DIY Cake Stand

My fiance is AWESOME! He conceptualized and built our cake stand all by himself!

Materials:

• 2 16" styrofoam wreaths
• 1 12" smooth edge separator plate for cakes
• 2 yds of satin
• 6 ft floral garland
• 1 yd of lace ribbon
• 1 box of pearl-headed pins

He glued the wreaths together, mounted the separator plate on top, draped the satin, and pinned the floral garland lace all around.

(Those are our DIY cake toppers in the bottom left. I'll post photos when they're done. :D) When he was through, we joked about having to weight test the stand, so we used our cat, Skuz:
