A Red and White Summer Table
Use the season's sweetest fruit to create a cheery table! (expert advice)
We used strawberry season as the inspiration for this table setting, and the result is a relaxed-yet-chic look with lots of white and pops of vibrant red.
We started with a basic white tablecloth, and then used three red-striped tea towels to create a runner down the center.
In lieu of a formal centerpiece, we filled three jars with just a few stems of white flowers and placed them along the runner, and added smaller cups of the same flowers in between the arrangements. Along the runner, in between the flowers, we lined up fresh red strawberries as a fun (and edible!) accent.
We put a homemade napkin and silverware inside jars, tied them each with a name tag, and placed them atop each plate to serve as both a place setting and an oh-so-country drinking glass. Simple white plates keep the look simple and elegant.
