I made these Red and Aqua martini invitations for my own "Love in Paradise" bridal shower, but they could be taylored to any occasion.

Supplies needed for this project:

Double sided scrapbook paper/card stock

White card stock

Aqua sheer ribbon

Double sided tape

Black ink stamp pad

Glue Dots

Tools needed for this project:

Martini and umbrella stamp (Rubbernecker.com)

Computer Printer

Paper Trimmer

Scissors

Colored Pencils

ATG 700 tape gun (optional)

Directions:

I made these invitations 5 x 7 inches to fit inside an A7 envelope, as the stamped image is very large (3.5 inches) and it fit nicely on this size invitation.  Rubbernecker stamps also has this same image in a 1.75 inch version.

Compose your invitation wording in a word processing program, using .5 inch right side margin.   Justify the wording to the right side of your document to allow enough room on the invitation for the stamped image.   Print the invitation out on white card stock.  With your paper trimmer, trim your invitation card to 6 ¾ inches by  4 ¾ inches.  Set aside.

Ink your martini stamp with the black stamp pad and stamp it onto white card stock.   Ink your umbrella stamp with the stamp pad and stamp it over the martini glass, so that it looks like it’s coming out of the glass.  Color in the image with colored pencils and cut out with scissors.

Take your double- sided scrapbook paper and cut a 5 inch by 7 inch panel.  You should be able to get two of these out of one 12 X 12 piece of paper.    Cut another strip of the scrapbook paper 3 1/4 inches wide by 5 inches long.

Apply the double sided tape to the back of the invitation card and position it over the scrapbook paper so that there is a 1/8 inch border showing evenly around the invitation and secure it in place.  Next, apply the double-sided tape onto the back of your small strip of paper and tape down on the left side of the invitation, matching it up with the end of the paper underneath.

Apply tape to the back side of martini glass and tape down on top of the scrapbook paper.   Tie the aqua ribbon into a small bow and use a glue dot to secure to the base of the martini glass.

Note:  I use a 3M ATG 700 tape gun for all my invitation, card and scrapbook paper projects.  The tape is easy to apply and reposition if I make a mistake.  It’s also easy to cleanup the little tape “goobers” that occur by rubbing them off with your fingers or a special eraser made especially for the job.   If you do not want to invest in an ATG gun, good old double-sided scotch tape works just fine.
