Once paint has dried, sand the edges of the plaque to create a distressed look on the wood.

Using Microsoft Word on your computer, create your desired word(s) to display on your sign. Use Word Art and be sure to flip the word so that it appears backwards on the page.
-
Print the word onto your iron-on transfer paper.

Trim excess paper of the transfer paper away from your word.
-
Place transfer paper in desired position on top of your plaque.
