Erik is an amazing photographer to work with...I could not have asked for anything more. I would recommend him a thousand times over. Erik was so easy to work with before, during and after my event.

I agonized over the decision of hiring a wedding photographer and so glad I made the right decision. Erik is easy going and great to work with. He was always just a phone call away if I had a question and we met to go over all the details before the big day. He actually even gave some other helpful non-photography advice about the music that worked out great too! I love my wedding photos, especially the candid shots and the portraits. He had them online within a few days and I only wished the hotel on our honeymoon had a faster wifi connection. Highly recommended!

Eric was so awesome to work with!!! He is so easy going and made us feel so comfortable!! We absolutely loved our photos and how he was able to capture the emotion and all of our special moments on our wedding day! Our album was beautifully done as well!! Eric is not only a talented photographer but an wonderful person :)

We are very happy that Erik Matey was our photographer. When we were originally checking out photographers online, his work stood out above the rest. He is the only photographer that we considered. My husband and I didn't want anyone else after seeing Erik's work.
We selected a package with an engagement session, so we had the pleasure of having Erik 'shoot' us twice. He really put us at ease, or at least as much as you can be at ease with a camera in your face! When I started feeling weird about a pose, he would stop to show me the shots that he had taken so far. He was very professional, and very, very talented.
On our wedding day, Erik handled everything very smoothly. He followed my direction, and rolled with any last-minute changes. I hardly remember seeing him, yet he took photos from every moment. On the times when I do remember seeing him, he was climbing things or rolling around on the floor, doing anything to get the shot. The photos turned out beautifully.
After the wedding though, we learned how lucky we were to have chosen Erik. Believe it or not, Erik was the one pressuring us to contact him. He was finished with the photos long before we were ready to start thinking about them. His responses have always been immediate, even when it would take us several weeks to get back to him. He had our album finished almost immediately, and it is not an album, it is art. My husband and I love it. When we made suggestions for different photos to include, Erik made the changes instantly. If you have never worked with a photographer before, I cannot stress how rare this is. I have girlfriends who had to wait months before seeing their album, and they were constantly hounding their photographer to call them back. This was never the case with Erik.
To round it out, Erik is truly a nice guy. He delivered our albums personally to our home, and spent hours editing our photos. We are very confident in recommending Erik. He is very talented and his photos are amazing.

Erik has a great eye and the uniqueness of our event really shone through in his photography! I did not want to compromise on the photography because it is very important to me as an amateur photographer myself. I am very happy that I found Erik and chose him for our special day!

Words really can't express how happy we are to have chosen Erik as our wedding photographer. He is truly talented and has an eye for photography. From day one Erik was so accommodating, friendly and really easy and enjoyable to work with. The minute I met with him and saw samples of his work I knew we had to have him do our wedding. We did engagement photos also with Erik and they came out fabulous. We always felt comfortable having him around and by the end of the wedding, it was like we were having an old friend take our pictures! He's very laid back and easy going and knows how to make you just relax and have fun while you're taking the pictures. Going through the photos was like reliving everything from our wedding. He really captured the emotion and feeling of the day and All of our wedding photos came out amazing and beautiful and exactly how I wanted them. Erik really takes unique and different shots- and we have received so many compliments on the wedding photos. Our experience with Erik has been nothing but great and I would honestly say he was one of the best choices we made regarding our wedding, and I would recommend him to anyone in a heart beat.
