Open Door Ministries provided an officiant who we were very pleased with. He was on time, professional and dressed appropriately. He performed our ceremony in a dignified manner and made our day special. I would definitely recommend this organization because they serve all different faiths, will match you with a suitable officiant and suggest different types of ceremonies. I think their price is a little high, but other than that, we have no complaints.

My Officiant's name was Mack. What a Big Hearted man! He set the tone for my whole wedding in a really positive way. Something about his presence I think made people comfortable and relaxed.
During my wedding planning process I soon found out that Creative Wedding Ceremonies are exactly what the name implies. "You" the Bride or Groom, in my case, just me the bride put together my own ceremony. I was shocked at first but Mack assured me this was a great way to do things, that I could put anything I wanted in the ceremony and make it really personal. He sent me a bunch of his favorite readings from which I ended up choosing the majority of the ceremony from. He had some amazing passages and quotes in his favorite stuff that he sent me. I used that and then added a couple things of my own including a "Remembrance" section to acknowledge my husband's parents who have passed away and also a "Love Story" part with a little bit of the story of what it was like for us to fall in love. Mack helped me through it a long the way and gave me several pep talks :-) He became a friend along the way and I really enjoyed having him as someone I could talk to in the time leading up to the big day. He is a very genuine man with a great big voice like Morgan Freeman :-) Great to narrate a movie or your wedding ceremony LOL. Most of the time, he made me laugh, which is very important to do during all the hectic stress of wedding planning.
If you detest making decisions or the idea of being really instrumental in the way your ceremony turns out, maybe this way might not be for you. But if you like getting involved, this is the way to go. Even if you are a little bit afraid of it (as I certainly was at first. It is amazing how fearful I sometimes became of decision-making during my wedding planning process), but you think there might be something nice about it, definitely go for it! You'll get into the flow soon enough, and you'll start to feel really romantic while putting it all together. Thank you Mack for an absolutely beautiful wedding...
Working with Michael Steumpfle as our officiant was a very pleasant experience. I provided Michael with the wording I wanted for our ceremony and he provided a wonderful and calming atmosphere which was enjoyable for everyone.
