Who doesn't love the vibe of an elegant rustic wedding day? This DIY setting is easy, gorgeous and can be completed in a few steps!

Tips & Tricks of the Trade:

The personalized buckets can be used as a centerpiece for each table, or to personalize a buffet or self-serve table.

The sap buckets were all found on eBay by searching for "sap buckets."  I loved the old patina of each one, but if you prefer a new look, similar ones can be purchased here or by Googling "galvanized buckets."

The look of this table setting is elegant rustic.  Note the use of a crisp white tablecloth to bring the elegance up a notch; but the old buckets, easy flowers, and use of twine keep it simple and country.

Blue hydrangeas are perfect DIY flowers because they are no-brainers to arrange.  We ordered ours in bulk online (Costco is also a great place for bulk flowers), cut them and put them in water when they arrived, and then arranged the the morning of the wedding.

A lovely compliment to the old buckets is pewter, like the round plate, the salt and pepper shaker, and the pitcher holding silverware in my photos.  Pieces can be found at secondhand shops and eBay, and they give the feeling of entertaining with family heirlooms.

A paper flag bunting is whimsical and of-the-moment.  The paper used is by Amy Butler for K&Company and can be found online here.

The colors -- hydrangea blue, steel grey, and hints of green -- are modern and fresh.  The grey is softened by the floppy flowers and lots of white.  The old buckets and pewter give the look depth.

Hydrangea leaves were used to add a flourish to the napkins; the twine is simple and homey!

This is what I would envision. But my wedding is so simple, colors seem to be a moot point. ;)
