita created for us the wedding of our dreams! Our wedding was in June at Meadowood. Anita absolutely understood and shared my vision of what I wanted the atmosphere to be and she transformed the site into something I can only describe as magical! When I walked down the aisle covered with white rosepetals and saw the archway of flowers - orchids, hydrangea and peonies, I was absolutely thrilled! Anita and her staff were just fabulous to work with and always had everything under control. The flowers for my wedding were beyond my expectations. I was extremely pleased. Anita, the owner, was very helpful from step one. She sent us a questionnaire ahead of our first meeting which let her get to know us and our ideas so that she had something to go with when we first got there. She helped me narrow down types of flowers and unique ideas for the centerpieces. I knew the colors I wanted but wasn't sure what kinds of flowers would fit. When I walked into our wedding site on the day of the wedding and Anita was setting up, I couldn't help but smile. The room was GORGEOUS! And then I saw my bouquet...it was perfect! For me the hardest part was the unknown - although we had several conversations and meetings about flowers and I trusted Anita, I still wasn't exactly sure what I was going to see.
