Homemade Crocheted Heart Runner
Your guests will feel right at 'home!' (expert advice)
A crocheted heart runner is a sweet and homespun way to center your reception tables and make everyone feel right at home.
Materials
To make the runners you will need crocheted doilies, which you can purchase at most local craft stores (look for the thick off white ones, they will lend the best texture for the project). Scissors, thread and a needle.
Step One
The first step is to cut out all the hearts. The great thing about this project is that they don't need to be perfect. We free-handed ours by folding each doilies in half but you could use a printed template if you prefer.
Step Two
Once all the hearts are cut, decide which will be the back side of your runner and using just a couple of stitches thread each heart together with the next.
Step Three
Lay the string of embroidered doily hearts on top of a colored table cloth or textured ribbon to add a pop of color to your handcrafted design.
