Fave Wedding Items to Register For! article photo

Find out what couples all over the country are registering for as they count down the days until their wedding.

Gone are the days of fine china and sterling silver -- what's hot right now is the Kindle, the Wii and anything related to cooking!

Many couples who already have a good amount of bakeware and necessary gadgets opt to have wedding goers send contributions to their favorite charities in lieu of gifts - a fantastic idea that makes everyone feel the love!

Here's the list of top wedding registry items according to Amazon.com right now:

1. Wii - the best thing about this is you can play with your soon-to-be hubby or wife! We especially love the Wii fit games!

2. Nonstick-bakeware sets - you can't argue with an old favorite!

3. Slow cookers

4. The Kindle Wireless Reading Device

5. Wii Fit Plus with Balancing Board

6. Pyrex storage 10-piece set

7. Spatula sets

8. Nonstick silicone baking mat

9. Oxo Good Grips Box Grater

10. Amazon.com gift card - the great thing about this gift is it fits within anyone's budget!

This is too funny! My fiancée and I registered at target yesterday and we did put a Wii on there! Weve lived together for 5 years and we have everything we need as far as our house. I put a new pots and pans set also, but honestly they are se price. I think you should register for things you want. Plus, it makes it more fun for the groom. What man gets excited about towels and dishware?

Boo. Sorry I missed the first version of this article! If it's being described as "trashtastic" (love it! lol) it must've been pretty classless and uncouth hehe I like these ideas though...and as previously stated, it's nice if people don't buy certain items that you can get a discount on them after the wedding.

The good thing about putting "big ticket" items on your registry is you can get a discount on it after the wedding.  Some stores will give you a certain percentage off because you registered for it.  I don't think it's rude as long as you have lots of other small items on the list.  No one is making your guests buy the big stuff.
