Supplies/Materials:

Card stock in your chosen color

Patterned paper or gift-wrap

Double sided tape

Embellishment of choice (Ribbon, stickers, flowers, rhinestones)

Avery Labels size 8160

“Nugget” style chocolate candies

Tools needed for this project:

Paper trimmer with scorer

Scissors

Stamp pad and ink or computer printer

Directions:

For the Box Tray bottom:

Diagram A

Cut your card stock to 4 inches by 7 ¼ inches.  Score the 7 ¼ inch side of your card stock at 1 ½ inches from each end.  (See diagram A)  Score the 4 inch side of your card stock at ½ inch and 1 ¼ inches from each end.  Looking at the short sides of the box tray, you will see 5 rectangles.  You only need 3.  Cut out the two smallest rectangles on the very outside of the box up to the score lines running the opposite way.

Next, cut in between the remaining rectangles up to the score line running the opposite way.  Do this on both sides of your box.  Fold the box all along the score lines to make it easier to form into a box.

Fold the long side (½ inch) of the box in to form the sides.  Place double sided tape underneath to secure.  Next, fold the “tabs” of the end of your box in.  This should leave the very middle rectangle sticking up.  Fold the middle rectangle over the two tabs to form the end of your box. Fold it as tight as you can get it.  Repeat on the other side.  You should now have the bottom tray of your box.

For the Sliding Top:

Diagram B

Cut your card stock to 4 ¼ inches by 5 ¾ inches.  Score the 5 ¾ inch side at 1 ¼ inches and 2 1/8 inches from each end.  (See Diagram B)  Fold the sliding top around the bottom tray of your box and seal the bottom with double sided tape.  Not too tight as you need to be able to slide the box tray in and out.

Cut your patterned paper to 3 ¾ inches by 5 ¾ inches.  Wrap around the outside of your box and secure the bottom with double sided tape.  Be careful to position the paper evenly so that you can see ¼ inch of your colored card stock on each end of the box.

Embellish your candy box with flowers, rhinestones, tags or tie a pretty ribbon around the outside.

Stamp the labels with desired designs or words to match the outside of your box.  Alternatively, you can use your computer printer to print out designs or words.  Wrap the labels around 4 of the chocolate nugget candies and place inside the box, slide the box closed

Oh!  Those look great.  May I ask where you got the flower and how you attached it?
