Absolutely loved loved loved working with Joni!! Was so friendly and easy to work with. Very well footed and respected in the wedding community and was very knowledgable about her craft. Was available always to answer all annoying questions and willing to meet with you in person whenever needed. Has several connections and was able to get us in touch with all the great vendors that made our wedding day so fun and special. Joni became a friend and my husband and I will never forget her!!!

Your Special Day by Joni is not just a wedding planning service, it is like having your best friend with you every step of the way to help you plan and then live the wedding of your dreams. There was no request to small or to large for Joni and every detail was attended to. Not living near the wedding venue, Joni selected all my vendors for us and because of her choices, it was the wedding of our dreams. I had everything I wanted there, the cream color scheme, the crystal chandeliers, the plexiglass over the pool dance floor, the harpist, the 5 piece jazz band, the surf and turf menu, the most beautiful gold embroidered wedding cake, and the pyramid of Tiffany blue boxes containing small bowls for the favors hand given to guests as they left the wedding. Everything was perfect and Joni, although she seemed like a friend I knew all my life, always conducted herself in a professional manner and remained cool and calm no matter how panicked I got as the wedding day approached. My husband and I, as well as many of our guests, see our wedding as one of the most beautiful weddings we have ever been to. This is all thanks to Joni, who truly made March 30, 2013 Our Special Day. Joni was absolutely AMAZING! At first when I started planning my wedding, I wasn't going to hire a planner but I decided to and was so glad that I went with Joni. She is so organized and the day went so smoothly. Everything was on time and she took care of everything. The reception was so gorgeous when I walked into the room. Joni was amazing. She was almost always available when I called/emailed her and if she was not, she always returned my call in a timely fashion. Joni was so nice and amazing from the very first day I met her! My fiance and I had no idea where to start and she guided us every step of the way. Joni was the most helpful, organized, friendly wedding planner! She helped me plan the most wonderful wedding, me working from California, and her planning from Florida, the location of the wedding. She suggested various vendors who were terrific, and she was very helpful in balancing me out. She managed all my vendors day of. She helped me every step of the way, from the very beginning when I was searching for venues (she suggested the venue that I chose, and I chose it because of her work at the site with another wedding). I got married in Delray Beach, Florida, and Joni was absolutely amazing to work with. I was planning this wedding long distance from Chicago, and at first I thought I could handle everything myself. In hindsight, I seriously don't know what I would have done without her! She referred me to several terrific vendors (whom I used with great success and who were quite affordable), she understood our wants (some of which were non-traditional) and executed them perfectly, she was respectful of my budget concerns, she always made me feel like I was her only bride, and finally, she's just a delight to be around! We booked with Joni after we decided on the reception venue, and she was an enormous help on planning every other detail, big and small. On the day of the wedding, she was a calming and organized presence, and she made everything run flawlessly. She's a true professional, and handled everything (even my last minute changes to the timeline and speeches that ran an hour over time) with grace and a smile. What words exist for this woman?!?! Having Joni guiding me through the planning process was a dream, there were things that I didn't realize had to be done, the little intricate details that a wonderful wedding planner would know to ask but all the magazines and websites don't really get that far into the weeds. Joni handled everything, from helping me get a block of rooms for the guests, looking over my contracts with the venue (many times), photographer, DJ, flower person, etc. When there were a few discrepancies with the venue, Joni was on the phone with them right away and her follow-up to me was impeccable! I was never left wondering what the state of one of my questions or an issue was.

Everything was planned down to the minute, she coordinated with all parties involved and was literally the go-to person. People would ask me when something was going to happen or how, I would just tell them to relax and the wedding planner would take care of it, let her do her job. That's what I did and what a job she did!! I certainly could not have survived if it had not been for her, I actually enjoyed my wedding and spent time with my guests! Something I hear a lot of brides say they weren't able to do and wish they had a wedding planner! I was not stressed at all on the day and I owe it all to Joni and her expertise and professionalism!

Joni turns good into PERFECT!

When we first started planning for our wedding, my husband and I thought we didn't need to hire the professional help of a wedding planner. And we did pretty good at finding the perfect place for the venue, the photographer, the hair/makeup artist, the videographer, etc. We had a pretty good idea of what we wanted as far as colors, flowers, style, etc. However, as the planning progressed and got down to the little details, we were both clueless...there were so many little details, and we wanted everything to flow smoothly from beginning to end. That's when it became clear that we needed help. Joni was referred to us by the catering director of our venue. He said she was the best and highly recommended her. Oh boy, was he right?!! Joni came into the picture one month before my wedding and she took over for us! She is so organized and so detailed oriented, she thinks of all the smallest important details, and that just makes you feel like everything is going to be ok and she gives you the peace of mind that you need before your wedding. We are very glad we hired her, our only regret is we didn't hire her from the very beginning of our planning. That would have saved us a lot of unecessary stress! I truly belive that with her help, our wedding went from good to absolutely perfect!

