Youkeun Oh Photography

Coming from out of the country, I had to plan a wedding in a very short time and it wasn't the most organized of events. Even still, Youkeun was very patient with me and in all the chaos, managed to capture amazing photos. I hadn't expected such beautiful pictures because I didn't have much time to explain our wedding schedule very much but I was pleasantly surprised with our wedding picture preview. I have heard horror stories from other brides that have been much more prepared and vocal about their expectations and I couldn't recommend him more. Most of their complaints is that the pictures didn't look like "wedding" pictures or they just looked bland. His pictures capture the sweetness and joy felt on that day - leaving the craziness out of it - and I got to see a side of our wedding that I couldn't amidst all the running around. Our parents, family and friends look like they had a fabulous time at our wedding and most importantly, the pictures show how happy my husband and I were on that day.

Youkeun has been so friendly and helpful from day 1. We love the romantic and sweet looks of our engagement and wedding photos. Youkeun made us feel so comfortable and at home, even on what's supposed to be the most nerve-wracking day of our lives!

Choosing Youkeun as our photographer was one of our best decisions during the wedding planning process. Not only is he very good at his craft, he's also extremely easy to get along with. His relaxed, calm personality was much appreciated during the stress of the day.

Youkeun's service was the best we could ask for on all levels. Instead of an engagement session we asked Youkeun to capture a separate family event (Paebek + rehearsal dinner). He did a great job getting shots in between dozens of family members trying to get their own shots. I saw the mob of people snapping shots and how frustrating it probably was, but he was very patient and diplomatic and didn't lose his cool. At the wedding, he and his second shooter were mindful and respectful of the church's rules, while still getting beautiful shots. The reception took a little time to get in full swing and Youkeun didn't leave when he filled his hours. He stayed longer to capture as many shots as possible, which we are extremely grateful for. Overall we got amazing photos -- I still get compliments all the time.

Youkeun was so easy to work with!! He made us feel comfortable! We didn't really know what to do so he coached us all the way through the photo-shoot! Very flexible and professional! We would love to work with him again when we have kids or for family portraits! Pictures came out so natural and we love them! He has a great eye and captures your emotions perfectly!

We were told from the start how important it is to invest in a great photographer for our wedding. We met with several photographers but Youkeun really stuck out to us. Not only did we love his style of photography but he is just such a kind person, amazing to work with, and fun to be around. If there is any advice I can give to a couple in search of a photographer, make sure you hire someone with a great personality to work with (along with great quality of work of course). Youkeun always made us feel comfortable and lightened up the mood, and I can't imagine having chosen anyone else to capture our memories on our wedding day. You will see by his work that he is amazing at capturing THE most precious wedding moments and details. For our engagement pictures, my husband and I were really excited but a bit nervous but Youkeun was very easy-going and made us feel relaxed. Also, he let us incorporate some of our own ideas so to fit with our theme for the wedding. On wedding day, you couldn't even tell that he was there, and yet he took some great close-up pictures during the ceremony and the reception.

I found Youkeun Oh a few years back through an old friend of mine. She hired him to take her child's birthday party photos. I liked his work so much that I bookmarked his website. Little did I know I would use him for my engagement and wedding photos.

When it came time to search for a photographer, I immediately thought of Youkeun! I contacted him right away and luckily my wedding date was available. As soon as my husband and I met with him, we knew he was the one. Youkeun was very professional and humble.

Youkeun, Youkeun, Youkeun...

He took our engagement photos and we just fell in love with his work! Can you believe that he started taking pictures as a hobby? Unbelievable! My fiance hates taking pictures but because Youkeun made it so comfortable for both of us that we ended up wanting to take pictures all day long, everyday! He's just a funny guy so we were laughing all day long. We were even late to our appointment yet he was so kind and accommodating that there was no room for awkwardness. I'd definitely recommend him and I can't wait till I see pictures from our wedding day. He really does shine in capturing moments that will be forgotten if not caught by someone else. Two thumbs up!

Youkeun was the perfect find for us. His photography is beautiful. The hardest problem we had was picking our favorite pictures. He is unbelievably easy to work with. My husband had a tough schedule and Youkeun was very understanding and flexible when it came to scheduling our engagement session. When we did shoot our engagement pictures he made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. On our wedding day, he was well dressed, easy going and flexible, which was great since I ended up being late for just about everything. He also has a very calming presence, which as a bride I have to say is beyond amazing. He really understood what was important and at the same time was flexible and eager to make sure we got all of the shots WE wanted. I could go on and on about how wonderful Youkeun is professionally but I think a real selling point for me was how nice he is. My family hasn't stopped talking about how wonderful he is along with his beautiful pictures.

My husband is a photographer himself so I knew we had to pick the perfect photographer. We needed someone creative with a good eye, comfortable to hang out with and easy to talk to, trustworthy and honest, and, overall, a photographer with the technical skills to pull off our engagement shots, wedding for 350 people, and a full-on reception.

We didn't have to research much after we came across Youkeun's photos. He matched our requirements perfectly and even provided more!! Youkeun spent the whole day with us and traveled to three different sites to get the style of pictures we wanted (and never complained once!!). He was extremely accommodating and even provided tips and hints to make us feel at ease with posing (I am very uncomfortable in front of a camera). At the end of the day, my husband and I felt like we were models who took pictures all the time.

The best part of my experience with Youkeun was that I provided a list of all the elements of my wedding that I wanted to capture. I trusted him to take care of everything and I'm typically a micro-manager. Youkeun delivered above and beyond what I expected and I'm so pleased with the product.

Youkeun took our engagement photos and we were so happy to work with him. He's very professional and knows what suites the couple the best. We aren't the most comfortable in front of the camera but Youkeun made sure that we were comfortable and our awkwardness doesn't show! Very easy to work with and very accomodating! Youkeun took both our engagement and wedding pictures and was really great to work with. His working style is very relaxed and comfortable but he still manages to create beautiful and interesting pictures. Both days went really long and he was very patient and accommodating, which we really appreciated. The wedding album he made for us is incredible-we've gotten a lot of compliments on it. Also, the day of the wedding he didn't insist on taking 100 pictures of the same thing over and over which I've witnessed at other weddings, so he helped move the day along nicely as well. My husband and I had to plan a CA wedding from the east coast which made things very stressful and difficult but Youkeun was always so accessible via email and really worked with our budget and tailored our package to what we needed. We even had an extremely difficult wedding coordinator at the church that set all these impossible rules when it came to where the photographer could take pictures from but Youkeun was still able to get some beautiful pictures and managed to charm his way around the situation :) He's so fun and easy to work with and we got a lot of compliments on how beautiful our wedding pictures turned out. He's taken engagement and wedding pictures for some of my friends as well and all of them are very happy and their pictures turned out beautifully also. I am so glad he was our photographer and we definitely recommend him for engagement/wedding photos.

Youkeun knows what photos his couple needs and makes sure that they are shot in the best way possible. He goes out of his way to provide the best images for his brides' big day. Youkeun shot our engagement photos and even though we're pretty close to bring statues in photos, he made us feel super comfortable and captured beautiful images. He's easy going and definitely a photgrapher to put on your list of vendors!

I currently have signed two brides with Youkeun Oh and am truly excited to be working with him! He is very personable, friendly, outgoing and truly a professional in the industry. One of my couples did meet with Youkeun, we then left for another photographer appointment and right after the couple immediately said their mind was set on Youkeun.
