Your bachelorette party should be almost as memorable as your wedding. Santa Barbara promises excitement, relaxation, and an unforgettable visit – whether you’re getting married in the spring, summer, or winter.

Santa Barbara boasts warm, Mediterranean style temperatures year round, making the beautiful beaches and romantic vineyards even more enjoyable. The nightlife is perfect for a girls’ night out and the spas in the area have mastered the art of pampering. Pack your bags and take off for a bachelorette weekend you’ll never forget in sunny Santa Barbara.

What to Bring

In Santa Barbara, every day is like spring, so pack accordingly. The daylight hours are sunny and warm, but the nights are a bit cooler. It’s a good idea to bring along a light jacket. Also remember to pack your swimsuit and a comfortable pair of walking shoes if you plan to explore the city.

Where to Stay

If you’re planning an overnight bachelorette party, Santa Barbara has a tremendous selection of accommodations. Book a weekend at an all-inclusive spa resort by the beach or rent a private villa in the heart of the action. From a quaint bed and breakfast to luxurious and spacious vacation rentals, you should have no problem finding accommodations that fit your desires as well as your budget.

What to Do

There is so much to see and do in Santa Barbara; you’ll want some sort of itinerary to make the most of your time.

  • P & R (pampering and relaxation) bachelorette party. Check in to one of the many bed and breakfast inns – some include wine and hors d‘oeuvres each afternoon as well as breakfast. Head downtown for the evening to enjoy dinner, drinks, and live music. Schedule a massage and facial for the second day, followed by a wine tour and tasting at a nearby vineyard. Be sure to do a little shopping before the party’s over.

  • Bachelorette party in the great outdoors. If you want to take advantage of the gorgeous Santa Barbara weather and enjoy the beauty of the landscape, you can ‘rough it’ in style with furnished nature cabins or enjoy a weekend camping with the girls. Explore the natural beauty on horseback, by kayak, or on foot and don’t forget to squeeze in a whale-watching cruise.

  • Santa Barbara on a budget. Your bachelorette party can be exciting without costing as much as the wedding. Get a good deal on hotel rooms by booking online. You can also find discounts, coupons, and special offers on travel sites and the official Santa Barbara Visitors Bureau website.

Of course, no visit to Santa Barbara is complete without a day at the beach – there’s 110 miles of coast so take a couple of hours to work on your tan. You’ll also want to include a night on State Street in your plans for some traditional bachelorette party dancing before ending your weekend in Santa Barbara.

I went with my MoH to Santa Barbara two years ago (as part of our PH-1 trip from San Fransisco to San Diego) and we rode a bicyle built for two on the beach!  It was amazing!!  What a beautiful city!!

Team Bride: Albequerques and Q's are both closed down now : (

but a FUN place for bachelorette events is where Q's used to be ... it's called Savoy and it's a burlesque bar!
