DIY Wedding Challenge: Wedding Bells
For scattering at your reception or for your recessional! (community article)
Wedding bells are symbolic of a couple's new life together. Historically, church bells would ring to announce a new union to the world. Superstition also held that wedding bells brought luck and that their ringing would ward off evil spirits intent on ruining the new couple's joy. Traditionally bells ring as the couple walks down the aisle together, as newlyweds but also can be used at a reception as "kissing bells." When someone rings a bell, the new couple must kiss! Here is an easy way to create beautiful personal bells for all your guests for less than $10, adding some color and another sensory memory to your big day!
Supplies:
Small to medium jingle bells, widely available at craft stores
Thin ribbon in your color of choice, preferably about 1/4 of an inch making it easier to thread.
Steps:

3. tie a bow or knot on each one
4. display in a pretty basket or crystal bowl!
