Tastebuds PR and Classic Events

My Husband and I hired Mary Gilmartin to make arrangements for our Son's Birthday Party. We had the most esquisite catering. The food was out of this world. The decor and table settings were unique and tropical; in tune with our Our Pirates of the Caribbean theme.
I highly recommend Tastebuds,P.R. and Classic Events for any event you may be planning.

I just wanted to take a moment to comment on a party i attended a few nights ago. This was not a wedding but a small family birthday party.

I was not a guest, but shooting pictures for the family and they were nice enough to invite me to the table to partake in this lovely dinner.

I must say that i was very impressed by the quality of the food. It was delicious, served hot and presented nicely. Also, the tables were set and decorated in an elegant but a casual island style.

Planning a wedding in PR from far away was difficult and once I found Mary she provided me with a peace of mind and the calmness that I needed. I connected with her immediately and felt that she was very reliable. She provided me with great service and I don't know what I would have done without her!

Mary planned our wedding in Rincon & she made it even better than we ever hoped it could be. We highly recommend her for your next event - she will go above & beyond to make sure your event is fantastic. We were planning a small ceremony & reception for 25 guests on a tight budget. Mary recommended a photographer, musicians, an officiant, restaurants, & things to do during our trip. From the day we arrived she helped us with everything we needed, getting our marriage license, making salon appointments, shopping in town, etc.

Mary set up a rehearsal dinner and we had a few unexpected guests in our party, but she handled the situation like a pro, shuffling some seats around to make room for everyone. The table was decorated for Valentine’s Day & the food was delicious, from the sangria to the homemade tres leches cake.

At Mary’s suggestion we had the wedding ceremony at El Faro lighthouse and she took care of everything to make a romantic sunset wedding that we couldn’t have imagined without her. The gazebo was decorated beautifully and Mary even had drinks and appetizers to keep our guests busy as we took pictures. The reception decorations at the villa were amazing - beautiful conch shell centerpieces with brightly colored flowers, lanterns, lights, shells and candles. Mary incorporated some of our personalized items into her plan w/ no problems and it was the perfect mix of beachy, elegant & fun, exactly what we wanted for our party. The food was incredible. We had dorado w/ bacon, roasted pork, yucca, potatoes, and rice & beans. We had 2 vegetarians & a few food allergies among our guests and everyone was able to have a delicious meal. Due to a power outage Mary had to improvise & grill the fish next to the pool at the reception, but it turned out great. The cake was perfect, coconut cake w/pineapple filling & a fresh flower cascade. Beautiful and yummy! Mary’s staff was very professional, thanks to everyone who helped make our wedding so...

Mary and her team were great! Planning a wedding from Texas to PR could be a little stressful, but Mary eased a lot of pain in the unknowns of a destination wedding. The day was perfect and the food was divine. The details in the planning, cake and decorations were complemented by many, including the groom! Highly recommend working with Tastebuds!

The food was good but they were extremely Late!! The bridal party and I didnt get to eat on time because of that
Everyone was starving at church!!! Also never received a refund for the 2 hours of more of lateness, I paid for 2 waiters extra to make sure there was enough help!!! The contract said that food was to be served from 12 to 6 pm !!! Didn't receive food until 2pm
The guests complained to me about the poor service
Also there was a lot of food left over, as per bridal party, don't know what happened to that either!!
As per Mary Gilmartin, drinks are not provided therefore I went out of my way and bought 4 cases of water bottles and 12 liters soda bottles for guests to have to drink, I and my husband had to carry everything by hand the night before the wedding... From store to hotel!!! Although aware that i bought all the drinks, the drinks were not put out until everyone was almost gone!! Everyone was Hot and Thirsty!!! Don't know what else to say!! This company needs to be more organized and on Time!! This shows lack of professionalism !!

Mary of Tastebuds provided outstanding service for our wedding and comes highly recommended. Everything was communicated to us very well, expectations were exceeded, and the entire staff was very professional. Mary went out of her way to help us shop in town, made great recommendations, and was there to assist with the setup. The food was incredible. My favorite was the coconut-crusted whitefish...wow. I was nervous about a couple menu items being too exotic for some. My best man has the palate of a 5 year old, and watching him try and enjoy everything was great. Every single person enjoyed their dinner and apps. And I couldn't say enough nice things about Mary. Mary was genuinely happy for us, gave big hugs and takes great pride in her job. Thank you so much Mary, for contributing to the best day of our lives.

Planning a wedding in Puerto Rico from Texas was a nightmare until I found Mary. She and her staff were wonderful. They turned a low budget diy wedding reception into something so beautiful and beyond my wildest dreams!! I loved it and absolutely loved working with her. I would recommend Mary and Tastebuds to anyone!!!! And don't get me started about my cake..... so precious, and tasted GREAT!!!

BAR NONE, THIS IS WHO YOU GO TO FOR A WEDDING CATERER.

Mary is the caterer I would choose over ANY in PR...she was the only one to get back to me within a day. This is not only important as a busy nursing student who had no time to plan a wedding, but for someone who is looking to have high quality food for a competitive price. We searched for reasonably menus and only Mary's stood out as one that would allow us to customize our food desires.

She was reliable, quick to respond, and VERY, VERY, VERY flexible. When coming to PR to see our wedding venue, we were there only for 1 day. We had no time to get a tasting, so Mary CAME TO OUR HOTEL before our flight and gave us our tasting right there! I couldn't believe how service oriented she is. No one even in NYC would go out of there way to please a client.

Then we had a crazy request in hot PR - ice cream cake. Even though Rincon and El Rio Grande are on opposite sides of the island, Mary assured me that the ice cream cake would be a hit - AND IT WAS!

Brides and Grooms, take my advice: If you want guaranteed great food on your wedding day at your budget, go with Tastebuds PR.
