I had a low budget DIY wedding and the Farmers Market was the perfect place for this. First of all it's a beautiful venue with a lot of character for a low price. Being owned by the city keeps the price down and if you're considering it I suggest you act fast because I booked my date 15 months in advance and someone took my original date only the day before I called. We had the ceremony and cocktail hour on the porch and the reception inside. Since everything is in one spot it makes it a lot easier for the DIY bride and I think hiring a DOC is not necessary. If you do have a lot of set up i would suggest buying an extra hour (normal rental is from 4-12), I had a lot but we made it work (it was a little stressful though). the switch over from ceremony to cocktail hour was a bit confusing for guests i think, make sure you have a plan and people to execute it for you. My plan was that everyone would follow us off the porch to the surrounding area while friends cleared the chairs. People didn't catch on and started moving the chairs themselves until we made an announcement. Over all it was an amazing space and everyone gave me a lot of compliments. Working with the facility was easy too, they returned e-mails and phone calls promptly and on the day of our site manager was very helpful (he dimmed the lights on request and sprang into action when I told him I need to add 2 charis).

The moment my husband and I walked into the Farmer's Market, we knew we had the right venue! It's a beautiful building that doubled as both our ceremony venue and our reception venue. We held our ceremony on the covered porch outside and the reception inside. The ambiance of the building was very natural, which is exactly how we are. We made one change after submitting our floor plan, and that was changing the first two tables to 10 people instead of 8 people. The tables weren't changed, but luckily, 4 people were MIA, so it worked out for the best!!

If I could give a 10 for value for cost I would absolutely give it! This is such a unique venue and fit our personalities so much better than a golf course or hotel venue. This is one of the only places we found in Orlando that let us use our own caterer which was huge to us since we wouldn't be locked into those oh you are using abc location that means your only option for food is xyz and they will charge you a ridiculous amount because you HAVE to use them.
Beware a Saturday wedding might take over a year for a free weekend, but TOTALLY worth the wait:)
It also worked really good for our 90 person guest list. Too many more than that and it would have felt really crowded.

This venue was perfect for our "Citrus/Vintage Florida" themed wedding and we loved the new hanging lights inside!

If I could give six stars for quality service and value I would. There's a reason why this place is so popular - your guests will LOVE the unique vibe, and the staff is top notch. Janet and Cindy at the City of Winter Park are very sweet and accommodating.

The WP Farmer's Market was the perfect venue for our wedding! It was charming and homey feeling and our guests had a great time! It's a total blank canvas so you have lots of freedom to organize the room they way you need to.

The WPFM was a unique place to host both our ceremony and reception. It was the perfect size for our 80 guests. Everything was set up exactly like we had requested and the staff was extremely helpful from start to finish. It was a little pricey for us, because they charged time and a half for NYE, but compared to other venues, it was reasonably priced. I liked that we were able to bring in our own caterer, as that also kept the cost down. Overall, a great venue I would recommend to future couples looking for a not-so-traditional wedding location.

Amazing venue. Includes tables and chairs! I want to have another party just to use them again. Cindy was amazing, took care of us completely. We took pictures on teh train tracks!

We had our reception at the WPFM and it was awesome! The ladies in the WP Civic Center who make all the reservations for the WPFM were so flexible. I changed the time I wanted the rental to start 3 times and they were so accommodating. The Farmer's Market just had a little renovation work done and it looked great. It has the rustic brick walls and concrete floor that are amazing. In the renovation, they put a fresh coat of paint on all painted surfaces, added ceiling fans and totally revamped the bathrooms w/ granite countertops. It is a great place to have a reception that will have your guests talking in a very good way; it’s got a uniqueness that you won’t find a hotel ballroom.

We LOVED this location for our wedding, it was perfect for our ceremony and reception and completely fit the feel we were going for. The person assigned to 'set up' for us that night was terrible. We asked for 100 chairs, there were about 20 or so thrown out there, with no order to them. Thankfully, my husband and his groomsmen (all 7 of them) were able to knock it out, no problem.
Advice: get married on Friday night there, not Saturday. We were able to hang decorations on Wed. afternoon and would have been able to get in all day Thursday and Friday if needed. If we would have had it on Saturday, we would not have been able to get in until 4pm to do ANY decorating or setting up and rental time is over at midnight!
Overall, a GORGEOUS, clean and unique location!

I was so excited to have my wedding reception at the winter park farmer's market. It was a wonderful atmosphere and everyone enjoyed themselves. There was plenty of room, we had 130 people invited. The only drawback was that on saturdays because they have the market going on in the morning the earlier you can get in there to set up is at 4pm. which was a little bit of a crunch for us since our cocktail hour started at 530pm. But overall it was great and everything worked out.

Awesome site and everyone I spoke to with the City of Winter Park (in reference to this location) was super nice and helpful!

Overall the Farmer's market was the best possible venue for our reception. We really love the space with exposed brick walls, stained concrete floors and the huge patio. It worked out well and went off without a hitch on the day of our wedding. We did have some issues when we were first trying to book the space and had trouble getting anyone to work with us at all, it was like begging to pay them to the rent the space. However, it has since changed hands for who manages the space and they are much better than they originally were. Also you can't beat what the space offers for the price, it was perfect and definitely would recommend it to anyone else. Just power through any vendor issues you may have.

We loved the Farmer's Market for our casual wedding. Our guests had a great time. The tables were waiting for us when we began to set up.

he WPFM was awesome. Everyone complimented how unique the venue was. A lot had doubts on how it would look as a reception venue, but were purely amazed at how well it cleans up. It’s definitely a venue that you have to put some design elements into, but cleans up well! Beulah was great to work with and is best to communicate with via telephone only. The only downfall to the WPFM was that you have to be cleaned up and out of there by midnight, and your not suppose to smoke but people were smoking outside, o-well!

I loved this site & so did our guests. Don't let the outside fool you. This is a fabulous venue with loads of charm. The site was clean & we didn't have any trouble with people. Everyone loved having the patio & it was great for our cocktail hour. Everyone was just so impressed that it wasn't just a normal venue.
