DIY: Tears of Joy packets article photo

A cute way to store the Tissues that will be used by the guests during your Ceremony

What You’ll Need:

·        Cardstock of your choice

·        Ruler

·        Scissors/paper cutter

·        Paper Glue

·        Ribbon to decorate

Instructions:

1. I used the Regular 8.5x11 paper.. But you could also use the 12x12

2. I cut the paper into 5” x 8.5” (able to make 2 tears of joys per sheet)

3. then you’ll need to score the length of paper about ¼ inch. I just eyed it and use a ruler and a metal file to do this.  You’ll want to score on the side of paper you want everyone to see.  It will be bent the opposite way.

4. then flip the paper over and fold down the flaps you just scored.

5. measure about 3” and score on the inside of the packet.

6. now the fun part.. glue the flaps you folded in together with glue for paper.. depending on the glue you could be holding them closed for awhile.. (recommend fast setting glue for paper)

7. also I recommend cutting the flaps that show on the top.

8. now score the top flap (on the inside paper) leave some room so tissues show on the inside of packet. Make putting tissues in easier. and fold it down. you might need to cut the bottom flap before gluing.*AS SEEN BELOW*

9. for the decoration I just used different papers or ribbons to get different textures.

10. mount your label wherever you want it. I use the wording “Tears of Joy, Tears of Laughter, Tears of Happily Ever After

If you’re confused by any of this just PM me and I’ll try and help you.  Hard to describe in detail.
