DIY Wedding: The Story Line
Instead of a guestbook, set the tone for a lighthearted wedding party with a story line! (expert advice)
Instead of the traditional guest book, set the tone for a fun and lighthearted wedding party with a story line!
Have some white card stock cut into the size of a postcard. Kinkos will do this very inexpensively or you could just do it yourself. Set out different color pens, using your wedding colors or venue as a cue, and a bowl of clothespins. Finally, post a sign with instructions.
A little tip: It's great to have a few close friends display their stories prior to guests arriving to start the trend!
Have guests write their favorite memory or funny story about you, your spouse to be, or you both as a couple. Encourage people to doodle and illustrate their stories. Display the cards by tying twine or white string across a corner of the room or between two trees, if you are outside. It will encourage conversation and bring together friends from different corners of your life.
