(community article)
Moss covered letters are a simple, economically friendly project that will bring beautiful detail to your wedding.
Materials:
All of these materials can be purchased at your local craft store such as JoAnns or Michaels.
1. Paper letters
2. Moss
3. Glue gun and glue sticks
4. 1.5" ribbon in the color of your choice
5. T-pins
Simply heat up the glue gun, apply a steady stream of glue to one section of the letter in a random pattern so that the moss has enough adhesive to stick to.
Place moss on top of heated glue and press firmly.
Continue until your letter is completely covered.
Once your letter is completed covered, cut the ribbon to the desired length. Starting with one end, place on the back of the letter and secure with T-pins. Repeat this process for the other side. The ribbon will be securely fastened and you should not have to be worried about it becoming loose.
If you are securing the letters to a gate, you can forgo the ribbon and wire the letters directly to the structure as shown below.
