DIY Decor: Orange + Poppy

Throw a modern wedding party or shower with bright orange and poppy red! (expert advice)

Few color combinations are as warm and inviting as orange and red. See how we used these colors to make simple yet inspired place settings.

First, we hung tissue paper flowers for big impact (available at party supply stores).

Next, we covered a rectangular table in a red floor-length rental cloth.

For a centerpiece we added two modern vases and a few stems of orange and red ranunculus.

Shots of white were added with Chivari chairs and white dishes. We made white and red checked napkins, tied them with plain white string, a white tag from an office supply store and wrote each persons name in red ink. We topped it off with an orange flower.
