Joy Zaffarano was just a delight! She is very professional and is truly a great photographer. My husband and I are so thrilled that she was the one who captured our wedding day for us. The images she captured are a pleasure to look at and a fantastic way for us to never forget that day. You will be doing yourself a great service to use her as your photographer.

We interviewed several photographers before met Joy and she was such a breath of fresh air! She has a great easy going personality; we knew right away we wouldn’t be “directed” on our wedding day. Joy was the perfect mix of capturing our attention when it was needed and she captured the “behind the scenes” candid images that we love. She is so easy to work with and her talent is obvious in the super creative, one of a kind images. It was such a comfort not having to worry about the photography portion of my special day. Joy is professional, yet fun and her pricing packages can fit any budget. . If you are tired of ho hum “set up” images, than Joy is the right fit for sure. Thanks to Joy we have a cherished collection of images from our “beginning”.

We are certainly not a traditional couple and we weren't having a traditional wedding so why would we have a traditional photographer. We wanted someone who would capture the essence of our day in a unique way and that's why we hired Joy. She definately delivered. We have really great photos to remember forever. Joy and her assistant were a pleasure to work with. They were fun and nice, and did any photo we asked, but mostly we just let them do their thing.
I did not buy a photobook from her since I have a design background and can design my own, so no feedback on that but I'm sure the ones she does are beautiful.
We would recommend her to anyone who wants that nice combination of traditional and artistic.

If you're looking for wedding/bridal pictures that are unique, I strongly suggest hiring Joy Zaffarono. She was a pleasure to work with. I didn't want standard posed pictures and that's exactly what we got. We just went on about our day (with "paparazzi" in tow) and Joy's artful eye captured some truly stunning photos. She was willing and eager to take any pics we wanted but I basically let her take the lead since she's the artist. She also shot in both black and white and in color. Thanks Joy for making our wedding memories so special and unique!

How many photographers do you work with?

You hire me for my photography skills, you will not get someone else. I do work with another experienced photographer on weddings upon request.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Yes! I am the one you hired!

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

Never in a day...I will do 2 events a weekend.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

Yes.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

Extra batteries,lenses and camera.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

2 cameras.

Do you charge hourly or full day?

I like to keep prices low so local couples get the best deals because of location.

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?

I never like to set a price in stone, every job is different. Anywhere from $50 to $125 an hour.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

6-8 hour requires a break for anyone doing any job. A meal is requested for lengthy shoots.

Do you charge for travel?

That is the only reason I would charge more. Local jobs keep the price down.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

2 weeks.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

on-line then delivered on DVD

How long can the client keep the proofs?

cd is yours to keep

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

I do but client is free to print and share as they please without profit.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

yes.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?

Will images be available for viewing online?

Yes, with an interactive gallery and shopping cart

What kind of albums do you offer?

Leather or Photo wrap flush mounted. I also offer a more penny-wise hinged photo book