I was married on July 10th at The Plaza Hotel in NYC. I could not have asked for a more amazing woman to help me with all of my details than Joni. She is not only an unbelievable wedding planner, but an unbelievable person as well.

There is no way we could have had so much fun planning and enjoying our wedding without a planner, but I cannot imagine any wedding planner nor have I heard of a planner that came come close to doing the job that Joni does. I know I would not of kept my sanity if it wasn't for her. She was my "person" for everything, and I can honestly say I miss her now that it's over! Out of all the money we spent for the wedding, my husband and I both agree our money was the most "well spent" on her. I highly recommend her to all you brides out there, she is the best!!

Joni knows this business backwards and forwards and has contacts with the best vendors in the area. She is patient and will talk to you any time she's needed. Joni understood my vision and helped make it happen, from the dress to the flowers to the food. Even after the wedding she has been invaluable in dealing with post-wedding blues and continuing to communicate with vendors. For my husband and I, being an older couple, it was important that understood exactly where we were coming from. I would highly recommend her to brides of all ages.

I contacted Joni on a Saturday morning approximately 4 weeks before my daughters wedding. My daughter and now her husband were getting married in South Florida and I live in MN and was feeling a bit overwhelmed. She said she personally was booked for the day, but would have an assistant work with us the day of the wedding and she would work with us prior to the wedding. After I got off the phone I was so relieved. I sent her a numerous emails and she would be back in touch very quickly; we also had 2 conference calls along with meeting with the hotel a few days before the wedding. Although it's been almost a year since my wedding, I'll never forget how great Joni was to work with up to the day of my wedding. She helped create an amazing timeline, which the DJ loved, and gave me some great ideas to make my wedding more fun! Even though she was deathly ill on the day of my wedding, she still came to make sure the reception was set up perfectly and all my "specifics" were met. She is very detail-oriented and knows everything there is to know about planning the most perfect day! She also has amazing relationships with so many vendors that she can refer. Our wedding turned out exactly the way I had envisioned. Joni handled every little detail so that I didnt have to think or worry about it. She thought of things I never would of thought of. She is extrememly talented at what she does. She has great ideas and has an awesome sense of style and sophistication that shows thru her work. She knew exactly the kind of wedding I wanted and she made my vision come to life precisily how I wanted. She was as dedicated to my wedding as if it were her own and in the end it really showed! Joni is absolutely fabulous! She really went above and beyond for my husband and I. We were planning an out of town wedding and she was extremely responsive via email and phone. She definitely helped me out with a few tricky things and offered her expertise on others. Although I didn't purchase the full planning package, she was very valuable to me the whole time, answering any questions I had.

I purchased her day-of-services and she did just what I had hoped, which was taking care and organizing all my vendors, keeping to the timeline, making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be, which allowed me to really enjoy my wedding. She even dealt with one of my vendors bowing out the day of, which I know would have ruined my day, but by her dealing with it, I avoided that stress.

Joni was my wedding angel! I am in the industry myself and knew right off the bat the a brides BEST FRIEND (or worst enemy) is a wedding planner. Joni, was the easiest, kindest, most professional, therapeutic person I have ever had the joy of meeting and pleasure of working with! She became my dearest confident during this process. I had some pretty "interesting" and stressful family conflicts. Joni had a solution for everything; she made me feel not just normal-but safe- I could talk to her. I could relax the day of my wedding knowing that Joni was in control. When other vendors started thinking "outside the box" Joni reeled them back in and put them on track. She kept us on budget, on time, stress free and the venue was SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!!! Since my wedding my mother and I comment ALL the time how Joni was the best money we ever spent. She blended in, kept her calm and.. OH and at the end of the night when we were well into the party (and champagne), she saw the rain clouds coming from a distance and brought all the gifts inside!!!!! AMAZING!!!

I highly recommend using Your Special Day by Joni for your wedding planning needs. I found Joni through her website, after I'd gone looking for some help to finish planning our destination wedding in her area. The wedding was set in Florida and we were in Indiana. We were having a lot of trouble with our decorator that we'd hired, and asked Joni to come in to help us work with her from that time until the wedding day. Up until that point, we hadn't had any problems but we were now seeing how it'd be beneficial to have a planner in Florida. Joni came in and did exactly what we needed her to do and more! She went to meetings for us at our location, she spoke to and arranged all of our vendor's schedules, helped me find amazing day of hair and makeup artists; and best of all, she dealt with our unproffesional decorator so we did not have to. Joni also kept us calm, and helped us find a new photographer when the one that we hired on our own turned out to be a scam, and ran off with our deposit. Joni was a dream come true, and she helped my husband and I's dream wedding become a reality! Her help was appreciated and meant more to us than she'll ever know!
