A Lovely Teal Table Setting
Create this elegant winter table with teal and paperwhites! (expert advice)
Setting a winter table with sumptuous colors and fabrics doesn't have to be expensive!
For this elegant table, we used cut paperwhites (if you are sensitive to smell, you could also use garden roses, calla lilies, peonies, spray roses, or tulips), and stuffed them into a simple glass vase. We took a few stems and placed them in votive holders as well. We placed the centerpiece on a thrifted china plate. For place settings, we used homemade linen napkins (if you buy in bulk, you can often find great deals on fabric, try fabricdepot.com). We tied it all up with very inexpensive seam binding ribbon (you can find it at marthasteweartcrafts.com). Be sure and leave the ribbons on your centerpiece longer, for a dramatic effect. The table is set on a piece of raw silk we used as an overlay. You could also make one as a runner if your budget is tighter. Or, rent a plain cotton cloth in a similar color.
Your guests will love being seated at such a an elegant table!
